Pet Connections, Inc. is raising money to build a no-kill animal shelter in Old Lyme, with the goal of saving all healthy, treatable and rehabilitatable animals. You can support our project by making a donation. Since 1990, Pet Connections, Inc. has been a community leader in rescuing and placing abandoned and abused pets in responsible, loving homes.
To serve this goal we provide fostering, rehabilitation, veterinary care, adoption referrals, and lost-and-found assistance. This is a true community effort: our all-volunteer organization is funded only by private contributions, and our members offer their own homes to foster animals until they can be placed.

Services
Reduce the overpopulation of domestic animals through a fundamental educational program aimed at children. Instruct individuals that spaying and neutering can save them dollars by helping to prevent possible future medial and behavioral problems. A low-cost spay/neuter program that has helped subsidize the cost to hundreds of families who otherwise couldn't afford it.
Foster animals need a safe, loving place to stay until a family becomes available to provide a permanent home. All veterinary care will be paid by Pet Connections and administered by the care of Old Lyme Veterinary Clinic. Becoming a foster is fun for kids and is a great alternative for a family who may not want a full time pet.
Did you know that over three million cats and dogs are euthanized in the United States every year? Did you know that thousands more suffer from neglect and abuse, even in public shelters, because of underfunding, understaffing, and misunderstanding about the causes of pet overpopulation? For over twenty years, Pet Connections has worked tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and responsibly place abandoned and abused animals in loving homes up and down the Connecticut shore. We network with local veterinarians, shelters and other rescue groups to provide assistance to companion animals in need.
