Hello! I brought my cat here for her very first vet visit yesterday and I was very pleased with the experience I had. Dr. Arnold was really great with my nervous kitty who was hiding behind the computer, lol. He was able to get her out and complete her exam with a lot of great information. Will be back with my other cat soon. : thank you!

Dr. Nix and Kala and the entire staff are such amazing people. They care about our pets and they are motivated by caretaking. They helped me and my family out so much with my cat, Hamilton. He had a urethral obstruction and complications afterward, and they performed services at a very affordable cost and did so with amazing care. Don't take your pet anywhere else, Windermere Animal Hospital is the best!

I recently had a very sick kitty. Dr Nix. and the rest of the staff (Kala) treated her and me with great compassion, patience and knowledge. Dr Nix gave us several options to treat Pumpkin and spent a lot of time explaining the options. Unfortunately Pumpkin crossed the rainbow Bridge. Each and every staff member including Dr. Nix, wrote a note and signed the sympathy card they sent us. They all helped us through a very difficult time. I have had pets my entire life and have never experienced such knowledge and compassion from all the staff.

Been going there for many years but not anymore. Supposedly they have a new grooming charge (which she said has been in placed but never enforced) for $56 stool examination with a $9 fee sample, which they were unable to get a sample. It is now required for grooming. So they were unable to do the stool exam but still groomed my dog and charged me. If it is required, why did they go forth with the bath. It is just their way to make extra money for overpriced services.

I am adding to my wife's review of our recent experience with our dog. We dropped him, he's a 3.5 year old golden doodle, at their groomer for a fluff and buff. He's a rescue and cannot be crated as he freaks out and tries to chew his way out of a metal crate. It destroys his teeth. They knew this as we'd had him groomed there many times previously.

My wife dropped him there first thing and told 2 people that he cannot be crated. It's always a condition for anywhere we take him -vet or groomer. And they acknowledged and agreed he would not be crated. I picked him up and didn't see him in their open pens. I asked where he was and said he should not be crated. I was told by 2 people that it's okay, he's in a big crate.

So clearly their decision wasn't a mistake. They made the conscious decision to crate him. So now he can't eat kibble or eat his favorite treats. These people lied to us and their lies resulted in our dog being harmed. I would never take an animal to be treated or groomed at Windermere.

This business is under new ownership and has changed dramatically. Due to new policies, our dog's most recent grooming appointment cost $210 and was a nightmare for our dog. Our dog is a good natured rescue who is terrified of crates. I always remind the staff at drop off that he can't be crated. And, until this last visit, he wasn't. During check in for the most recent appointment, I told 2 staff members that our dog can't be crated.

They pointed to an open area and said he would be kept there. When we picked up the dog, we learned the staff had crated him for hours. This was basically torture for the dog. He must have hurt his mouth trying to get out of the crate because he hasn't been able to eat kibble or hard treats since this appointment. You can't trust a business that lies to you about how they intend to care for your pet.

I have Eddy groomed here many times. And have had good results. Not today! Obviously they are having trouble keeping groomers. But this is ridiculous!

I had an emergency on the day before Christmas. No other clinics would see my pet though they adjusted their schedule to get him in. The vet even called me during the holiday to let me know he was doing ok.

My cat had a swollen side of his face with a scratch and clearly an infection. I called Windermere and was able to get in the same day. The women at the front desk were so helpful, friendly, and empathetic. Everyone with whom I dealt was great-the tech, the doctor-everyone. They took care of my cat and gave me a few options for the medication. It was a great experience. They were quick, communicative, and professional without being stodgy. Definitely recommend them. And, my cat is doing well!

My son and daughter-in-law have been taking their dog Zoey to Windermere since she was a puppy. We recently had an emergency with our senior dog, last Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I called several places, but Windermere was able to see our dog. They were thorough and explained what was wrong with our dog. They also gave the facts and left it up to us to make the decision of what action to take with our dog.

No pressure sales. They were able to get our dog in yesterday for dental cleaning. Again, they gave us the facts on our dog's situation. Windermere is affordable and fair. We are customers for life! I highly recommend

Never again. I gave myself time to calm down from the emotions I felt so I could write a clear headed review. A couple months ago I had my cat sedated and groomed. We had agreed on a price. No problem. When I arrived I had to wait some time as the patron before me had unexpected charges on her bill. When I picked up my cat. They gave me the total with was $75 higher.

