Precious Furs Pet Resort is a home away from home for thousands of vacationing pets every year. We boast an amazing 42 runs for dog boarding, 2 cat and exotic pet boarding areas, 5 playgrounds for outdoor play and a top notch grooming salon. PFPR was purchased by Lynn back in 2006 when it was known as "Hospice Kennel". Since that time, Lynn and her fantastic team have grown it into an amazing family atmosphere where pets are thrilled to come for their vacations, spa days, and daycare. Services
Upstairs- This area is 3'X3' inside area with a door that opens to a 3'X15' pen in a glass sunroom. These are heated/air conditioned for our smaller friends who don't regulate their body temperature as well. Suite- 3-storey house in front of our bay windows with hideaway beds, litter, toys, and bowls.

We have been taking our dog (Buster) to Lynn for about 10 years now. Buster is blind and this causes him to be very anxious. Lynn and all of the staff at the kennel know how to handle his behaviors and we never worry when we leave him there. We drive about 40 minutes just to bring him to Precious Furs because we trust they are able to manage him when we are away. Buster participates in 1:1 playtime with a staff member while he is boarded and we really appreciate this added service. They also administer his eyedrops and this is not always an easy task.

Brought my cat to have her nails trimmed. The owner did the trim and she was extremely rough with her. And after she was done she had the nerve to tell my husband that her name which is tinkerbell was stupid. The only person that was stupid was her. I will not say exactly how I feel about this person. Because it would not be posted. But she clearly does not have any business taking care of animals. BEWARE of what goes on behind closed doors after you leave your pets

I'm a nervously Nelly when it comes to bringing my dog anywhere new. But after speaking with them about my concerns, and then seeing my dog come out after her 'spa' day, I can honestly say they are wonderful. My dog tends to be nervous with change, but she was completely fine and happy. Made me happy.

Moving to Western Massachusetts meant giving up our established pet boarding place for our guinea pig. I am so glad to have found Precious Furs as they were more than happy to board our guinea pig and care for her! They can board small animals such as guinea pigs, hamsters, etc as long as you bring their cage and supplies. The staff was super friendly and kind and our guinea pig didn't even seem affected at all by the boarding. A happy piggy is what we strive for and Precious Furs definitely kept her happy. I would definitely recommend them for pet boarding!

We have 9-year old rescue dog who is high strong, anxious and doesn't like to be touched. He has stayed at Precious Fur a few times over the last year and he seems to be doing better each time he stays. We always utilize the grooming services and he always looked nice and fresh. The prices are fair and it's always very clean inside. We recommend them all the time.

If I had a different dog, my review may be different. If you have an anxious animal, I would not recommend going here. It is very loud outside and inside. My dog who already does not like getting his nails trimmed was overly anxious as soon as we arrived. I have brought him other places and he has done well, stayed calm, happy and at ease. Here, my dog was making awful noises and trying to get away from them as they trimmed his nails. All that being said, it was clean and the staff was friendly- just not for my dog.

I have been using Precious Furs for years with my lab/border collie mix and now my Husky for both grooming and the occasional boarding. The dogs always come back clean and healthy and well taken care of. When I first boarded my lab/border collie mix when she was a puppy - they frequently emailed me status updates and sent photos of how well she was doing. Couldn't ask for a better place.
