In a world where positive reinforcement is the norm for training dogs, the staff here uses negative reinforcement. While staff was attempting to fit my 6 month old puppy for a collar, held puppy in the air by its neck, feet off the ground stating "it was the puppy's fault for struggling". Not pet friendly, don't understand the pets or customer needs, and watch out for owner's dog. This was addressed directly with the owner but she was more interested in not becoming involved.

Another great stop at The Feed Bag! Our Cane Corso was imported and has massive crate anxiety, but new CBD treats, although very expensive as far as "dog treats" worth every penny! One treat not even recommended per weight calms her down and she sleeps through the entire night in her crate stress free! GAME CHANGER!

I could not recommend this pet store more for pet parents. Trish was so helpful in providing many recommendations specific to the breed, age, and sex of my puppy. While there isn't the largest selection like at larger corporate pet stores there's such an attention to detail and quality here. You know your pet will love whatever you purchase here.
If they don't have it available ask and you may be able to pick it up another week from the store. In terms of covid, it's all safe. Limited number of people allowed inside. There's also the option to order and pick up outside. Plenty of options for people of all varying levels of covid safe.

Very knowledgable! Had an issue with my two labs and what I thought to be their great food. Blue Buffalo by the way and boy has it changed. No one at the other stores or online gave me this information. They just take the order. Not The Feedbag. So, I came in to start them on a raw diet but learned so much more. Changed brands of dry food to titrate them off the "poison" and they are starting to do much better. Based on this store's advice we will be starting on the raw in another month, but with so much more understanding. Started them on a Probiotic too. I appreciate the advice and never felt "sold." Its great when we can support the "mom & pops." You will be seeing us allot. Thank you!

VERY helpful staff @ this store. I talked a lot with Trish & she was super knowledgeable about products, and possible remedies for my kitties. I will definitely come back here again. I was also pleasantly surprised that the food wasn't outrageously priced for being more on the holistic side of pet food stores. I'm very impressed with this place. Unfortunately, I am only in Connecticut for another 5 weeks. Wish I could take this store & the staff with me!
