I am so beyond disappointed in this place. I had called set up a boarding stay for my pup, had a lovely chat with a woman on the phone there. Was actually really excited for my dog to have an overnight stay there had booked him the silver package. Go to bring him morning of had such a hard time finding the place, pull up the doors are locked all you can hear is dogs barking and crying. Called over 5 times, beeped my car horn and no one appeared to even be there.
So i had to bring my dog with me to a hotel overnight and he had to stay in the room by himself while i attended a wedding. Beyond disappointed in this business. It looked incredibly lovely and promising online but i truly hope the dogs that were there, we're not left unsupervised. Do better the good dog spot.

I started taking my sweet girl Phoebe to The Good Dog Spot in Chicopee a few months ago and she absolutely loves going. She can tell when we are getting close and starts getting all excited as soon as we get off the highway. I can barely hold onto her as she pulls me into the building. The staff is trained well and is very fair. They will let me know when Phoebe has had a hard time listening but they do it without making me feel like she is being bad. Phoebe is a high energy large breed one year old and they really know how to handle her.
There is always someone in the rooms with the dogs while they play and there are cameras so I can check in on Phoebe and watch her play for a while. It makes me happy seeing her having fun with all the other dogs. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to give your pup a good day of exercise and socialization. Phoebe goes one day a week but I know that if I ever have to go back to the office a couple days a week, she would be in good hands.

The place is very clean and well taken care of. I have a rescue dog who has separation anxiety and is fearful of strangers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Anubis was a little afraid at first, but the staff were very patient with him and he even gained the confidence to play with the other dogs. They give detailed report cards of how he is progressing each time he goes for the day. I have also had Anubis stay there overnight once and they handled him very well and he had a lot of fun. Overall I highly recommend this place!

The good dog spot is great with my dog. I have a 3-year-old 95 lb pit/husky mix who is extremely anxious with strangers and grooming activities. They are so patient and understanding while grooming him and even allow walk-ins for a quick nail trim. The only small downside is that their appointments for a full groom are booked 2-3 months out, but they are well worth the wait if you have a dog who has not historically done so well with other groomers. Overall, they provide excellent customer service.

I have 2 dogs, 1 named Nation who has come here many times both for the Spots Tots program and daycare and 1 named Lulu who has come for nail care that she does not get from her usual groomer. Both are very shy and nervous dogs. Lulu has received excellent care from the grooming services staff while doing her nails. Nation received incredible care from the Spots Tots program!
He came in with little experience being away from home and seeing new things, but the Spots Tots program was perfect at introducing him to other dogs, items, and environments and they worked with him personally to try and help him get over his fears of people. In daycare, Nation gets good care and I know that I can trust the Good Dog Spot to watch over him while I am at work and keep him safe.
It would be nice if he were able to receive more one-on-one interactions or be kept in a smaller group and moved to a bigger group later on, but here is where he receives the best care I have seen from any of the daycares we have tried out (and there have been many). I also take comfort in knowing that I can watch him on the camera while he is at the Good Dog Spot throughout the day to check in on how he is doing and being handled.
He has also frequented the Good Dog Spot in Northampton since they tend to have a slightly smaller group of dogs throughout the day, which has helped with his nerves as well. A final touch is that I can add on services easily like a special treat during the dog's lunchtime or a nail trip or bath since they have all of those services available. They also have digital report cards that you receive after each visit on your owner's portal where you learn the highs and lows of the day from the workers who spent all day with them.
That is a service not often utilized by other doggy daycare facilities. The bottom line is that the Good Dog Spot is the ultimate doggy destination for daycare in a safe, happy, clean environment.

My dog, Abe, has been attending daycare at The Good Dog Spot for about 6 months now and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of care he receives there. Everyone is so friendly and Abe always gets so excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot! I also appreciate the availability of a web cam so that I can check in and watch him play throughout the day. The end of day report cards are also great, I always know what he's up to when he's there!

My girl (on the right) loves it here. She attends daycare once weekly with several of her Canine best friends. In addition to helping physically tire her out, she also partakes in the Trick of the Month club to help work her mind. She also gets groomed monthly to help us manage her undercoat. She is always excited to arrive and see all her friends. She truly loves the staff and they do a great job making you feel like part of the family. I recommend them to anyone who asks.

Devastated is all I can think of. I have used them several times in the past without any issues, today a trim of my puppy ended up with my Golden looking like a lab. I am so besides myself. I called them and Samantha said it was a trim, several inches of hair is not a trim, a trim is 1/2 an inch. They took all of her hair and now she is shaking and scared. Completely disappointed with their it is only hair attitude and how they disregarded what we wanted. Never, ever again, do not take your pet here.

My dogs love it here! They both go to daycare a few times a week and have been doing so since they opened! Everyone is friendly and professional. They have been life savers since Covid started and have been there when needed the most. I feel comfortable when I walk in because the lobby is so clean, and everyone is wearing masks.

