Our name "Cain's" originated in 2002 from Cain, the Afghan hound, who needed constant attention. It was difficult to find a reliable Pensacola dog groomer or dog boarding in Pensacola at that time. Every question in the design and policies of Cain's was answered by the simple question: "Would our pet enjoy this?"
At Cain's we understand that boarding your pet can be both a stressful and emotional situation. Our goal is to make both you and your pet's experience a peaceful and happy one. All of our suites are fitted with custom built double pane tempered glass and internally reinforced doors. These doors expand your pet's environment and visibly reduce stress.
You know how beautiful your pet is, have them groomed at Cain's and show them off to others too! Grooming benefits go beyond just appearance though. Regular grooming promotes general cleanliness, helps monitor health by checking for sores or abnormalities, and prevents issues such as external parasite infestations and matting which can lead to skin irritation and infection.

Indie always comes back so soft! She has a show dog look to her each and every time. The price is worth it for all the Golden hair that follows when we clean her ourselves! Everyone is friendly and it smells wonderful when you walk in. Our favorite part is the cute bandanna they give her each time she visits.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I board both my dogs here frequently and the staff has always been so kind and helpful and treated my dogs like their own. One of my dogs had never boarded before and was nervous going there the first few times but now he jumps out of the car and races to get in there, he's so excited! My other dog is older (13 years) and they take such good care of her and making her comfortable. We are so glad we found Cains!

We had our pup stay here for a week while we were traveling internationally and we were so happy with our experience! This was our pup's first time being boarded so I was a nervous wreck but they answered every question I had and even wrote down all of my small requests. We were unable to call since we were international, so they were nice enough to email us updates and even send pictures and videos. They even gave him a bath before we picked him up! We definitely recommend them if you need to board your fur baby!

We took our poodle to Cain's because they said they would try to get the matting out of her long hair. Seems like they didn't try to remove the matting and shaved the dog down to almost nothing. They didn't have the skills to blend or fade the hair on her back into the lower portions of her body. When I picked up our dog she shook her body and all kinds of lose hair came out.
He ears were not cleaned nor was the hair in her ears trimmed. This was the most expensive groomer we have ever been to and took around 6 hours. This job was not worth the $150. There are plenty of other bad groomers who can do same bad job for much less money. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

A horrible experience, will not go back. We had an 11am appointment and were quoted 2 hours to wash and trim small 8lb. dog. Was supposed to be from 11am to 1pm. Called at 12 to checkup on dog since it was his first time being left alone with strangers in a strange place, to make sure he was doing ok, and asked if he would still be ready by 1, and we were told that it would be 4pm before he would be ready and that he hadn't even been bathed yet.
Don't trust this establishment with being on time, especially if you're on a schedule. We are really upset that his first time at the groomer turned out so horrible, being locked in the cage for over an hour in the back without being washed, and we are pretty sure they took a walk-in ahead of the appointment we had for our dog, another dissappointment.

I felt as if service was rushed and not the love of an animal but more of just trying to rush and finish. Whomever was at the front desk was nice however other staff members were distant. My Yorkie doesn't have a very clean smell to only be 9 weeks. Maybe its my fault as I felt they were in a rush because they had a lot of dogs present. I arrived at 12:30 and she was ready at 1(pretty fast for hand drying)!

I took my 2 dogs for grooming (all the hair removed) and was clear that this was for the benefit of the dogs as they are eaten up by flees. Got the dogs back with a lot of hair remaining on them. They need summer cuts because, as I said, flees. China did not even cut their tail hair at all. been a couple weeks and they dogs are bloody from biting the flees.
I use the advantage and topical spray which they hate. This shop is a money trap. they are not interested in the animals but only in a quick buck. I spent $150 and for this both dogs are awake all night scratching and biting at flees all day and night. I have to take the small one into the vet as she has developed an infection from biting and scratching. DO NOT waste your time and money if the love your dogs.
Now got to go see the vet, find another groomer, wait for an appointment, take time off work just so the dogs can luce a comfortable life. Very unprofessional service from Cains. Anyone know of a good groomer? Our dogs are suffering.

