It's been a couple of years since I adopted my current dog, Chief, but I realized I had forgotten to post a review of the shelter. This was the first time I had ever worked with Bed & Biscuit, but the process from application to adoption was quick and thorough. I appreciate that they want to see the home and understand the future living conditions for the pet.
I give the staff five stars for their genuine concern for the pets. The only thing that I noticed during the process is how the kennel and office areas were not as clean as I would have expected. I know smells are inevitable but this looked like it could use some extra attention. Perhaps that has improved. I'd really hate to see a place that genuinely cares about these rescued pets turn into a place that can no longer care for itself.

They not only take in dogs & cats for boarding but also rescue animals. They have a pretty large amount of volunteers and the second Sunday of every month have a walk. Volunteers come out and take the animals for a walk on the property. They treat all the animals as if they were their's. I have been a volunteer for 7 months and it is sure worth it.

My pup came home with wounds on his upper arms and feet. his once energetic personality has become a meloncholy one. he used to run at the neighbors dogs and bark incessantly, and now he hardly even wants to go outside. nobody even told us what happened, or that anything happened at all. they've left us in the dark about what happened to my sweet babe. don't take your fur babies here.

I loved this place for so long when we were just a 1 dog-1 person family. Recently I got a 2nd dog and SPECIFICALLY asked for 2 separate kennels because I know my dogs. On intake, someone did not read the memos and seriously fucked up! My 10 month old got attacked after putting him in a kennel with his "sibling" for "staging" and my 10 month old was attacked by his "sibling", requiring staples and bandaged.
I got screen shots of the texts with him and his vet office where he says the sibling is a 13yo female. his sibling is a 7YO MALE! I don't know what's going on. I did truly trust this people and was so happy. But I cannot trust them anymore if they cannot read and perform simple instructions

Can't tell if they really take good care of my dogs or not. The place seems dirty. Neither dog ate any of the food we sent during their 3 day stay and the one had diarrhea when he left (didn't have it going in). I'm assuming it's because he didn't eat, but hard to tell. I prefer PetAgree, but they won't take my pit bull.

Terrible facility! We dropped our dog off and boarded her for four days. We told the staff the date and time we were picking up our dog. We paid for grooming and shampooing prior to pickup. We show up at the designated time to find out that they were busy and didn't have a chance to groom our dog. Also, their facility stunk so bad my kids complained and stayed in the vehicle because of the smell.
So they asked us to come back in two hours. We came back and they grabbed our dog. Our dogs face and legs were black! We asked them why they didn't shampoo our dog, and their response was "we did it earlier in the day". I told them the dog didn't arrive that way and we were not taking her home that way. They offered to shampoo her "again". Then, they bring her out and say she had dirt stained on her coat.
We reminded them that she is a white dog and never had dirt staining! We took the dog home and our dog threw up and was extremely lethargic. Called the business and spoke with the owner. Come to find out, they allowed our dog to eat other dog food, which caused her to get sick. Not to mention we provided our own dog food and reminded them she could only eat her dog food.
The owner said that our dog may have gotten sick from the grooming or being boarded. Are you frickin kidding me? Do they think this is the first time our dog has been groomed and/or boarded?

Would not consider going anywhere else. My dogs are like family and they absolutely love going to Bed and Biscuit where I know they are treated just as I would treat them! I have a dog with special needs and the owner and staff are well aware of her and her requirements. All of my dogs love playing with the other dogs in their playtime outdoors or in the doggy daycare.
Half the time when I come to pick them up I am not sure that they are really ready to come home. I never need to worry about taking them back or anxiety level about "going to the kennel" as I know that they are in great hands.

At first, I was very impressed with this establishment. My dog seemed to love it, and the prices were unbeatable. But the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true. The staff constantly forgot to charge us for the days we used the day care- which was no problem for me and my husband. But they forgot other things too. We were told they keep a tight check on fleas and vaccinations on daycare dogs.
That was not the case, as we were never asked once if our dog was caught up on her shots or her flea/tick treatments. We are very religious about this with our dog, but other are not, as our dog got fleas from this kennel. She also regulary came home with scratches on her belly, which I expect to be an infrequent thing if the dogs really are supervised.
We also cought our dog in a kennel without water on a hot summer day, and the staff constantly sent her home to us a filthy muddy mess. Complaints to the manager went unnoticed. I also found out the dogs were unattended long enough that another dog dug out, escaped and was hit by a car. While the property is nice and my dog was always worn out, many things have happened to let me know there is no supervision, and no care about saftey of dogs. Also there are no records kept for payment or dog shots. Its just not a safe place to leave your pet if you are one who treats your dog like your child like I do.
