Canine Academy in Bolivia, NC is your leading family owned dog training facility offering doggy daycare and boarding services. Owning a dog is a lifetime commitment. Training will open the lines of communication and help you and your dog. Your dog will follow basic commands such as Come, Sit, Down, and Stay with one verbal and hand command. By nature dogs are pack animals and need a society full of rules and regulations. Dogs like to be busy, so using basic obedience is a great way to keep your dog out of trouble.
Services
When you choose Camp Canine in Bolivia you really are choosing a place where your dog gets to play all day long! Outside of lunch time, when all the dogs are brought inside and fed in individual kennels, the dogs will be playing either outside in our grassy areas or inside in our climate controlled play rooms.
We proudly offer a varied curriculum in our obedience classes. Classes are one hour long and meet once a week for six weeks. If your household owns more than one dog and would like to attend classes with each one, the first dog must pay full-price, and after that you will receive a $10 discount on the session fee.
Canine academy is a wonderful training and boarding establishment. My puppy and I have completed preschool training class and look forward to signing up for the kindergarten class. We have also boarded there and will continue to in the future. Lorretta and Allen are knowledgeable, professional and personable.

We were very pleased with Cole and Loretta. Coles training is effective and he helped us understand how to reinforce the good behavior he instilled in our dog. Had to board our dog Daisy here while visiting some family. We came from out of state and the staff at Canine Academy was extremely helpful with accommodating us on semi-short notice. Every one I spoke with was very friendly and the facilities looked top notch. Daisy fell asleep before we even got to Wilmington. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely board Daisy here next time we are in Bolivia.

I can't say enough about Lorretta, Cole and Alan. We relocated to NC from MA and have 2 large dogs. They didn't get much training or socializing during covid and could easily intimidate others. There was no hesitation from them to welcome Ruger and Zena to their daycare and training classes. The younger pup, Zena needs extra attention/training/socializing and most of all patience from those around her.
They are ALWAYS encouraging and helpful. Training isn't only for the pups it's for the owners too, when I'm embarrassed about Zena's behavior they are always encouraging and they work hard at building the owners confidence along with the pups. I am so grateful to have found them and can say with 100% sincerity, Lorretta truly wants every single pup to succeed and be their best, happy selves.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! Our German Shepherd was there for the two week board and train. When we dropped him off he was a healthy pup. When we went to take him food we were refused the right to see him and the owner had a nasty attitude about it too. We said ok and left. When it was time to pick him up our dog was no longer healthy or in the shape we brought him to her.
He has a terrible rash on his belly and both back legs, his fur was matted down and he had a limp in his walk. All she had to say for this was it was a grass allergy. We took him to the vet the next day, costing over 300.00 and he has three different types of wounds from this place. The vet had to shave a lot of the matted fur down to help healing and give him two shots of medicine.
Please be aware of their standards for taking proper care of your dog. We don't want anyone else to go thru this. I personally feel like he was sent to a dog hell and he didn't learn anything. Our dog was not giving the proper attention he deserves.

The best! We have been taking our Lucy there for the entire 2019 year and will continue to do so. We do a bunch of group trainings, agility and even rally. Lorretta is fantastic. The place is always clean. We are even considering doing some daycare this coming year just for more playtime and socialization.
