Not taking new customers. Dog needs surgery and only certain places do the surgery but wont take new customer

I was compelled to leave this rating based on the rude and unhelpful way the staff dealt with an individual who brought in an injured Osprey. The staff made no attempts to gain consent from rehab staff to pass information to those that brought the Osprey in. That person and with no help from the Vet, ended up finding the carer via a live Facebook stream of the Osprey being rehabilitated.

They made contact and the Osprey was able to be returned to it's nest and it's fledglings, thanks to the persistence of those that found her and in spite of this animal hospital making no attempt to ensure she was returned home.

Very impressed by my first visit to Grafton Animal Hospital! Just moved into area and brought my Caique for an exam and beak trim. Dr. Neuhaus and staff proved to be friendly, knowledgeable and caring! They took excellent care of my bird and gave me some thoughtful tips regarding diet and foraging for my parrots. Based on initial visit, I made appointments for my other birds as I'm confident that they will be in good hands!

Very grateful to have found them! We lost one bird and needed to get our other bird assessed and they got us in quickly and were very informative and efficient. Glad we took her in because she definitely has something going on. They came out with our baby and gave us a quick show of how to administer medicine (with a stuffed birdie) which I thought was great. Doctor was thorough and took time explaining her diagnosis. Glad to know they are there with an exotic team. Thanks to everyone there from Roo-b and her humans.

Grafton Animal Hospital is great. Their staff really cares about animals and treat mine like their own. Dr. Moore is an absolute professional and a skilled surgeon. She takes the time to study and stay up to date on new info in the medical field to ensure my dogs are getting top notch care. My dogs are always excited to go in. Would definitely recommend!

The staff was kind and caring. The doctor was polite and pleasant. My dogs were just getting rabie shots and are well otherwise. The thing I would like to emphasize is always get a price clarification and what will be done before the visit. I did not think about their are dogs that are to sick to get rabie shot and that a physical exam is always needed to see if they are strong enough. Having said this my price went up into almost $$. Although, I was give a courtesy reduction because one of my dogs had been there last of last year., which was great for me. But it can hurt your wallet not knowing a head of time what your cost will be when visit is over. Ask first the price, so you can pay after the visit.

They are extremely professional and are handling everything everything appropriately during this pandemic. I am so glad that they took my hamster in. After calling every other exotic vet, this was the first place that asked, "What are her symptoms?" No other animal hospital asked about the condition of my pet even though they were booked. The vet was booked at Grafton, too, but was extremely kind enough to squeeze her into their schedule because of the declining health of my pet.

I am so thankful for their help and would highly recommend this place. They were so kind and helpful. They broke the news to me professionally and kindly. Thank you, Grafton. I truly appreciate your kindness and professionalism. Though I do not recommend euthanasia here for your fur baby. The prices are ridiculous. They gave me a sheet of the estimated costs after my pet's visit and the prices are extremely high.

I hate paying vet bill but, Uncle Sam sees right through it when I try to right them off. Hmmm 2 words- therapy dog, now to get the VA hospital to authorize it

I could literally write a novel about Grafton Animal Hospital because everyone is so wonderful there! They were there for me and our sweet bird daughter when times were hard. They called me and sent cards.just genuinely cared and the staff means so much to me. Now we have another bird daughter and they are tending to her in the best of ways as well!

The staff and doctors are VERY knowledgeable and helpful. My questions are ALWAYS answered. I have never felt rushed. I always feel comfortable there. Sadly, many places push for money on unnecessary tests and things of that nature. Grafton Animal Hospital does not do this and it's a relief. They explain the benefits of certain things and leave it in your hands.

They also give very quick and accurate quotes. And honestly, their rates for exotic pets are much lower than I have seen online at other places in the past. I must say that the staff treats your pets like children so it's almost as if they are going to the pediatrician's office :

The last few times we have been there especially during these scary horrid times, you seem more and more concerned about payment than caring. Money was discussed more than our very very sick dog. I have been there for years and referring people for years but the turn over we have seen in employees and no consistency with how we are treated. My dog came there 2 days ago 8-25-2020 and is deathly ill and never did anyone ask about payment plan or give us option just that we needed to pay right away and here we are 2 days later with no results.

We were told they would get back to us the next day. Nothing! The status they gave that day I found on the internet and don't know anything $400 later than I did from what I read on internet free. She is worse now and still have not heard back. The last time we came there same thing. I don't know that there is any compassion at all or at least now towards my dogs and we have been coming there far too long to be treated like this.

Our last visit a couple of months ago with our other dog.we saw a growth and were scared. Again, they were very vague telling you it could be this or it could be that and wait until your scared to death and then start adding more and more fees they think you should do and you do them because you don't want something to happen and you are vulnerable.

On top of that, nearly $900 they talked us into a monthly health plan and we said yes because again they have these discussions when your at the weakest most vulnerable. I believe we stayed because of our long time friendship with the groomer Carolyn and she is best groomer and really cares about the pups.

My dog had to go to the ER one night and Grafton called during the day to check up on him, thoughtful people! He also had surgery here with a quick recovery. All the staff are great!

Beware of this place. You will need to verify ALL of your pet cost before you allow them to touch your pet. This place is all about the $$$$money- and how much this organization can get from you. I did not feel like they really cared about my pet. If you are on a budget DO NOT go here. They did blood work when there was nothing wrong with my pet. I will not return to this money pit again! You have been warned. Also, look at the other reviews- look at the dates. This is a real (although negative) review.

AMAZING DOCTORS. I have gone there for over 3 years. Most impressed -- and will continue. They are great people and love their patients -- and the humans that care for them!

