A dog's anal glands are the two small sacks bracketing the anus. If you notice that your dog is continually licking his rectal area or dragging this area across the ground it may indicate that the anal glands of the dog are full or infected. Regularly emptying or expressing the anal glands manually will provide relief to your pet.

We have been loyal customers at the other location in Frisco for 5+ years. Called for an appointment through google search and google directed me to this location. The guy scheduled me without confirming the location and when I went to drop my dogs off he told me it was my fault that he turned away two customers at my expense. Super rude. Such a shame to have lost valued customer by bullying over the phone instead of owning up to a miscommunication.

Legacy Grooming did FANTASTIC with our Persian cat. Our cat does not do well with grooming, but Legacy Grooming took great care of her and she looked so good with her new lion cut. I was able to see the last few minutes of her grooming and they were so careful/gentle with her I was very impressed. I highly recommend them - true professionals!

Just called to ask about pricing and the person that answered with "yeah, talk to me" so I proceeded to ask what the price was for my Rottweiler to which the unprofessional associate that answered said they don't do Rottweilers and said thank you for calling. Without explanation or reasoning behind it, it's a shame certain groomers discriminate the breed. Go somewhere else, don't bother with this place.

Tried this place for the first time. My dog is skittish and when I am around she is very protective. I made sure to mention this and i think he was the owner said "we don't take aggressive dogs!" Very worried. I reassured she wasn't aggressive, just skittish. He then said "okay because she's a big girl and she can hurt someone if she wanted to".
I don't think I needed to hear this. she did well overall but the comments were not necessary. Her odor did not smell fresh, it was a weird one. Prices are reasonable but it's just not my cup of tea.

I was very disappointed with my Schnauzer's haircut today. My groomer moved, and I have been looking for a new groomer that was experienced in a Schnauzer cut. This is NOT the place. Her skirt is completely gone now and it was a complete hack job. Her legs are uneven, and I am extremely disappointed. Even after talking to the groomer before hand and after he didn't seem to care. I will never be back.

Amazing! My parents have been taking their Golden Retriever's there for years. I recently adopted a puppy and now this is the only place we go for grooming! When we call, they know our dogs by name and they treat them like their own. Also, they are really great about grooming curly golden-doodles which is what I have! 100% recommend.

If your looking for a groomer that will treat you like your trash and your dog like road kill this is the place for you. It's sad that someone that owns a business grooming animals is allowed to treat animals the way they do. Even worse is it's unfortunate this happens when you can't see your animal. I'd highly recommend you beware of taking any animal you even marginally care about, I'd wouldn't even trust them with a stuffed animal.
It would be an extreme understatement to say that our dog is traumatized after the hellish visit to Legacy Pet Grooming or Legacy Grooming who ever they want to represent themselves as. Your loved pet would probably have a better time in a cage of rattle snakes then be groomed here. If you do attempt to take your dog to hell don't say you weren't warranted if you've read this review.

DO NOT GO HERE! Please read other bad reviews. Everyone is saying the same thing. This address: 5261 McKinney Ranch Pkwy Unit 200. Phone: 469-631-0929. Their name is 'Legacy Grooming', NOT Legacy Pet Grooming. They changed their name on yelp to hide HORRIFIC reviews. The owner/man is a psycho. I asked to leave my dog's collar/leash with her because I was dropping her off before work and my boyfriend was picking her up when she was done.
He yelled at me and said it wasn't his responsibility and THREW HER COLLAR AND LEASH ON THE GROUND and told me to pick it up. Many other people have talked about this man acting aggressively! It was 7am. It was dark. I was alone. There were 2 men in the back who had already taken my dog back to start grooming. After he threw her stuff, I said I wanted my dog back and that we were leaving.
They would not bring my dog back to me. I stormed through the front desk to the back and found her. She was already soaking wet because they had her in the water. And the bathtub was DISGUSTING. I grabbed her and ran out of there as the man continued to yell at me. I cried the whole way home. My clothes were soaking wet because my dog was wet. I don't know what they would have done to my dog if I had left her there.

This review is based solely on the customer service. The actual grooming was great which is why I've been a customer for several years. Basically the guy up front is extremely nasty and rude. A mistake on their behalf and all he had to offer was attitude and disrespect. That's all it takes for me to lose my business. Instead of owning up to the mistake when I had proof he made excuses. His customer service skills were terrible. He also proceeded to leave me a rude voicemail after I disconnected the call because he couldn't talk in a respectful manner.

As a business owner I completely understand how hard it can be to run a consistently smooth & quality operation. but Legacy Pet Grooming does just that. Ephraim (owner) and the other groomers have always been easy to work with, attentive, and pleasant. We trust our two Springer Spaniels with them and have never had a problem. Legacy Pet Grooming is a great local provider here in McKinney and my wife and I support them 100%. Be sure to give them a try!

