The Ann Arbor Dog Training Club was formed in 1967 and has been teaching people to train their dogs ever since. AADTC's experienced instructors offer a wide variety of classes including puppy socialization, household manners, competition obedience, agility, tracking, flyball, and rally. AADTC also offers an AKC sanctioned obedience/rally trial weekend in October and three weekends of AKC sanctioned agility trials April, May, July and September. Throughout the year we occasionally offer a variety of dog-related seminars.

I took my untrained adult dog for a basic course. She was a "new to us" dog, and this course helped both me and the dog. The trainers were amazing. There were 3-4 of them in the room at all times, watching the group of us. It was a huge confidence builder for me and my dog. The location and time were not great for me, but now that I have been through a course, I would travel twice as far for a midnight course with any of the trainers I worked with.
I am a novice, and soft touch when it comes to my dog, and I have learned so much about better training, and the trainers did it without condescending to me or ever making me feel stupid. They are as good with the humans as they are with the dogs!

We LOVE coming to training here. They have a large staff of very knowledgeable trainers who are very helpful and patient with me, an inexperienced puppy owner and my (sometimes) stubborn, loud-mouthed Great Dane puppy. He has come such a long way since we began the puppy kindergarten class, and I can't wait to come here for the STAR puppy class and more!

The trainers are helpful and supportive. All the puppies in puppy orientation class love the trainers. In the final analysis it is us, the dog owners, who are being trained to train our dogs. The training tips and suggestions given to us have made a huge difference in our relationship with our new family member. Also - Puppy Playtime is great fun to watch.
