Animal Barn Animal Barn's Pet Paradise is where your pet wants to be! Boarding is more than simply housing and feeding a pet. Dogs and cats also have emotional needs in their owner's absence. At the Animal Barn, we strive to meet all the needs and desires of your precious pet. We have a staff that is dedicated to the health and well-being of your furry friends and we also love having animals around. We have a highly trained staff that loves to play with dogs and cats, and will treat them as if they were their own.
Services
Animal grooming is essential for the healthy skin of a healthy dog or cat. Our animal grooming specialists give your dogs' baths that include shampoo, blow dry, brushing out their fur, nail trimming, anal glands, fragrance and bandanna accessorizing. Animal grooming includes all of the above along with a cut and style by a professional groomer.
Boarding is more than housing and feeding a dog. Whether short or long term boarding, your dog has emotional as well as physical needs in your absence. Animal Barn strives to meet all the needs and desires of your particular pet, and we try to make our pet care facilities a pet resort. Your pets will enjoy a relaxing, carefree vacation in our pet resort.
Animal Barn has a versatile set of kennels that can handle the needs of your pets for short or extended stays. We have a series of programs that include daycare for your pets, so they are not left home alone, kennels for long term stays of days or more, and a staff that loves animals. Our kennels are rampant with animals that have been given to our care for their owners' work-days.
If training your dog to leap over hurdles, crawl through tunnels, traverse a seesaw, walk a plank suspended four feet above the ground, scale an A-Frame and weave through a line of poles sounds like fun, then dog agility may be just the sport for you and your dog!

Taylor was surprised to find 7 cats abandoned at the front door of Animal Barn, on Christmas Eve. She put an alert out on fb. I happened upon her plea. I'm a volunteer with PURRfect Partners of Mobile. We got the cats, and have since vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and began socializing. One of the 7 is positive for feline AIDS, and leukemia. He is being well cared for, as are the others.

They are great! Went to get my baby's nails clipped and it was fast and painless (for my baby). I've also boarded my animal there and they are great as well. Very accommodating. I would never go anywhere else to board my baby.

Probably the most professional grooming service around. The staff is so attentive to our fur babies. they almost don't want to leave. It's like they are part of the family. The prices are fair and the service is excellent. Our dogs know when it's time to go the Barn for spa day.

9/24/21. And as I expected.no response, no sorry about that, no "we would really like to make this right".crickets. Not a healthy way to run a successful business y'all. --------------------------- We boarded 2 small dogs OVERNIGHT. We asked twice when we needed to pick them up. The answer both times was no later than 4pm. We had them in a suite for an expected total of $65.

I picked them up today at 2:30 pm & my total bill was $119. I said "they were only here one night". The rude cashier taylor said "you have to pick them up before noon or it's an additional days charge". In fairness it is posted in fine print on the wall among other signs, but I didn't look because the previous cashier said we just needed to pick them up before 4pm.

I questioned taylor about the policy and she said "it's just like a hotel". No it's not taylor, it's an animal barn. Had we been told this up front, it's on me but we thought the day ended at 4pm like we were told. I doubt that the management will read this or even care but in my opinion this is a deceptive business practice benefiting the animal barn fir twice the revenue for none of the work. If it hadn't been for the desire to have our pets home I would have made them earn their money by leaving them the extra night I was forced to pay for. Buyer BEWARE

Critical: Quality I've been going here for years. However, the last 2 times I took my dog in for a bath/nails/ ear cleaning, she did not get her nails trimmed or or ears cleaned. There was sill a large visible piece of wax in one ear. I won't be going back.

Our pups love going to be groomed and staying when necessary. They always come home clean and not dusty after their grooming. If you have pups groomed you know what I am talking about. We rode by there yesterday and the pups got so excited. Awww poor babies thought they were going to see their friends. The ladies that run The Animal Barn are wonderful and so sweet. Very, very good with all furbabies.

Staff is friendly and prices aren't bad. Took my Akita in to get a de shed/groom and it was $70. Drop off between 7:30-9 and pick up from 2-4. Only thing I don't like is that they sit in a cage until they're groomed? Not sure but they did a great job! Astrid smells great and now she isn't blowing her coat all over my house!

