Our boys have come here for lodging for years. They have so much fun it's almost like they are upset when we pick them up! We love this place and they are extremely detailed and loving to each and every pet they care for. I definitely recommend bringing your pups here when you go on a trip!

Boomer has a good time every time he goes. He smells great when he comes home.

Our Spencer must really enjoy his time at Urban Tails as he always comes home ready for a long nap! Staff is great.

First of all, the owner is a money hungry thief. The entire place is unorganized and complete chaos. Dogs get into fights in the daycare constantly. Might as well be called "doggy fight club." The staff is NOT properly trained on how to handle dogs safely, nor are they properly educated on dog behavior. They just throw people in and hope for the best. Hell, I don't even know if they hope for the best.

The work environment is so stressful that it makes people physically sick. Oh! And did you know a dog died in their grooming salon? Just read that first review. So sad. The facility is unsanitary and smells horrible. They don't clean anything properly and the owner is too cheap to buy proper cleaning supplies or fix the facility so it's safe and sanitary.

If you don't pay extra money for your dog to get out for walks or playtimes, they spend their stay in a kennel screaming and alone. It's not a great environment for dogs. It's honestly not. There are far better, safer places to leave your pets. Do your research. Be smart. And don't leave your animals here.

Urban Tails is clean and the customer service is amazing! My dog loves the mornings because she knows that she is going to UT. Their daycare prices and spa prices are right in my price range. Penny highly recommends UT and she gives it a 5 paw up!

My pet loves this place, and I love it for her! The staff is very welcoming and professional. They are also highly trained. Lodging is available, and they even have a pool! Training and therapeutic services also available. Im telling you, my pet has such a good time there she comes home happy and tired! Give them a shot!

Very rude customer service. I had brought my dog there for years up until this last December. I brought her there to stay for 2 weeks while I was out of the country and did boarding + full days of doggy day care every day. I hadn't seen her on any of the cameras and my calls to them went unanswered. Keep in mind, 2020 was unique in that a lot of us were stuck at home for most of the year.

Imagine what this can do to a dog when they are used to us being around 24/7 and are abruptly taken away? Rather than decompressing my dog and doing slow introductions, they put my dog in doggy day care and even said that she was overwhelmed with all the activity & other dogs. My dog obviously didn't like that and I think growled at another dog after being pestered. (The staff should have removed her as soon as they noticed she was overwhelmed and on edge).

No aggression occurred but they ultimately decided to keep my dog her room, alone, and was only let out twice a day for short 10-15 minute walks outside. There was NO communication about this until I finally got someone on the phone around day 4. They offered no alternatives and whoever I spoke with was EXTREMELY RUDE and dismissive. I was able to get my neighbors to pick her up the following day and take care of her.

Even if this doesn't worry you, the dogs stay inside ALL day and go potty inside on their rubber flooring and some worker walks around with a mop and somewhat wipes it up. That is DISGUSTING & how infections run. Do not take your dog here.

Everyone is nice and professional. My dog is excited to be dropped of a daycare each time. I would recommend.

I took Sage (Siberian Husky) 4 month old puppy to get groomed for the first time and he came out smelling AMAZING. Sage also stayed for doggy daycare after his grooming, and he did NOT want to leave. he had so much fun playing with his paw buddies. Danielle was great help from booking Sages appointment to caring for my bub.

WARNING! ** URBAN TAILS PET RESORT KILLED OUR DOG! ** It is very difficult for us to write this review, but I'm hoping it will give us some closer and peace for our Beloved Marley Girl. While our dog "Marley" was at the groomer getting simple nail trim and bath, we received a phone call from Urban Tails stating that there was an "accident". We rushed to the groomer to find out the worst news.

Our beloved Marley was dead. The groomer stated she brought Marley to the back room and place Marley in a bath tub and placed her on a choke collar. After the groomer was done giving Marley a bath, the groomer stated: ".Marley jumped out of the tub and broke her neck. it all happened so quickly, it was an accident." At first, I was sympathetic to the situation, but as i demanded to see the video footage, I was denied viewing any video footage because the owner of Urban Tails stated: ". it's too graphic to watch." We left Urban Tails with our sweet Marley's body wrapped in a cold wet towel.

Our lawyer also requested to view the video footage. This is when we found out the TRUTH. After the groomer finished rinsing Marley, the groomer proceeded to leave the room leaving Marley soaking wet, attached to the choke holder and alone in the tub. Approx 1 min later, Marley began to look around. Then she jumped out of the tub with the choke collar still attached. Marley then began to struggle for her life, gasping for air and trying to reach for anything to help her breath.