Everyone here at Legacy Pet Grooming is so wonderful. They take great care with my little guy and I trust them 100%. Every groom has been just the way I wanted it. My little Paxton always comes home happy and feeling great. So glad to have found them and can't beat their location either. Highly recommend them.

I've been taking my two dogs (Yorkshire Terrier & Airedale) to Legacy Grooming for some time now and they always come out looking great! The customer service is excellent and the staff is always very courteous. They always take very good care of my dogs and the pricing is very reasonable. It's aways best to call and make an appointment as they are very busy, especially on weekends. They are the best dog groomers in McKinney! I've tried other shops, but nothing comes close to the quality of service.

Completely disrespectful and rude to their customers. I sat in their 10 minute parking spot for 5 minutes waiting to call to bring my dog in. The lady at the front desk husband comes charging out and yells at me asking me what I am doing there. I told him I was about to call to bring my dog in and he said I couldn't just sit there and that other customers were wanting to park there. meanwhile it's literally 7:45Am and no one else was there yet.
I asked if I could bring her in early then if it was a problem and as we were talking another customer pulled up so he said I had to wait so he could take care of them first. I waited until my appointment time and when I called they didn't even remember she was scheduled. yet we called the day before and made the appointment. then when I walked in I told his wife he was extremely rude to me and all she said was "well we didn't know why you were parked there" like why else would I be there? Meanwhile we've been customers to them for 4 years. not anymore.

I have 3 amazing rescue dogs. I called Legacy to get information. The man that answered the phone (didn't give his name but he had and accent) informed me that they don't take dogs over 10 years old and one of my babies is a very heatlhy senior girl. When I commented that I might not be comfortable splitting them up, he all but hung the phone up on me. Extremely Rude so I'm glad I found out before I took my most precious pups here.

Do not take your doodles here. They have zero experience with doodle. My pup has developed an ear infection only 2 times in his lifetime and both time it was soon after getting groomed here. First time we thought it could be something else and not related to grooming. We decided to give this place another try after 4 months (only because we didn't get any other appointments and he really needed a cut) and again. EAR INFECTION!
It cannot be a coincidence. Also the man there is super rude with both pets and people. Never going back here. The worst groomers ever! Edited to add. My dog was extremely anxious for couple of days after he was groomed here. He is usually very friendly and loves meeting new people and getting pets. But at this place he was just eager to leave and ran towards the door when I got there. It was very clear that he was mistreated

I called to schedule my dog a grooming appointment and the man who I spoke with was probably the most unprofessional person I have ever spoken to. He asked if I had the rabies record with me to bring and I said "I'm not sure if I have that record. I'll have to look" to which his response was "okay bye." I didn't respond because I was so shocked by his response.
He said "it's the law to have it. Bye." First of all, I never said that my dog didn't have the vaccine (he does), I said I would need to look if I have the RECORD. Secondly, for him to just not even give a professional explanation but instead to just tell me bye. Absolutely horrible customer service. If they treat their customers like this I'm concerned with how they treat their animals. We will be sure to never use their services.

The owner or manager of this salon is beyond rude. I went to pick up my dog after getting groomed and he screamed at me for not having a mask. I have a medical exemption and he told me I was disrespectful. I asked to be served outside, I stayed 6 feet away, I honored his request to only have one person in the lobby at one time. $83 x 6 times a year that they will never receive from me again. Why would I give you that much money if this is how I will be treated?

While I've been pleased with the groomers who work on Michael, the ownership, however, is not customer friendly. Very disappointing because I don't think it's too much to ask to be pleased with the grooming and enjoy good customer service. He is not a nice person. My suggestion to him is to stay behind the scenes and allow others to answer calls and engage with the customers. Therefore, I'm updating my rating to reflect the owner's poor customer service.

PLEASE PLEASE READ ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS! My baby boy came home terrified. It's been five days and he jumped when I raised my voice when calling my husband across the house. I hope and pray he gets back to his happy go lucky self. I I'll never leave him there again. I called to complain and spoke to Robert who was rude and didn't care. My babies eye was red and and it was weeping terribly. I feel so guilty that I let anyone do this to my baby boy. He's so terrified.

Holy moly, this is hands down the best groomer I've found in the area. My pup is the HAPPIEST he's ever been upon pick up. He looks perfect. The facility is clean, smells great, and you are greeted by literally every person in the room. I immediately felt comfortable here and knew my pup would be too. I absolutely feel like a jerk off because upon arriving home I realized I didn't tip nearly enough for their services.
I will definitely have to make this up on our next appointment. It's also important to note, I was lucky enough to get a same day appointment since I procrastinated booking this before the holidays. They only took 2 hours and my pup has zero anxiety and looks great. He's also got a sensitive eye from a previous surgery and they minded it very well. No pushy sales, just great informative specials and add-ons should you choose. I'm one happy fur mama. Thank you!
