Wouldn't you like to have a well-mannered dog as a member of your family? Most people would, but whether we like to admit it or not, most of our canine friends are in need of help when it comes to learning what we consider to be appropriate behavior. They do not always understand "our" rules and expectations, and they do not always understand what we are asking them to do. This lack of communication can cause frustration for both you and your pet, and this can unfortunately lead to bigger problems in the future.

Does your dog jump on people or pull on the leash? Will he not come to you when he is called? Are you having trouble with excessive barking or housetraining? Is she chewing up every stick of furniture in your home? Just about any dog - young or old, big or small - can learn to be a better dog as a student of Colonial Dog School.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of pets are put to death due to behavior problems reported by their owners. Most of those problems would not have developed had the owners properly trained and socialized their pets at an early age. Preventing and treating inappropriate behavior at an early age and diagnosing and treating abnormal behavior later in a pet's life is our goal at Colonial Dog School.
Two Week Boot Camp: Includes Initial Consultation/ 2 weeks (Mon-Fri) of 1 hour training sessions at your home while you work or just relax/ 2 owner lessons for you to learn what your dog has learned. House Training Help: Includes Initial Consultation/ Monday-Friday 1 hour visits while you work (walk, potty training, etc).
These programs are for puppies under the age of 6 months and for puppies that range up to a year. They follow the Basic Program, but they also offer socialization time so that your new family member can meet and play with other puppies and provide help for participants to learn about effective house training methods and ways to deal with other concerns, including jumping, nipping, barking, and other "inappropriate" behavior.