She could not touch the ground. She struggled for 8 WHOLE MINUTES according to the video footage. Her body went limb at 9 minutes. Marley was found hanging by the choke collar outside of the tub by a different groomer at 11 minutes. 11 minutes have passed since the original groomer left the room. Her body was unresponsive and Marley was dead. The original story given to us by the groomer was a complete lie.

This was NO accident! This was complete and utter NEGLIGENCE! Marley did not die instantly as the groomer stated. Our poor Marley struggled for her life and suffered a senseless death. We feel tremendous guilt for trusting our family member with Urban Tails. We should have never brought her there. If you love your pet as much as we do, please please please DO NOT bring your pet to Urban Tails.

Nothing on earth will bring beloved Marley back to us. But we hope to inform others to learn from our tragedy. The groomer should have never left her unattended and the use of choke collars should only be used by properly trained groomers or omitted from grooming / bathing techniques completely. The heartache of losing a loved one in such a sudden tragic manner is overwhelmingly difficult. Please DO NOT bring your pet to Urban Tails! In solidarity - Marley's parents

I informed them that my dog had a traumatic experience so i requested they be gentle with him. They cut both sides of my dogs fave and didn't inform me. I realized once we got home. I would not recommend.

Mrs Julie is the best! Great dog trainer, very attentive to her students and gives great lessons and hw to the pets owner. Louie my frenchie was always thrilles to be at Urban Tails and greeted by the trainers and his friends. We will be back soon! Thanks Julie and Urban Tails for the great work on my pet during his training and his day care!

My dog loves this place! Dexter can hardly wait to go play with his friends! Some days I can't even get him to eat breakfast at home he is so excited to get there! They are always happy to feed him. I can buy a bag of quality dog food there and keep it there for him. I can also pick up a bag for home if I'm running low.

This place is great! Everyone there is professional, friendly and helpful. The real judge here is Ziggy. He loves it and tries to run inside when we arrive. Some days, he does not want to leave. Thank you, Urban Tails, for taking care of Ziggs.

This is for my Houston friends! For over 10yrs I have been getting my puppies groomed at Urban tails in midtown and have recommended to many! Last Thursday when I picked up Frida, she was bleeding badly and in excruciating pain. Vet said her nail was broken and immediately operated to remove the remaining nail. She is still in pain and cannot walk on her paw. Gretchen who claims to be the owner is out of state.

I demanded her to call me, the following was her response, "our groomer did not intentionally hurt your dog." I want everyone to know what happen for anyone who takes their pet to Urban tails.

Urban Tails really cares for our dog, Beau, as if he were their own dog. He has boarded there on many occasions and we think he feel like it's his home away from home. Also, the front desk personnel are very friendly and accommodating. The trainer, Julie Smith, is outstanding and has helped our dog be more confident on his walks. She not only was able to train Beau to almost ignore other dogs and squirrels on our walks, but gave us advice on how to handle him when we had company over to the house. I highly recommend Julie for your dog training needs and Urban Tails if you have to board your dog.

This place is a rip off seriously. they charged me a full day of boarding which is $38. 00 when my dog had only been there 26 hours. The manager said quote this is just like a hotel, if you pick up after 12PM we charge anOther day. I was not told that the day I dropped my dog off. I mean come on, you don't have to rip people off just because. That's how you lose good business.

I also received grooming services for the dog as well, you would have thought the manager would have been fair enough to knock something off the price. We just won't be back!

Miss Julie trained our 6-month-old Akita puppy Ty, and he absolutely loves her, and Urban Tails generally! He gets very excited for his visits and overnight stays, and we have been pleased with their service.

This place is GREAT! Rue is absolutely the best groomer! She gets to know your pet/baby's needs. Leo and I love you! Thanks for being awesome!

It is a shame that this place is very close to me but it seems like they don't want my business so it has been taken elsewhere. I initially called about grooming and training services for my puppy and was told the trainer would get back to me.after waiting for a week with no call I decided to go to the facility to get information in person. I met a member of customer service who took my email information down and was told I would be emailed information.well that never happened either.

I am now happy with an excellent dog groomer and trainer but need to board my dog for an upcoming trip and really wish they had better service so that I would use them but given the initial customer service experience I have had, will drive and board my dog at another facility.

I live across the street and see how they treat the dogs on walks which is disgusting. They drag the dogs and smoke around them and let them poop wherever and not clean up afterwards. Not recommended based on first hand observation.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! I am taking my dog there a couple times a week after knee surgery to use the swimming pool. The dogs in staying there always look comfortable and everything is always clean. The first time that I went, one of the workers was laying in the kennel with the only dog back there so they weren't alone. I thought that was awesome. Highly recommend!

