A Paw Above Canine Boarding Service provides a clean, comfortable and calming environment for your pet; our facility was purpose built with these elements in mind. The boarding area is climate controlled and the runs are constructed of solid surface panels. This type of construction dampens sound, reduces anxiety by prohibiting our guests from viewing one another across aisles and aides in preventing cross-contamination. Each kennel is 25 square feet - providing a comfortable and safe accommodation.
Services
All boarding rates include meals (please provide food), an elevated pet cot and a minimum of 1 hour outdoor play/exercise time. A deposit of 50% of the estimated cost is due 48 hours after acceptance. If cancelled with over 24 hour notice, this deposit will be credited to your account to use next time!
We specialize in small group play and introduce new dogs to the group by meeting each dog one-on-one before being put into a group setting. We cycle through indoor play in our daycare area, outdoor play in our turf runs, and rest time in their own individual kennels to insure they are never bored but still get their proper rest between play sessions. Check out our Facebook & Instagram for more pictures and videos capturing the fun!
Once registered you can send requests, manage reservations, submit deposits, buy packages, upload current vaccinations and more! We will also need a copy of your dog's current; rabies, distemper, parvo & bordetella vaccinations. We will also need a current copy of the following vaccinations for your dog(s): Rabies, Distemper, Parvo & Bordetella.

We have been going here for about a year and my dog and I love this place! I've recommended friends here who've had bad experiences elsewhere and they always thank me and say they can tell their dogs are well taken care of here. We've done the daycare often as well as overnight boarding. I was shocked to see the negative reviews. After reading them it's pretty clear the negatives are from irresponsible pet owners. Kudos to the owners for not putting up with people who lie about their aggressive dogs and fail to maintain their vaccinations.

Do not reserve this place or use them. They claim your dog is aggressive when they're just barking and then won't return the deposit claiming you lied on the form. They then threaten to sue you for made up stuff. I don't recommend. Edit- lmao I love the claim. Email me the video for my lawyer then. Let's let the courts decide or are you afraid you'll lose?

One of my dogs came home with his nose split open by another dog there while they were in their cages and not attended. I let them know before we left that my dog needed to be separated from other dogs. If it's possible for the dogs to be hurt through the cages, they shouldn't put two big dogs next to each other unless they know they get along. They also didn't let me know until the next day so he had to stay another night there while injured. I wish more care was taken keeping my dog separate from other dogs and that they would have let me know sooner.

Sundance the Irish Setter loves coming to A Paw Above a couple times a week for day care. Sunny is an older guy who doesn't play or like group settings that much so the team at APA give him a special space and individual attention. He wags his tail going in and is happy and relaxed at the end of the day. Also, he gets a groom there and always comes out looking like a show dog! And the rates cannot be beat.

This update: Now they're lying about me offering to pay extra for them to take my dogs haha yikes! I understand that I overlooked the vaccination records but don't lie to try and make yourself look better. We were able to take them to a vet clinic who had no issue with giving them their required vaccinations. This place is an absolute joke. When we arrived we waited for 20 minutes and while we waited we could hear the 2 workers in the back screaming at the dogs.
I would've have left then and there but I live 4 hours away and didn't have any other option. When they finally came to the desk to help me, they were rude. I gave them the list of vaccinations and was quickly denied because my dogs didn't have all the vaccinations they require. How are people supposed to know what's required when nothing is listed on the website? She was hateful and told me no one else would accept them, but was wrong! So happy we were able to find someone else willing to take them!

Super great owners with a hands on approach and capable and caring team around them. We feel great leaving Frisco there for a night or a week, and many times take advantage of their on-site grooming service. Frisco is picky about going to strangers, but went straight to Alan (one of the co-owners, with his wife) like he knew him his whole doggie life.

If you are looking for somewhere for your pups to be well taken care of while you're away, this is the place for them. I have brought both of my dogs here a handful of times and have always had a wonderful experience. Clean facility and they always are flexible with dates if I need to bring my pups in a day early or need them to stay a day later. I can trust that my dogs (Sylvie and Buddy) are in good hands while I'm away when they are at a paw above.