We've taken our animals to Grafton Animal Hospital since we moved to Yorktown in 2009. The doctors are warm, caring and compassionate people who really care about your pets. Last week the sad truth of having a dog happened. Our darling Labrador finally succumbed to the ravaging effects of canine diabetes. We'd managed that disease with the help of Grafton Animal Hospital for over 3 years. However, when he developed pancreatitis, his body just couldn't recover.

The veterinarians and entire staff took amazing care of our boy and called us to let us know his vitals were down. We got there in time to surround him with love, and make that hard decision. They settled us into a room and helped us ease his suffering in the most compassionate and humane way. They respected our grief, and gave us all the time we needed. I'm so appreciative of the vets, techs, and staff at Grafton Animal Hospital.

Have taken my two parrots to this vet several times after moving to the area, and have greatly liked the care given to my babies. Whenever I've called to make an appt, had no issues being fit in. Doctor on staff always answers my questions, and makes sure my parrots are well taken care of during testing etc. Will definitely be returning!

Boarding and daycare: my dogs love it here. I feel so relieved knowing that they are not sitting at home all day while I'm working. The prices are great and the yards are huge. It's perfect because my sheltie mix looooves running. I don't bring my own bedding because they have their own beds and blankets that they will provide, which is nice! Grooming: my Maltese mix loves Carolyn and she does a great job with her.

My pup normally hates getting groomed but with Carolyn it's just a trip in the park. Veterinary Care: Dr. Raiff is phenomenal and I love all of the vet techs as well. They are very knowledgeable and make great recommendations for my pups. Overall, I love this place. If you ever have any issues, they listen and do their best to help!

I have my pugs here today to update some shots. Dr. Raiff found that Rosie has a broken tooth and she will have to get that pulled. While I'm not looking forward to the cost of that, I'm glad she found that before my pet showed any pain. I like the fact that I can drop my pets off in the morning and pick them up after work. Its much easier on my hectic schedule.

And it doesn't cost any more. Everyone is very friendly and clearly my dogs like it here. Rosie's tail wagged so much at check in. That says a lot. I know my pets are in good hands with the doctors and staff at Grafton Animal Hospital.

I've started going to this clinic in the last year, and I am so happy. The doctors are great-Doctor Frost and Doctor Raiff are both fantastic and are always willing to help. I'm always greeted by a friendly face at the door, and on the phone when I need help making an appointment. Being military, it's hard finding a new place that I love each time I move, but I would definitely recommend this clinic to my friends

I have been taking my dog here for nearly four years and have never been disappointed in any way. The staff is very friendly and the facilities always appear to be very clean. My dog can be challenging since he is both timid at the vet's office and very LARGE! The staff here is so patient and kind with him. It is obvious that everyone here cares about the animals they treat.

They are knowledgeable and always willing to take time to answer my questions. I always get follow up calls after each visit. Bottom line is I cannot imagine taking my dog anywhere else.

So very disappointed! I called before I picked my dog up and asked if he already had a bath. (He was there over a week so it was complementary). She said "oh we are really busy so he may not be dry because he was just towel dried. That was puzzling. I then asked why they didn't use a blow-dryer, she said if I was paying for the bath they would use the blowers, but since it was complementary it wasn't guaranteed.

If they had told me that I would have paid to have a bath like I had done before, I never was I informed that he would not be given a proper bath and blow-dry. When I arrived they told me that my dog would not go out for play time. I have a timid dog, and he needs some coaxing. According to my receipt the days they didn't take him out was Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years.

When I emailed the manager this was her email response "On the days in which the clinic is closed, it was all the staff could do to get all the pets outside in a timely manner. If time does not permit to finish all tasks, this is one service that has to be skipped. " When I was ready to go I asked for the bed I left. They responded "he had an accident." I asked when, they said "we don't know". THEN they kindly offered me the opportunity to take the wet bed home and wash it "because they didn't have time to launder it" The manager told me I could pick it up Monday. I just picked it up. they told me they laundered it. I was soiled and in a misshaped ball.

I started taking my dog here after moving to the area. I liked their large boarding facility with ample outdoor running space. Overall the staff and doctors are nice. My main gripe is they seem to be on the pricey side compared to other vets I have used (and liked). I paid thirty-something dollars for a cone I didn't need. I guess I was probably a little too quick to swipe the card in their super convenient in-room payment capable computer. Also had to pay what felt like extra examination fees while trying to keep all the vaccines and such up to date. I just grew to not trust them based on billing.

Above and Beyond. I have been going to this vet for over six years. They have not only taken excellent care of all of my pets, they strive to really find out the problem. It wasn't until my cat was near death, that they were able to save her and give her a proper diagnosis of asthma, that no other vet cared to look into. Through the health care of our animals, and through the recent passing of our two, they have been like family.

When our cat stopped breathing one day, it was a quick call to the vet, and as soon as we got into the facility, they were able to save her through this amazing oxygen box they built for asthmatic felines. They are always willing to let us see the entire facility, and it has been amazing and impressive every time. Not once, have I seen anything not up to my high level of standards, and believe me, I would be the first person to note if it wasn't. I'm not sure what experience these other people had, but I can tell you I have witnessed nothing but respect, love, and care for our animals.

Dr. Ramirez, Dr. Dolan and the Grafton staff are the most caring, professional, and committed vets a pet owner can have. They have continuously gone above and beyond to take care of my cats medical issues and it is thanks to them that he is happy and healthy. Grafton is a vet that will treat you like family. They remember your name, call to check on your pet, and will love on your animals as they come in from everything to check-ups to doggy day care. I can't give Grafton a high enough recommendation. Five stars isn't enough.