I could not ask for a better job than the groomer at Cain's Dog House does. I have a 3 year old Schnoodle who wears a short cut in the summer and we let her grow out in the winter time. She has beautiful poodle curls on her legs which we embrace in the cold. Jolette is who does my Ellie's grooming. Also her tail has always been a mess. This time she cut it short and it's just darlin'. THEY ARE SOCIAL DISTANCING. You just pull into the parking lot. And they come to you. Competitive price, super friendly and professional staff. Cain's Dog House is DEFINITELY a 5 start rating.

We've now tried Cain's Dog House twice with our poodle puppy. The first visit was specifically to get his ear hair pulled and a sanitary trim. I got home only to find out they didn't pluck his ear hair and we had to return the next morning for them to do that. This second visit, we were told that we were charged a "handling fee" because he "bit a groomer's face." I called for clarification and was told he was nipping at the groomer when they were trying to clip his nails.
They also mentioned it was a normal thing for puppies to do. If it's normal, why am I being charged extra money for someone to pet him and distract him while he gets it done? Our puppy is not aggressive and has only been to the groomer twice. If you're thinking about bringing your puppy here to get acclimated to the grooming process, know that you will be charged extra for doing so. We will not be returning.

Wonderful experience with Cain's Dog House! The person I talked to initially by phone to find out information was well informed and polite. When I arrived for my pet's appointment the facility was very clean and everyone was kind. Excellent customer service. My pet was groomed exactly as requested and even had a cute little bandana on when I picked her up. Pricing is very reasonable for the area. I would highly recommend this facility for grooming. Will return for our diva's next trim!

This is the second time I've boarded my dog, Truman, with them. They are great! It seems like they actually care about Truman. The grooming is amazing! Truman is a Goldendoodle and his fur tends to get pretty long and develop mats after awhile. They did a great job with him! He looks beautiful! No matting! And they followed my wishes (don't cut the eyelashes and leave the ear length). Can't say enough good things!

We were just visiting the area and needed a place for our buddy, because of the rain and stormy weather. He was getting cabin fever after two days and nights in the camper. The rains were to continue for two more days, that's when we called Cain's Dog House and they so graciously boarded him for us. We were happy and our big boy was also. Thank you to the staff! If we visit Pensacola again, we will also visit you all. Phil says hello! Nick named; Philly Cheese Steak

Cain's Dog House was outstanding! The owner was so accommodating to our needs, responded very promptly to emails and overall the kind of business that makes you want to keep coming back. Friendly staff, clean facility, and reasonable prices. Thank you Caines! Would definitely do business with again!

We put both our pets, a cat and a dog, with them for five days. They have a very nice facility and the prices were reasonable. They texted pictures of our pets to us during their stay. Both pets looked heathy and well cared for when we picked them up upon our return from our trip. Will definitely recommend them and use them again.

My dog died three days after I picked him up from this place. He went in with an infection on his paw, which was being treated with meds but other than that he was a healthy dog who saw his vet on a monthly basis. When I picked him up he appeared very sickly and lethargic. He also had very irritated eyes, to the point that he wouldn't open them.
On the third day he began having trouble breathing so I rushed him to the 24-hour animal hospital, where he later passed. I wasn't trying to point the finger but I had my suspicions, so I went to Cains Dog House and asked to see any records, including medication charts that were used during my dogs stay. I especially wanted to see med charts bc I wanted to be sure that they werent accidentally over medicating him.
They told me initially that they keep records but when I went back after my dogs passing, they said they had already thrown them all away, which was odd to me since it had only been a few days. They showed an overall lack of concern and didn't even call me back to follow up, like they said they would do after they questioned their employees. I gave them every chance but in the end they didn't care. I feel pretty certain that if I had never brought him there, he would still be alive. All bad.

My dog has been going here for about one year to daycare and getting baths and grooming. I was pleased until I found out that my dog was not being bathed at the end of the day as they led me to believe. It is poor communication. Every time I called before I took my dog to daycare, I specifically asked for the bath at the end of the day before I picked him up at 6:00 when they close.
I also was under the impression that he was in daycare in the back, however, they had him up front in the salon at one time and that isn't what I expected. Daycare is in the back and that is what I was paying for. They do a good job grooming, but they need to be honest with their customers.
