Kindred Kitties

These people LOVE their cats! Unfortunately, sometimes that makes it difficult to adopt from there, because I swear they want to keep all the cats for themselves. If you can manage to visit when they're open go visit!

My mom dropped off a litter of kittens we found abandoned on our property. It was a litter of four males. They were still at nursing age so they were too much work for my mom as she was also taking care of me and I was barely 1. They all found homes and when I turned 2 we adopted a cat from here.

This is the greatest charitable organization in the USA. They do incredible work and save countless cats from a life on the street.

The staff are wonderful and genuinely care about the kitties. I found a stray mama cat and some kittens. Kindred kitties took them in and took excellent care of them until they could find forever homes.

Love my kindred kitties. We got 3 kitties from them over the years. Our youngest kitty from them is almost 13 years old. The other two are over the rainbow bridge. But kindred kitties are purrfect. If we still lived in the area ( on west coast now) we would definitely get a kitty or two from kindred kitties.

Love this rescue. Once my application for adoption was approved (within 2 days) I drove down from Milwaukee to visit Kindred Kitties in person. The staff/volunteers we're very friendly and helpful. Cathy spent a lot of time with me answering my questions and getting background information on the cat(s) I hoped to adopt. I would definitely return to Kindred Kitties!

I adopted my cat from here, and I think it is a great local shelter. Since there are so many cats that need good homes, a large portion of cats are in foster homes. The description for these cats can be found online and you can arrange a time with the foster parent to meet with the kitty you're interested in. I think they take great care of their cats.

They make sure to spay and neuter their cats. They also make sure that they get the medical attention that they need. As part of the adoption process they gave me all of the medical papers regarding my kitty so that I would be sure to remember when she needed her booster shots. Their adoption process is very thorough in order to make sure that you will be a responsible pet owner.

Some of the questions they asked were "What will you do if your significant other is allergic?" or "What will you do if you move to a new location that doesn't allow cats?". They will also follow up with you after the adoption to see how things are going. The kitty that I adopted here has been a wonderful addition to my little family, and has made her way into my heart. If I was looking to adopt again, I would definitely come back here.

We have had two kitties from Kindred Kitties. Sylvester died in October, and he was 16 years old. He was our gentle giant. He was 8 weeks when we got him, and had the sweetest disposition. Jack is our baby, although about to turn 5 in February. We also got him at 8 weeks. He is friendly, fun, mischievous, and a little clingy. He runs up to us when we get home.

I love that Kindred Kitties was so honest with us about our Kitties so that we knew what to expect and how to care for them. I would recommend them to anyone and trust them if we were to get another kitty. Thanks Kindred Kitties for 16 years of great service and commitment.

I used to visit all the time here when I was younger, it's basically like a cat-lover's heaven. Cats roam free around the building and socialize with humans/other cats. All the cats are happy and adoptable. There's a vet right next door to Kindred Kitties that can check-up frequently on the cats to ensure that they are indeed adoptable and healthy.

If you're looking to adopt, you're able to spend as much time with the cats as you'd like (within the hours of course) and ask questions to the employees or volunteers. It's very hard not to fall in love with all of the kitties!
