They took very good care of my Charlie kitty. This is the 1st time that we have been separated. I was happy that he was in a kitty condo w/ a window view. He loves to look out the window. Called to check on him while I was gone for 3 wks. They were very pleasant and didn't mind my intrusion to their time. DEFINITELY recommend them! A little pricey.but you get what you pay for!

We have brought our almost 13 year old dog to this grooming place since he was a puppy. Jamie used to take care of him for the longest. She Of course moved on which is great for her, and another groomer took over. My dog is of a Chow Chow breed and can be a little more aggressive / difficult to deal with. He has even stayed there when we have gone to vacation.
He is also fully vaccinated and up to date with bordetella and other requirements this facility requires. Recently in January we made an appointment a representative called me to let me know they were canceling our appointment due that buddie was "too" aggressive per description on notes we have provided when our dog has gone there since he was a puppy and he is now blind.
Then they said that it was because it was overbooked. We then called again to rescheduled & call us to inform us our appointment has been canceled once again. Due the fact that the groomer will be out for some time. I understand we all go through things in life. It's the fact that, this is the second time & instead of them coming up with a compromise they only offer rebooking, but they don't know where, & the fact that they have other groomer but didn't bother to ask them about the situation and see if they would be willing to try to service him, instead it's a no with no further solution. When we have been customers of there for many years. I am so disappointed how everything was handled.

The obedience trainer we worked with is very knowledgeable. She gave us great free back and the class was small enough that she was able to give each family the attention needed. I would definitely recommend this 5 Star. The staff is super friendly and answered all my questions and addresses my concerns

I have been bringing my kitty to Fondren 5 Star Pet Resort for many years and they have always provided consistent, safe, loving care for her. She has always come back healthy and happy, and I appreciate that they remember her and treat us personally. I also like that the cat room is quiet, completely separate from the dog areas, and it is fully visible so you can see exactly where your pet stays, rather than being somewhere you can't see in the back of the facility. Hoping for continued quality with the new ownership.

Unfortunately, not up to par with previous ownership. They eliminated Sunday pick up without notifying me. They told me they had no on-site management so could not support Sundays. Really?! No onsite management?! I was supposed have food in individual packages per serving or I would be charged. They did give me a pass "this" time. They have done a very poor job notifying customers of "new" rules.
While I was waiting to pick up my dog (4 days early - I found an alternative spot that provides Sunday pickup) a woman was dropping of her dogs who per the vet were up to date on shots - but this kennel requires 2 bordatella shots. In the past, they would just give your dog the shot on-premise. They eliminated this function so the poor lady was left with no boarding for her dogs and she was leaving town for the holiday. I will not be returning.

My new son is quite a handful. We started to bring him here because they accepted him. He had been getting groomed for almost 6 months with Jerrell, the dog whisperer. The whole staff is caring and accepting of ALL doggie and go out of their way to accommodate even difficult Chow Chows. I appreciate them tremendously.

My family has boarded our dogs here for YEARS. So it was only fitting that when I got my own dog I boarded her here. We love Fondren! They are always professional & I know that my dog is safe in their hands. They have exceptional grooming packages as well. My dog always comes home smelling good, nails ground & with a cute bandana! If you're looking for great boarding in sugar land or Houston, you've found it!

We've found our new dog groomer! They came highly recommended on the Neighbor app and my neighbors definitely steered us in the right direction! It happens that they also carry our dogs' food, are nearby, and can handle any of our daycare or boarding needs, when they come up. They're easy to reach and easy to find.

We have been using boarding and day care services for years for 3 generations of dogs and have been very pleased with the care. The Staff has been responsive and professional to all inquiries and our pets have always been excited to go there. The resort is now under new management as the original owner has retired and we hope to receive the same quality care.

I took my dog and when I went to pick him up he was outside. That was concerning, because my dog is a house dog. He was covered in urine. The floor of the establishment was covered in urine and feces. I am happy to support black businesses but they need to truly upgrade the establishment and the cleanliness and care of the pets. Very disappointing

Crowley LOVES Fondren 5 Star Pet Resort! Crowley is a border collie mutt and super high energy! We've brought him to Fondren 5 Star for doggy daycare since he was old enough to have all of his vaccinations and was fixed so we could find someone else to help wear him out while we are at work. He goes two times a week, and always comes home worn. out.
On the rare occasion he has been unable to go as normally scheduled, he is bouncing off the walls and we can't wait to take him to doggy day! The days he goes, he gets home and just crashes out hard, not moving other than for food or treats. We have also boarded him and had a great experience. We already knew most of the staff from daycare, and were able to sign him up to play like we normally would.
We knew he would be well cared for in a clean and safe environment, and weren't anxious at all when we dropped him off. The staff are great - friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I can't recommend them enough!

Great office staff. My dog Sadie goes to Day Care several days a week. She has a blast. Especially when she encourages them to throw the tennis ball. We highly recommend Fondren 5 Star Pet Resort. We have boarded our dogs there when we travel for the past 18 years. They give great personal service and we never have to worry about our dogs when we are out of town. Our dogs usually wag their tails and cannot wait to go in the minute we pull into the parking lot! We tell everyone about Fondren Five Star Pet Resort!

Training is customer relations is necessary. I went to 5 Star in support of my fiance', who rescued a stray. I assisted in the vetting and care for Lucky. 5 Star started out OK, but became an issue fast. Lucy had been neutered and was required to take anti-biotics; Fondren did not given him his antibiotics when there. As Lucky had been a stray, . extra as paid for him to have all day outdoor activities.
I was not allowed to see his quarters to verify. Fondren really got into disagreement with Jenn, when all she wanted was to be assured of the care to Lucky. Lastly, I tried to politely and professionally review with Vicky; she refused. Well, if polite professional conversation is not possible with a customer, there are much bigger issues, IMO.
