My passion is to keep dogs in their homes through training and behavior modification. Plus facilitating an understanding between canine and human. Dog behavior starts with balanced leadership. Every group needs a leader. Families need parents to be guides, classrooms need teachers, and companies need bosses.
Anxiety in dogs can surface in different ways. Some will cower from their fear. Some dogs will bark because they have learned it will keep many of the things they fear out of their bubble. Some will bark because they are not confident in the situation. Others will bark and snap leading people to think they are aggressive.
I offer dog training in your home or virtually via video chat training. My style of training is to train you how to train your dog. All training is individualized using a positive and practical method. As a dog behaviorist I look at the whole picture to help you train your dog. Ultimately reaching a balanced relationship with your dog through clear communication.
Oftentimes, dogs are our first babies and are treated as such. However when a human baby arrives the fur baby can feel stressed and left out. The earlier you start to prepare your dog as well as yourself, the smoother things will go. It's not just as simple as bringing home a blanket that smells like the baby and all will be perfect.

So happy I found Gina, she is really the Dog Authority. She was such an amazing help to me and my dogs! I had so many questions and I needed help. Gina was great in person and also virtually, I was able to get great advice, encouragement and reassurance!

We met Gina the dog whisperer first time in early 2020 to help train our 8 weeks old pup Oscar. It was more so a training for us . Oscar is my husband's first dog ever and I've always rescued so never brought home a pup this young. Gina was very patient with all our questions and she always has simple solutions to what are perceived as complex issues!

She suggested simple bonding exercises for yogesh and oscar, and they are now inseparable. Yogesh has become a dog person, so much so that he rescued another older boxer with me. Gina also guides with nutritional information. Oscar has many allergies and Gina always has awesome natural remedies. If you have a pup, an older pup, senior. definitely schedule time with Gina. She will change your perspective!

Gina is an extremely caring and personable dog trainer. She truly understands dogs and does a great job of teaching you how to read their cues. I rescued my 5 year old pit mix at the beginning of December and after only two sessions with Gina, he has made tremendous progress with responding to the basic commands and becoming comfortable around strangers.

She also suggested several calming herbs and they have exponentially decreased Ralph's separation anxiety and allowed him to do great while transitioning to living in my dorm with me. Using what Gina has taught us has made Ralph more trusting, loving, happy, and healthy.

Gina is a genius! We adopted a new puppy and my hands/arms looked like I could have been an extra for the "walking dead". Gina came to our house and it was truly a miracle for us and our new puppy. In just one session she had our puppy sitting, laying down, crawling and we had a plan for mouthing, potty training and nutrition and it all works! It was the best money I can recall spending and an amazing value for all the knowledge and care she gave us, a total holistic approach for sure.

She is truly an expert at reading our puppy and customize her technique for both the owner and the puppy so you can actually work your plan. I had nightmares, I thought I was going to have to send our puppy to boot camp. Our puppy was totally not buying the dog whisper routine I was selling him and it was making him very frustrated and increasing his aggression. Now I have dreams of an agility dog champion thanks to Gina.

"We were at wits end"! My wife adopted a half Bernese Mountain Dog & Great Pyrenees puppy. After brining Lola home, I decided to train her myself. I purchased videos ect. and for three weeks I tried to train her. Instead of getting better, it got worse and we got more frustrated. We decided to try a professional trainer and if that did not work, find her a new home.

I went on-line and found the Dog Authority and Gina. She came to our house and took the time to discuss our concern's and training goals. After the first session we noticed a big difference in Lola. Gina is amazing, she takes the time to work with you and your pet and is always available to answer questions. We are on our third session and things are getting better and better. If you have a pet and want the best in a trainer, contact Gina and you will be amazed.

Would highly recommend Gina as a dog trainer. I was very impressed with how personable she is and that that she comes right to your home so she can see your dog in its environment and work with the people in the house as much as the pooch. Gina continues to provide phone/email support after the sessions have been completed. She has so many great ideas! Great value and great results!

Gina Adepoju is a dog whisperer in the most complete way you could imagine! When our third child was just a few months old, we decided to get a puppy. Insane right? Not according to Gina! She came in and our dog, Anni, transformed before our eyes. She gave us ways as a family of five (excluding the baby at the time) that we could handle the puppy and give her easy commands to follow.

She taught us to help Anni expend her energy in positive ways and grow up with our kids in a non-aggressive way. We have been able to train her with exercises Gina has shown us. We can call Gina at a moments notice if we have questions or concerns about Anni and her behavior. We always feel comfortable to contact her to get help. Gina has been helpful in taking Anni out in public and how to handle visitors in our home. I never want Anni to get fully trained unless she can be a helper for Gina to train other dogs!

We adopted a English Springer Spaniel / Boarder Collie mix puppy at the beginning of the year who was 2 months old. He is a great family dog, but despises the Vet and other dogs. We started training with Gina about a month ago and she has helped greatly to improve his confidence levels. He's able to play with the other dogs in our class at the dog park and is warming up to the vet. Gina does an excellent job on reading the dog body language and letting me know what to expect. We look forward to continued work with her.