This is the first time I left my dogs in a boarding facility. They were well taken care of and happy when I picked them up. They were groomed and nails clipped. I will definitely take them back when I need to visit family again in the future. Highly recommend.

My babies love their bather and groomer. They take time with them and make sure they are loved on and happy. I have never boarded my dogs but I wouldn't think twice about leaving them here. The manager is always on top of things.

I really liked this place. I have a older boxer and a lab puppy we were worried since they had never been in a doggy daycare. Best experience, ever they took fantastic care. We had them groomed and it was an awesome experience. I would recommend it to any dog lover.

We the Animal Barn. I take my dog here, my mother takes her dog here, my in-laws take their dogs here, everyone loves it. We come for the grooming and are always pleased with the result. Our babies are well taken care of, well bathed, well dried, they're nails are always nicely trimmed, and they love the bandanas. I think they're prices are super reasonable. $25 gets you a bath, brush/dry, ears cleaned, nails trimmed and filed, anal glands expressed and a bandana.

The staff are all very kind to the animals and have never been anything less than pleasant with me. They require proof of vaccinations before animals are allowed to come and I appreciate them making the effort to ensure our babies stay happy and healthy. The Animal Barn offers other services as well including more extensive grooming, boarding, and obedience and agility classes several times a year.

I have taken my animals here for years and never had a problem. I left my Marley there for 2 weeks and she is ate up with sores all over her body! I called to check on her and not once did they bother to tell me she was getting sores on her! She was beautiful until I took her here! I don't think I will be using the animal barn again. It seems to me the price is getting to high and I don't get what I paid for!

I paid $300.00 for her to be ate up by fleas or ants. I have to take her to the vet because now her hair is falling out. I'm very disappointed in the service we got this time.

They broke our dog! Stan used to be grumpy and a non-people person, now he wants to be held and cuddled constantly(finally)! What on earth did you do!?!?!?!?;-) Thank you for spoiling our baby while we were gone. :D Don't worry, Stan will be back soon. LOL

My two girls have been coming here for a few years. They absolutely love it. The staff is always friendly and professional. They actually go above and beyond to take care of my dogs. I would go as far to say that they're some of the best in Mobile. I would never consider taking my girls anywhere else. We love The Animal Barn!. Please check them out if you ever need boarding or grooming, they're excellent!

My dogs(two huskies) love this place. That's enough to keep me going. The staff is very friendly and remembered me even after just one visit. They are great with the dogs. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places I've used, and their pickup/drop off times work well with my schedule. I will continue to use them!

This place has a lot going for it, but there's still a few things that make me roll my eyes or give a side-eye glance. It's a pretty big, nice and clean boarding facility. They have a website with a lot of good information. As far as boarding, they have indoor-outdoor runs and indoors rooms with tvs (though I do think the indoor rooms seem kind of cramped- that's why I usually ask for the indoor-outdoor runs for my baby).

They have grooming services and handle my neurotic dog's nail clipping seamlessly. They have extra boarding services that you can elect- like extra lap time, extra play time, etc. They do have doggie daycare, but I can't vouch for that- I roll, but don't make that kind of dough. And who really has time for that anyway? Since my dog has been coming here for a couple years now, the staff seems to remember him and they act like they have missed him- you appreciate that as a doggie owner. However. the service at check-in can vary.

The younger dark-haired women is very efficient & friendly and you will be in & out in a flash. However there's another woman working the counter sometimes that seems to be perplexed & flustered with every aspect of her job- and it will take forever for you to just drop off your pet. You're standing there thinking. Really lady, come on lets get with the program.

Also they are going up their prices. I know you have to run a business, blahblahblah. but it's still not cool. And in the past they've been kinda flexible with vaccinations- meaning you can drop off your pet and if they need anything, you can schedule your pet getting their vaccinations at the vet next door while they are there. Now they have a policy that all vaccinations must be done 10 days prior to the stay. Technically its probably following a certain standard, but it still rubs me the wrong way.