If you don't want to get Covid, don't go in there! I brought my dog there for the first time and both the receptionist and owner did not have their masks on! They put them on when I asked them to do so but when they are breathing without masks, the aerosols have filled the air. I asked them if they would keep their masks on all the time and when they didn't answer, I walked out. You decide.

Our puppy Lester LOVES the Good Dog Spot! Lester is a graduate of the Spot's Tots Puppy Program and he now goes to daycare 1x week. He has also boarded there. It's so nice to know we have a safe, loving place to board him that he enjoys. I love the daily report cards that give you a glimpse of what he did during the day and things we need to work on with him.
I highly recommend Spots Tots - Sandra, the head of the program, is amazing. Lester is a very cautious puppy until he gets comfortable and his confidence has definitely grown since being at Dog Spot.

I brought my cat in to be groomed recently, and they did a fine job. I asked that he be given a lion cut, and it's even and neat. He smelled clean and looks so much better. However, when I came to pick him up I could hear him *screaming* from the parking lot. When I got inside he was alone, in a cage with a towel draped over it, and a box fan attached to one side.
This is how they 'dried' him, and he was *terrified*. Clearly very very afraid, very vocal about it, but no one was with him. The groomers are good, if you need someone who does cats--a unicorn in the Valley--they're A+, but If I come back it won't include a bath. I appreciate a clean cat, but if drying him means they do it in a dark kennel under a towel with a noisy box fan, and no one else in the room, I'll pass. Five stars to the actual groomers, two stars to the entire experience. Three seems fair.

Kathy and Kirsten always do an amazing job grooming my fluffy labradoodle and husky-poo. They are kind, caring and very friendly. I look forward to seeing them whenever I bring in my pups! All the other staff is phenomenal; always professional, responsible, and have bailed us out on numerous occasions when we forgot to schedule boarding or day care. My dogs come home tired and happy!

PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! I took my dog here a few weeks ago for a self wash and they were so unprofessional and dirty there was still hair in the tub from another dog but I took the hair out and proceeded and thought nothing of it then when I went to brush my dog I had to clean hair out of the brush a few minutes later me and my friend had to kill a flea that was on the outside of the tub which I thought was strange because my dog didn't have fleas so I took him out of the tub a few weeks go by and I notice my dog itching quite a bit so I examined his back and realized he had fleas so I tried calling them to make them aware of this situation and hopefully get some help getting rid of the fleas since their tub was most likely where he got them I keep my dog in a contained area or in my house but I was told that they would have someone call me back.no return phone call.so I called back now they were short staffed and said I will have someone call you back.no call back so I call again and finally I talk to the owner who continues to deny that there was a problem with the tub and he said "let me do some leg work on my end and I'll call you back" now a week later (today) I call back and speak with the owner again and he tells me he won't even give me a free flee wash because I waited too long to call and that he wasn't going to do anything for me this place is horrible and gave my dog fleas please don't bring your dog here they have dirty tubs and even worse attitudes

Sooooo not happy! I brought my dog to The Good Dog Spot for socialization with other puppies, and find out they spent a good chunk of the time in kennels alone! My whole point of sending him was to get him used other dogs. The program I signed him up for was a puppy play group- I was told it would be a staffed room with 4 puppies playing and 2 calm older dogs.
When I got there they were in kennels and the staff was hanging out on computers in their office. I told them before I signed him up that he didn't like kennels due to his history and was told only the full day dogs will go in them for nap time. What a crock of crap! When I complained about this, the staff was very rude! Needless to say we won't go back!

I want to give a shout out to Kathy at the Good Dog Spot Northampton location. I started having my dog groomed at the Chicopee location by Kathy. When the new location in Northampton opened Kathy went to that location Because of the excellent service I received from Kathy I followed her there. The Chicopee location is 10 minutes from my home and the Northampton location is almost 30 minutes from my home.
I have had nothing but great experiences and my dog LOVES to go there. For this reason there was no question in my mind to drive the extra distance. My dog is a sweet boy but he is also an impulsive Shih Tzu. Not the easiest breed to groom. If you are looking for a groomer who does a great job and treats your dog like they were her own ask for Kathy at The Good Dog Spot.

Groomer, Kathy Jarvis, at the Northampton location, is beyond amazing. She grooms my Afghan Hound, which is a fete in itself, and does a job that is exceptional. Even friends of mine, who show their dogs, ask who grooms my Zeuf. I highly recommend Jathy as well as boarding your dog at the Good Dog Spot. Exceptional people with affordable pricing!

This is a new doggy daycare in Northampton and I LOVE them. My dog has been going there since they opened and he never even looks back once he gets back in there, he loves everyone and loves going to stay when we go away. A few things I love most: I can have my pup groomed before I pick him up, they teach him manners like sitting before going into a new room or the play area, they always send him home with some adorable puppy artwork when he stays there a few days, and he always comes home happy and tired. We've moved a lot and have used a lot of doggy daycares but this one is top notch.
My first impression was that they may be a little snooty with the initial dog behavior rating system (WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY CRAZY DOG ISN'T PERFECT --) but that's far from the case and we love them.
