Animal Rescue Fund Meet our cats and dogs Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays on the Mobile Adoption Van at the ARF Adoption Center during construction. We are reducing the growing number of homeless, feral and stray cats by using an effective trap/neuter/return strategy. Free spay/neuter surgeries are available in both East Hampton and Westhampton. ARF actively rescues cats and dogs, provides quality care and offers sanctuary until loving homes can be found.

With construction underway, this project will bring critical improvements to all of the spaces where ARF's animals live as well as the public spaces visited by our adopters and volunteers.
Services
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons actively rescues cats and dogs, provides quality care and offers sanctuary until loving homes can be found. ARF's work with animals, within our community and throughout the organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication. ARF's veterinary team ensures all animals for adoption are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for homes.
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider one of these worthy animals below. For one reason or another, these cats and dogs have been overlooked and we are hoping to bring some attention their way. All are deserving of a loving home. Combined with daily expenses of food, training, supplies, and cleaning, it costs nearly $500 a week to make our shelter a home for each cat and dog in our care.
VETERINARIAN VERIFICATION - If the potential adopters currently have other animals in the home, we must call the veterinarian to verify that the animal is altered and up-to-date on DA2PP & Rabies for a dog and FVRCP & Rabies for a cat. Why do we do this? We call the veterinarians for verification of vaccine history to ensure the animals are up to date.
Whether it's a dog, puppy, cat or kitten, adopting at ARF is an easy and rewarding experience. You'll find a range of personalities, ages and breeds. Once you complete an application online, one of our friendly, knowledgeable adoption coordinators will contact you. Visit our Mobile Adoption Van on site at the ARF Adoption Center on FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS between 11 AM and 4 PM.

Super pet placement center. I adopted a Chihuahua who was dumped off at shelter in Mississippi.

If i were a sheltered animal this is the only place I would want to be. The staff is amazing. The level of care and concern are second to none. This place should be the prototype for all shelters and rescues.

Got our two fur babies here. The workers here are so amazing and helped us throughout the entire process. They are more expensive than North Shore, but care for their adoptees better and include chipping, vaccines, and spaying/neutering all in the price. I recommend this place all the time to friends. You will too.

We have adopted two dogs from Arf. It's a professional and discerning adoption center. They care a great deal for the animals as well as matching them with the right families. We had to bring our older dog in to meet the pup and they observed their interaction. I feel very confident in highly recommending Arf of the Hamptons.

We were looking for a male dog as one of our beloved dogs had passed earlier in the year. Arf had so many wonderful dogs and I was nervous about being able to choose just one (necessary!) and the right one. Arf team member Diane helped us find Vic (aka Beaumont while at Arf), a Glorious Texas hurricane refugee. We brought our miniature Schnauzer to Arf so the family could meet Vic.

We fell in love and he bacame a member of our family in November. He is amazingly smart, Loves all dogs and people and has settled in beautifully. A friend gave us a DNA test for Christmas and we learned that Vic is 50% American Staffordshire Terrier (Pitt), Miniature Poodle, Chow Chow and the rest unknown. He is 100% Fabulous! Can't recommend Arf, Diane and the team at Arf enough!

This is such an amazing and caring shelter with staff that truly care for all of the animals well being. My boyfriend and I have been looking to adopt a dog friendly cat and on a recommendation from staff member Jenny, she mentioned "Brick". When we arrived at the shelter we were greeted by Jessica who was so sweet, knowledgeable, caring and looking out for our best interest!

She answered all our questions and answered honestly about which cats would fit our home and my dog's needs. Brick seemed perfect and we were able to spend tons of time with him before making the decision to take him home. Ever since he has been home with us, he's been an amazing addition and companion for my loveable pup Baxter and the rest of my family! I cannot thank everyone at ARF enough for rescuing this amazing cat and all the other work you do

A wonderful resource in our community. Friendly people and adorable animals have made every visit terrific. Most recently, my family adopted two kitties (a sister/brother combo), who were so irrisistible we had to have them both (Beautiful Russian Blues). The staff helped my wife, son and I, have a safe, happy adoption experience, and were available for follow-up concerns on the phone. I couldn't be happier with our new kitties, and the wonderful friends I made at ARF.

Thank you ARF for helping us find the perfect cat for our family! My 8 year old decided he wanted a kitty and I reached out prior to coming in to go over some details of what we were looking for (my son has special needs). The staff was so patient and accommodating and when we came in to meet the cats they already had several suggestions based on our discussion. We chose one that they recommended and we are so happy. Love ARF and can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic Rescue! They really know their pets. They are upfront about any concerns with their animals and really help you in finding the perfect pet. They allow you to spend as much time as needed to get to know any animals you are considering. We went with the intention of adopting a spaniel mix but wound up with a Chihuahua mix. After spending time with several animals, the Chihuahua picked us!

She is a wonderful addition to our family. We have rescued several animals from different places but will only go here for future pets. It is obvious from the volunteers and staff that they genuinely love all of the rescue animals and have their best interest at heart. It's worth the drive out. Thank you for all that you do. :