We have been using Urban Tails for about a year for grooming and overnight stays when we travel. We've always felt like our dogs are well cared for but it was really confirmed over the Thanksgiving holiday, which I know for a fact they were booked. We pay an extra fee for our dogs to get one on one play time and the staff always text us so we can watch our babies play! Seeing their happy wagging tails gives us so much comfort.

The staff send us random pictures of them, which is always a treat to get. I call daily yo check on them and Joseph is always so patient and kind with me. Following their Thanksgiving stay, my flight arrived late and I didn't get to the day care until 11 PM! Jesse greeted me like it was 3 PM with a fabulous attitude knowing how anxious I was to see my girls. Their fees are reasonable and the care is excellent!

I absolutely love this place. I had been looking for a groomer that was gentle and friendly with my lily she's an excited chow so she's a bit difficult to work with. I met Rho the groomer and she took the time to talk to me and make me feel so much better about working with my lily. She did everything she could to work with lily and made sure she and I were both comfortable. Rho was amazing and super sweet I'm so thankful for her she is awesome. I definitely recommend urban tails! I can't wait for Rho to work with Lily again!

I am so glad I found this place. My puppy got groomed here and looked best then he had ever looked. They know what they are doing here. He was also as happy as can be when I came to pick him up. He can be a handful and most places don't take the time to groom him right and be gentle with him. This place did. I will definitely be back!

Never been here for grooming or boarding, so I can't comment on that, but we did enjoy the indoor pool here for one of our houston meet up groups, dogs had a blast!

Me and my pup love Urban Tails. We don't take Hadley there very often, but the staff is always friendly. The pick up and drop off times during the week are convenient as well. Hadley always comes home tired! I think it's sort of pricey, but it is comparable to other places. Only once have I used the bath/groom service, and that was also very good.

My one complaint is that the video system app does not work (maybe just for iPhones it doesn't). The people there have tried to hook me up to it, too, and couldn't.

This place is great for boarding young puppies. I was scrambling to find a place that would keep my 2 month old puppy, Stetson, for a few days while I go on vacation. They took in my baby with open arms and full of care. He was nervous at first of course, but he warmed up to them. I called to check in him, and he was doing great. They also have suggestions on playtime for him. I felt like I left my baby with a family member. I will be taking him back here again. Thanks Urban Tails!

These guys are awesome! I dropped off my dog Molly around 9 am this morning for her appointment. I was hesitant at first because I can never seem to find a good groomer who does exactly what I ask for. I spoke with the groomer and told her exactly what I wanted and she delivered. I can't recall her name but she's great! I have been disappointed in the past with PetSmart and other individual groomers. I'm sticking with Urban Tails. They called me at 3pm that afternoon to pick up Molly and she was happy and groomed! Keep up the good work guys!

Do NOT be FOOLED. Note that half the 5 star reviews for this place are people who wrote less than FIVE reviews. This place would have a MUCH worse rating had they not put FAKE REVIEWS on here! Will NOT make this mistake again. I boarded two dogs here at the recommendation of River Oaks. which I now completely question them after recommending such a place.

First off, the front desk girl is like a zombie waiting for slit her wrists the second you walk out the door. It made me super nervous to leave my dogs with somebody who seemed to hate their job that much. Second off, their website packages and whomever is on the phone is COMPLETELY misleading and confusing. We were under the impression that our dogs were to stay in a luxury loft with tv, bedtime cookie, cot, etc.

This place left such a BAD impression on me that mid way through my vacation I panicked and called in to see how everything was.only to find out that they did have a luxury sized loft WITHOUT any of the amenities. On top of that, the girl on the phone said it like nothing. Third off, I come in to find my bill is almost double what I expect. Turns out they were charging both of our dogs $34/night in which they were very unclear on the phone while we were booking. I'm not sure if it's the zombie voice, or what, since my husband was the one who booked (and was also shocked).

I honestly don't even mind paying any price for my dogs to be comfortable and happy.but we got NOTHING of what we thought we would get, and then paid extra on top of that. Even with all of that, the front desk girl just said this all like it was matter of fact. I would NOT leave my dogs with them ever again. On top of that, they tout that they have webcams to watch your dog etc. NONE OF THEM WORKED!

I got crap with Chinese letters, and most likely a virus. I was very irritated at the piece of sh*** technology they had. Don't mislead people if you're too cheap to have a legitimate system. I feel completely CHEATED and displeased after this entire ordeal. So.if you love coming back from your trip or vacation to some bullsh*** this is your place to go!
