I brought my two dogs in for daycare while I went to my Uncal's funeral. After having to leave early so I could pick my dogs up by six I hit traffic and arrived at 6:05. I sent the text message to be let in and didn't receive a response and no one was answering the phone. I tried calling the text number and finally got ahold of someone who told me I could not have my dogs.
I tried explaining how I came from a funeral and was only five minutes late but they didn't care and would not let me have my dogs. I can not understand how someone could be so heartless and refuse to give someone their dogs back for being 5 minutes late. I was already grieving the loss of a family member and now I couldn't even turn to me dogs for comfort. I will never return here and will make sure to let everyone know about the horrible treatment I received from the place.

When I spoke with Wendy, she went over the luxurious amenities they would offer my puppy. Upon arrival, I did bring my puppy to the front door, which was the wrong entrance. There was a black cat that attacked my puppy, causing her to yelp. I found the correct entrance and was greeted outside the door. They required me to remove her collar and harness, which I understand is their policy but it would have been nice to have it "checked" for when I picked her up. because I did take a different car and ended up leaving her collar behind.
I also wasn't able to leave her with a small baby blanket and her fav plush toy, which would have given her a sense of home. My puppy was there for 2 nights. A text or email update would have been a nice touch. I paid extra for puppy play time. I asked 2 different times what her play sessions would look like and it was very brief "she will get 2 separate play sessions a day." Okay but for how long. around what times? Are staff members also engaging with the group dog play?
When we picked Penny up and brought her home, I was hoping she would be sleepy and content from playing so hard. She was a big ball of crazy energy. And not just -- excited to be home energy. She gets nippy and jumpy if she doesn't get exercise and she was an absolute menace. Makes me wonder how much crate time she actually had. but I'll never know. We paid a pretty penny for this experience and I feel like it was overpriced. They have a nice setup but need to focus more on the comfort of the fur parents too.

I had some charges I was not aware of when I picked my dog up and ended up paying double what I expected. I spoke with the manager who then alerted the owner and she called and spoke with me. She was very professional and polite and let me know they updated their confirmation email to include the nightly lodging fee that I was not aware of, and they will now have customers initial when they drop their dogs off so that there are no surprise charges. I will board with them again in the future. I have no doubt they take good care of our loved ones here and I appreciated the follow up when they found out I was upset.

Disappointed to see this place hasn't changed. Playtimes are not the amount of minutes you are charged for. Some staff truly do care about animals, but when there are over 50-100 dogs, that care gets stretched thin or burnt out. The most basic package is keeping your dogs in a crate, no play times, only food, water, and the sound of 100 other dogs being kept in the same condition. Cats left alone, no time to walk out of their cage.
The owner is proud to be the cheapest boarding facility in the area that had air conditioning, emphasis on the cheap. Don't be tricked into the sales packages and add ons, special events, or even the doggy day care. no one should have to pay money to have their pets treated like this.

We have taken our dogs to Pet Ritz for over 25 years. We have perceived a decline in service over the last 5 years. Just picked my 2 dogs up Saturday only to find that COINCIDENTALLY the little ones heart medication ran out THE MORNING we picked them up. (Should have had about 2 weeks left at that point). To top things off I spoke to the manager on the phone just now about the situation, she spent the whole time on the phone basically defending their actions, as if I didn't know what I, their 25 year customer, was talking about.
I actually maintained my cool so I do not believe her response was merited (frankly not merited by any professional providing a service I pay for) but she hung up on me! Will not be returning to Pet Ritz, an ironic name. Wanted to put ZERO stars but Yelp wouldn't let me post without at least 1

I would never recommend this place. I went in to pick up my dog from daycare and the receptionist told me about this great deal they were having - $100 per month for unlimited outside visits. She said the dogs would be outside playing all day. I signed up and dropped off my dog. I went to pick him up around 2:30 that day. There was no one outside - the dogs were locked in cages in a cold, dark barn.
There were no employees outside so I went to the office. It was locked with no one inside. I finally found a maintenance guy and he had no idea what was going on. He called the owner who lived in the house next door. It took her 15 minutes to come over. She said they locked the dogs up from 12-4 or they would get cranky. I told her I wanted my dog - Now!
I never would have let my dog stay there if I had known he was going to be locked up in a cold, dark barn for 4 hours. They don't care about the dogs, they just want the money!

My Great Dane was very happy but at 6 months old it cost over $600 for 12 days and I wasn't allowed to see him or show him to my close friends or family.(I live out of state and he was imported from Vienna). I was in town to assist caring for my Grandma on Hospice and when she passed I really wanted to see my dog, the staff kept telling me no it was forbidden but a manager would call and let me know if they would allow me to see him since my grandma had died.
She never did and when I finally got a hold of her she said no. "There's no place for me to see him." He was very well taken care of, just left a bad taste in my mouth and there were added fees not discussed.

This is a wonderful pet boarding center. We have used Per Ritz a few times for their overnight boarding for our Pekingese. We like that they offer packages or al la carte services. We usually just add on a playtime or two. They provide bedding and food if you don't bring your own. You can even go as luxurious as to have your pet tucked in and read a bedtime story! Romeo loves going to Pet Ritz.
Their grounds are very clean and they are very straightforward with pricing, pick up times, and services. We will continue to use them for our pet sitting services in the future.

I love Pet Ritz. The moment you pull into the property, you feel good about the place. It is so hard to leave my "children", but the staff at Pet Ritz are genuine pet lovers and take excellent care of your babies. There are plenty of options you can add on to give your kids the ultimate vacation, or stick with the basic lodging and you will still rest assured they are staying in a nice, clean, friendly facility. I would definitely recommend it.

Pet-Ritz is the best boarding facility I have found. My two dogs have stayed there for short weekend trips and longers stays as well for the past three years. They have had great experiences with their staff, and I highly recommend them for your pets. My dogs are never uneasy when I drop them off and are very happy when I pick them up. Their grooming facility is also excellent. It is definitely a 5-star vacation resort for my dogs, which makes my vacation that much more enjoyable knowing I don't have to worry about them.

I've been boarding my two girls here for almost 6 years and highly recommend it! The owners live on site and regularly man the front desk. After so many visits they have gotten to know my dogs by name and really care. Price is a bit up there, but if you want to feel confident that your dogs are being cared for then isn't it worth it?