I got the itemized bill and asked what the two randome charges were? One was for processing and the other for a vet visit! I never talked to a vet. They advised the doctor had to look at him. I asked do I get a report? How is he? They said no report just a visual inspection. I never agreed to this charge. I just paid it and left. My cat was wet, petrified and smelled horrible. I will never go back there for anything.

I took my pet for teeth cleaning and they did bloodwork on him. Then they said something was wrong with the results and I had to send a sample to a lab for more "sophisticated" testing. They said I would have results that evening or the next morning. At noon, I hadn't heard so I called them. They hadn't even reviewed the results yet even though they had arrived.

I had been worried about what was wrong with my dog and should have been notified soon after they received the results. Then, they told me his bloodwork was fine. I began asking questions to try to learn why the second bloodwork was necessary to the tune of $195.00 when the report from the lab was that he was fine. The vet eventually told me that the issue had either been in the original blood draw or incorrect spinning in the testing itself or that they had mishandled the first sample.

Later they called for payment and I challenged it based on the vet having admitted that the first result was due to error on their part. The staff member said she'd talk to the vet and get back to me. I asked that she provide me an explanation if I had misunderstood the vet. When she called back she didn't give me a real explanation. She merely said that they had to pay for the lab test and that I had consented to it, so I had to pay.

I did agree to send a sample to the lab. Of course I did. They said they couldn't do his surgery without it. Interestingly, they failed to tell me that the outcome from the blood test in their own office could be the result of their inaccurate work. Rather, the vet only named things that could be wrong with my dog. Needless to say, I will be going elsewhere to have my dog's surgery.

By far, the most professional, knowledgeable, caring vet and staff we have in the Indy area! We have had some very traumatic experiences with our anxiety ADHD pup at our previous vets and the staff at Windermere went above and beyond to pair with our pup, make them reinforcing, take our needs into consideration, and establish a good rapport with him. We are very pleased with them and are excited to have a reliable vet that would never harm our precious, somewhat spoiled, fur baby :

We felt so welcomed and informed at Windermere. All the staff were so friendly to my cats and kids even when the cats were completely freaked out. One of my cats was particularly out of sorts and Dr. Kessler and her assistant handled him with gentleness and understanding. They also suggested a plan for next year that will make it easier in all parties. I'm so grateful this is our vet home!

Awesome experience! By far the best vet visit we've had, the staff is extremely nice and welcoming. The doctors were very gentle and kind to my little kitty Melo! I could tell Melo was comfortable and didn't mind the vet visit! Thank you to the staff, especially to the doctor who attend us!

What do you do with older towels and blankets when you're done with them? Do you just throw them away? Do you repurpose them to be used as house cleaning rags or shop rags? Have you ever considered donating them to a local shelter or animal hospital? They use them in the animal kennels. Of course, they need to be in good, but not great condition and not torn up.

I recently took a large donation to the Windemere Animal Hospital, which helped them out and made me feel good. When you arrive at the front door, there's a sign that instructs you to leave them on a special counter inside the lobby.

A trusted care source! They understand that your pet is part of your family. Dr. Roger Nix and the staff have been a constant service to our family's two golden retrievers for more than 25 years. My daughter's pets have also been going there for 8 years. They really care about your pet and you as the pet owner.

We really enjoy the staff here and have never had a bad experience. Our pet Samson is well loved here. We're very fortunate to have found a boarding facility that will take great care of him. Samson loves this place!

I almost lost my 13 year old dog two weeks ago because she was not properly treated for two months by the veterinarians at this animal hospital. I took Katie here three times over the course of the two months for the same issue. She was having problems with her bowels and was not feeling well. The vet said he tried to express her anal glands but they were empty.

Her last visit was May 30, 2018. The evening of June 17, 2018 we took her to VCA Animal Hospital because she was bleeding from her rectum. Both anal glands were infected and one had abscessed. She had a very high temperature and was extremely ill. It took two weeks and a lot of medication for her to fully recover. I have taken my pets to this facility for many years and they didn't bother to apologize even when I told them I was taking my dog elsewhere. Don't bring your pets here.

The service isn't what it used to be plus it is way too expensive especially when you have to make an emergency hospital visit after three vet visits for the exact same issue.

We've taken our dog her since she came into our family as a wee puppy. We've loved our check up with Dr. Nix who is very laid back and friendly. She also attends daycare here and I can't say enough great things about it. She gets totally spoiled by all the play time with other dogs and love from the vet techs. It has really played a part in her amazing socialization.

I love taking my dog here to be groomed. Although it is a bit pricey, they do a nice job!
