Fantastic campsite, fantastic people and can't wait to return. Arrived on the off chance after we had problems with my car at 11pm at night and couldn't make the whole journey to my family and everyone was so accommodating even though we hadn't booked. They let us pitch up and then even had someone to help look over the car and fix it for us! They was always making sure everyone was happy and catered for with wood for fire, they let me move a bench for my mum to sit on when she came for a birthday bbq, they lent us a proper bbq, asking if needed anything from the shop when they went, helping to move camping stuff if wanted to move area, kids loved the animals and the ride in the golf buggy they did for them, it was fab! Loved this place, was chilled and relaxed a little like wild camping but with the added essentials of toilets and showers.
Can't wait to go back and see everyone very soon. Thank you to all the staff, you was amazing and nothing was too much, you all went out of your way to help us and we are so glad to have met you.

First of all, we were "greeted" by an incredibly rude man telling us we were late arriving at around 7:30pm, when our booking said to arrive by 9:30pm - even if we had been late, that rudeness would have still been uncalled for! secondly, the campsite appeared very disorganised, the man didn't even know if we had paid and how much we owed, and would only take cash. additionally, the toilets were dingy, there wasn't even any light! also the only water was freezing and there were no means of drying your hands. it is a very wet campsite too, and very noisy at night and in the morning - noisy neighbours and noisy dogs. we did not attempt to use the other facilities given the awful experience with the toilets. also if there is "free wifi", it was not accessible where we were told to camp. overall, if you are looking for the absolute basics, it's okay, but equally, wouldn't you rather not put up with the rude service provided and some means of seeing when you use the toilets?

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we were visiting family and then moving onto Wales. It is an idealic location very quiet surround by woodland and plenty of space to pitch your caravan or tent. It seem to be dog friendly. The only down fall was the shower facilities, they definately need a revamp and rethink. If they could improve the shower facilities it would be the perfect place to stay and would become a 5 star.
We did use our tiny sink and toilet area to wash in our caravan so we managed. Because it was such an idealic area to stay we would go back and make the best we can for washing. Still would recommend for a peaceful stay and nights sleep .

Visited the last weekend in September 2020 with 2 young boys who absolutely loved the woodland and exploring and enjoyed collecting twigs and wood for our open campfire. We camped in our tent; found the toilets, shower and washing-up facilities very clean and well maintained. There was a lovely welcoming feel to it and was the laid back retreat we were looking for. We will be back.

What a fantastic few days we had, warm friendly welcome, staff awesome, great facilities, so peaceful and tranquil, beautiful stunning views and exploring of the south downs within walking distance, even some goats to keep you company, campfires allowed. Great location. Recommending to all friends Definitely coming back

The first night wasn't too bad, when there were perhaps 15 tents on the site; however, on the second night that had grown to about 50 tents - this was just too much for the available facilities and staff to manage. There are just two showers (1 ladies and 1 gents) and, one toilet block (1 ladies, 2 gents cubicles and 2 urinals). This is just not enough when more than 200 people are on site, especially when social distancing is considered and, there was just one staff member to clean them and attend to everything on site.
The site also has poor water pressure, meaning the taps often on trickle and the water heater provides no hot water at all. The rules of the site are also ambiguous - their listing on pitchup.com says 10pm-8am quiet hours and no open fires, but these are either incorrect or impossible to enforce due to the lack of staff, as it was still noisy until the early hours and the vast majority of people were having fires.
You are also expected to remove your own rubbish from the site due to Covid-19, but I fail to see how a properly managed refuse and recycling solution would increase infection - it might stop more unscrupulous campers leaving bags of rubbish around the site when they leave though! This site has the potential to quite pleasant, but it is over stretching what the facilities and staff can manage to its detriment.

We have taken a total of five classes with Missy Kielbasa with both of our dogs. As a veteran teacher of 30 years, I know how hard it is to make every class fresh and a useful learning experience. Over the years, I continue to be impressed with Missy's enthusiasm for what she does. She just loves teaching people about dog behavior, and it shows in every class. Also, she is incredibly helpful with any questions one might have about a dog.
She asks questions, makes a thoughtful suggestion, and then follows up the next week with a "how did that work out?" Other classes we have tried left us feeling unsatisfied as the trainers didn't have the level of commitment and enthusiasm that a good teacher needs. Another thing is that, during class, Missy will notice something I am doing and bring it to my attention.
It is amazing what a difference changing a simple behavior on the owner's part can make in the dog's. I have no hesitation in recommending Missy for any class, from puppy kindergarten to advanced training.

Great peaceful location. Pleasant owners, not over crowded, however, the toilet cabin was very disappointing. It was a bit messy and dirty and the shower did not work properly. Had to wash in the sink for the three days I was there. They do not advertise the shower, I'm guessing because of the fault. There are lots of stinging nettles and the whole place is just a bit overgrown and untidy. But, overall, it was a nice holiday and there were beautiful sunsets and sunrises and nice walks and paths.
