We had an emergency on a Saturday & were not a patient of record & we are part time residents. They got us in & did a thorough exam. Gave our pup the treatment he needed to resolve his issues & didnt try to sell us on unnecessary xrays, meds, etc. Beyond pleased & will definitely be back!

Very caring and personable addressed the problem that plantation hospital did not. I would highly recommend Dr. Allen at Hilton head veterinary clinic!

Dr Allen and his staff were amazing! I needed my dog seen for an emergency visit and no one in my area could see her. We drove the hour to HH and it was worth it! They were great and very reasonably priced.

Friendly caring staff. They filled our dogs prescription after another vet refused. Our 10 year old black lab was in pain from her arthritis and walking on the beach. They clearly care for animals and not just making money. Thank you so much for helping us.

Great veterinary clinic wonderful receptionist and a great doctor/vet. Pretty cheap not overcharged or anything everything went fast and simple and my puppy is doing much better. And keep in mind they are not an animal hospital so I don't think they do walk-ins they a r e a appointment clinic.

When we moved to Bluffton almost three years ago, we found Hilton Head Veterinary Clinic. My 12 year old Cavalier King Charles had already been diagnosed with a heart murmur and I did not have high hopes that he was going to have much quality time left. But he got better care from Doctor Dixon and his team than we ever got in the DC Metro area and Max had a great quality of life for that time.

Last Friday, we just knew something was wrong and were able to see Dr. Dixon the same day. He was very helpful in talking about Max's condition and analyzing the options. Though he told me clearly and compassionately what was happening, I wasn't ready to accept it. He didn't push or judge me. On Sunday, when I had to face reality, Dr. Dixon met us and helped us end the suffering.

I will be grieving for a long time but I wanted to give Dr. Dixon a heartfelt thank you and sincerest gratitude. If you have a beloved animal, you are both in the best hands with Dr. Dixon.

In and out! Great experience. The only clinic around me willing to fit us in as a new client in just a couple days. No other vets would see my dog for weeks. Now I will be a lifelong client so long as we live on Hilton Head Island! Thanks again

This doctor had terrible bed side manner. Walked into our appointment in a terrible mood and then seemed to be annoyed at the questions I asked. I will not be coming back.

PT resident. Very pleased with both Dr. Dixon & Dr. Allen. My Senior dachshund has Cushing's, Diabetes & Pancreatitis. Dr. Dixon was familiar with this complicated situation and his knowledge helpful. My Other senior dachshund was treated by Dr. Allen for UTI. Happy & relieved to have such expertise readily available. Clinic also has plenty of Hills Rx food for both cats & dogs.

We called Dr. Hunt on a Saturday at 4:00, he stayed until 6:00 to see our sweet dog that was really sick. Dr. Hunt wasn't even Our veterinarian and helped us when we had to make that difficult decision. He was very compassionate During this difficult time. I would highly recommend this group to take care of any pet. Thank you again Dr. Hunt.

We've taken our fur babies to the Bluffton office for several years. The entire staff is wonderful! Dr. Dixon is a no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is Doctor. He doesn't over-react and offers sensible options when needed. We would highly recommend them.

Take my dogs here annually for boarding during our summer vacation. They receive their check ups at that time and seem to have a great time. When i pick them up they are of course happy, but interact well with the staff. Also use this clinic for all emergency needs for pets. They always make time to see the dogs. Great place at both Bluffton and Hilton head locations.

I have been taking our pets to Dr Dixon & Dr. Sara for about 2 years. Our real initial contact was when a pet became sick. I was amazed to be receiving phones from Dr Dixon from his cell phone as he drove home. They never leave you hanging, are always avail to talk, offer emergency service, truly care about MY pets & helped me over the unexpected loss of one.

So when I became over protective of the other two were very understanding & not condescending at all allowing me a couple of months to calm down. I gets meds & dog food from them where they ofFer pgms. for each item purchased u pets towards free on next. It's ends up less expensive than pharmacy or Chewy. Highly recommend for ALL services.

Dr. Sarah W. is fantastic. out previous dog was sick for a while and she took excellent care of her. she even gets down on the floor as she says thw pwt is more comfortable than on the table.

Dr Dixon and his team have been taking care of our pets since 1995. Their care and compassion, sometimes at the most trying times has been exceptional.

The staff greets you kindly. Dr. is wonderful. My pets get the best care here.

So thankful for the staff at Hilton Head Veterinary Clinic! While on vacation at the beach, my sweet dog got stuck in the leg by a little sticker and we could tell it was painful. We took him to the closest vet - HHVC - and they removed it. The staff was kind and generous to us and him. I recommend them 100%!

Excellent staff, the vets are top notch and all about the pets they see every day! They always taken the best of care of our old Harley Dog!

I recently took my cat to this vet before the mandatory evacuation of hurricane Irma to get a health certificate for travel, and waited for over an hour to see the vet, even though I had an appointment, and the exam room was filthy, exam table covered in fur from the last visit, and waited an additional 20 minutes for the vet. While waiting for the vet's visit, I could hear conversations from adjoining exam rooms.

The vet's mannerism was unprofessional and impersonal, and he performed a careless and superficial exam. Then he asked if I would like a rabies shot, and gave my cat the shot with her in her carrier. I would never go back to this vet for any reason. His practice made me feel so uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I have been using this office exclusively for over five years. Dr. Dixon and any of the other vets I have dealt with have all been fantastic. Rates are reasonable and the whole team is professional and courteous. I would highly reccomend.

Dr. Wenkheimer was very caring to my kitty, Piper. She was professional and knew exactly what to look for as soon as I described the behavior. My kitty feels so much better within only 6 hours of getting her antibiotic. Thank you, Dr. W!

I brought my pet in because he was experiencing weight loss. During the consultation, I felt uncomfortable with some of the statements Dr. Dixon made about my decision to treat a former cat for cancer. He said, "Well you probably spent thousands of dollars and still ended up with a dead cat" I knew then that I would not be returning but still wanted to get some immediate help for this cat.

I was charged $200 for an exam and a blood work panel. The doctor didn't take my cats weight, temp or vital signs. I called the next day for blood work results. I was told the results weren't in, and that the doctor would call me on Monday. No call came. On Tuesday I went to the office and picked up a copy of the results from the lab, which were sitting amongst a stack of papers on the fax machine.

I requested that Dr. Dixon please call me to discuss results as I don't understand the specifics of what the lab work can identify. It's been three weeks, and still no call from Dr. Dixon. THIS IS NOT WHAT I CALL PET CARE.

We live in Atlanta, and had an emergency with our Boykin Spaniel. We called the clinic and they stayed open late to see us immediately. Dr. Sara Wenkheimer was terrific. We appreciated the great service and her wonderful skill in treating our Boykin.

The staff at Hilton Head Veterinary Clinic are very pleasant and make you and your pet feel comfortable. The waiting area is very efficient and clean. Dr. Dixon was very gentle with our cat but extremely thorough at the same time. We left there feeling like they all really cared about us and our pet. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
