Emerald Dog Obedience Club (EDOC) has been serving Lane County Oregon for over sixty years. Our excellent trainers offer classes from puppy basics through competitive sports. Some of our class topics are listed below.
Services
Emerald Dog Obedience Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization. Our mission is strengthening the bond between dog owners and their dogs through training. Although we are licensed by the American Kennel Club for our competition events, our training classes are open to all dogs not just AKC registered dogs.
Puppy class is designed to start your puppy off on the right foot towards having good manners and being a happy family member. Socialization with other people and dogs as well as learning some basic obedience are goals of this class. You will be introduced to techniques for teaching basic manners such as sitting, lying down, coming when called and walking on a leash. These skills will be taught using food based positive reinforcement. Other topics included will be housebreaking, grooming and nutrition.

I found the trainer TR Pagel to be very rude and condescending. She may be a great dog trainer but not a good "people trainer" which she was supposed to be doing. I expressed my concerns about her strategies but never heard anything. They probably have other great trainers but definitely avoid all her classes! I had high hopes for this place, but will never go back. Try The Training Spot instead!
