For $250 it's definitely NOT worth it! We couldn't get in anywhere but here. Unfortunately now we know why she wasn't booked for weeks like the other groomers in the area were. We were not told in advance that she charges double what everyone else charges. When she told me the cost I said, seriously? She said yes, we are like a high end salon and you get what you pay for.
I mean, the cut was fine and we are happy with it but by no means, no happier than we have been in the past with other groomers. The place isn't exactly a high end salon. The place is in a run down strip mall and offers nothing extra except for empty pockets!

STAY AWAY! Please do not book your pets grooming here unless you are made aware of how much you will be charged. I own a 9yr old Sheltie and I was charged $200! In all the years I have owned Shelties and lived in this city, I have never been charged more than $100. It's not like the groom was anything special or different than any other time. Also, I was never made aware of the rates prior to dropping her off.
I will take responsibility for not asking, but any groomer who charges $200 should know that they are priced much higher than anyone else and notifying a new customer of their rates should be included in the booking. I asked for a refund on a portion of what was charged and the answer was a definite NO. I will never return and I feel very upset and "ripped off"! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I strongly recommend choosing one of the many other establishments in the Mt. Pleasant area for you animal grooming needs. I wanted to get my Golden Retriever's (Luna) nails cut, and figured I would call around to see if I needed an appointment. The two other places I called were all booked up, while Pampered Paws was totally open. (Should have been the 1st red flag) The woman, (Leslie) seemed pleasant enough.
After telling me that it would cost $28 to cut her nails, she brought me into the grooming area along with Luna (2nd red flag), where I had to basically assist her with the job at hand. I had asked her if it would be possible to cut a couple of balled up fur areas behind her ears. I had to hold her ears while she did this. (3rd red flag) Leslie was tremendously aggressive while cutting Lunas' nails, causing her to yelp repeatedly, which she blamed on the fact that her nails were "too long".
I know for a fact that it will only hurt the animal if you cut the nail too short. She also attempted to yank her right leg underneath her stomach to cut those nails, apparently not understanding that animal limbs are not meant to bend that way. (4th, 5th, 6th.etc. red flags) Leslie did not clean the fur from the paw, or smooth out the nails that she so carelessly just chopped.
The icing on the cake was the fact the she charged me an extra $10 for the 20 second trim behind the ears that she performed. I greatly urge people in the Mt. Pleasant area to choose a different groomer for their loved animals. If there are no appointments available at another location.wait! If she treated Luna this way while I was standing right there, I can only imagine how she must treat them behind closed doors.

Coco and Cinnamon are my 2 little poodles. We have been with Leslie most of their lives. They are now 16. They always look perfect when I arrive and I know that I can rely on Leslie to have them looking their best. We were originally referred by someone who had worked at Pampered Paws and it turned out to be just what we needed. So glad it is open again.we think grooming is an essential service!

I have a VERY fluffy husky, and I have gotten her groomed several times with other groomers since I've gotten her. Since I just moved to this area I asked my vet (South Pine Animal Hospital) which groomer they recommend. They told me about Pampered Paws. Pampered Paws did such an AMAZING job! Lacey (my husky) is normally a very beautiful dog, but I have NEVER seen her look sooooo good! Furthermore, they have GREAT prices! I highly recommend them! Thank you so much Pampered Paws!
