Learn more about our complete line of services here, and why they are important to maintaining the health and happiness of your pet. At Parkway we are invested in the health and well being of your pet as he or she grows and develops through all the life stages.
Parkway Animal clinic is now offering a low cost alternative for pain management for arthritic patients, acute injuries, post surgery healing and more. The laser uses light to jump-start the healing process, increase blood flow and decrease inflammation and pain. Laser Therapy (also called Light Therapy) uses electromagnetic energy to interact chemically and biologically with the tissues causing "photobiostimulation".

I am not a client of this clinic but I recently applied for a job here and received a phone call from Sue. She did not have the best personality over the phone (which I wasn't going to hold against her) but the kinds of questions she asked were highly unprofessional. I put on my resume that I was going to college in the fall to become a vet assistant and she was rude about that even after I explained that it would be online and would not interfere with work whatsoever.
Then she asked me if I had any children that would be "getting in the way" and if I was vaccinated. I understand employers asking if your vaccinated that wasn't my issue but when I told her no she asked me why and I said because I would like to do some more research on this and some of my family members have had negative reactions to the vaccine so I was still up in the air about it.
She then proceeded to tell me in a very rude condescending way that that's ridiculous and covid has been around for almost 2 years and I had to make a decision. She then asked me about my experience levels and when I told her I had over 5 years exeprtince she was only willing to start me at 12$ an hour. I've never been interviewed by someone so unprofessional in my entire life and I can't even imagine what actually working here would be like.

I took my dog to Dr. Sutton for about 6 months. Everything was great and the staff were very kind to her. However, when she fell very ill and needed the most care, we were completely abandoned. We called several times, left voicemails, but not response or follow-up. Luckily, the ladies at Compassionate Care stepped in to keep her comfortable in her last few weeks. We never heard from anyone at Parkway again.

About 2yrs ago my cat become very ill. Without having seen her before Parkway got ahold of her old records and saw her within 24hrs. The next day I had a possible cancer issue and specialists already set up through the office for my furry baby. My cat unfortunately didn't make another 2 weeks, but the speed, care, and kindness from both Dr.s and staff from Parkway floored me. Especially since I had walked in out of nowhere. Now I currently take my other furry baby to Parkway and have never had any issues.

My kitten had stopped eating/playing so after a week we took him to Parkway. After spending over $500 on blood work and X-rays on 1/13/21, I got no response and no solutions to his problem. One week later he was not any better so we took him back. My appointment was for 4:15pm and my cat and I waited in my car until 5pm when they finally took my cat in.
They had not received his blood work back and could not suggest any treatment. So instead, they recommended another set of expensive X-rays to "compare" to last time. I stated I could not afford another set of X-rays just to compare from the last visit. They understood but urged my kitten to at least get fluids for nutrition and that it will "only cost $50." After visitation fees, I left almost 3 hours later spending over $100, with no answers on what was wrong with my kitten, again.
I called almost every other day to see if his blood work results came in and after continuously reaching out over a 2 week period, a technician told us they received the results. However, only the vet was qualified to inform us of the results, and that once the vet came back she would call us. A few day pass and I call again today (2/5/21), the vet is not there again but finally gives me a call 2 hours later.
The vet asked how my cat was doing and proceeded to tell me his blood work results (from 3 weeks ago) were "very bad, " with little to no concern in her presentation. She then recommended another blood test and I quote "to see how he's doing now and it'll only cost $70." I was BAFFLED. She had the audacity to ask for MORE money without 1.
Not telling us what was even wrong and 2. Giving us ZERO solutions yet again. I have spent over $700 and over 3 weeks with a suffering kitten, desperate for any type of help at all. Parkway took advantage of me during desperate times. Parkway does not care about my kitten, they do not care about me, they only care about money. I understand with COVID there would be delays but 3 weeks with no urgency to call me about my kitten's "very bad" blood work results is absolutely shameful.
Their lack of decency, communication, and compassion is what I am utterly disappointed about. I cannot speak for everyone's experience however, if you want a vet who genuinely cares for your pet and not your wallet, find somewhere else.

**Edit** After scheduling another appointment and going through the motions with their team, I felt I needed to amend my previous 1-star review to better reflect the service. The team who assisted with my kitties surgeries (Dr. Linda Fung-Rogers) was beyond amazing, and her dedication to helping animals is clearly visible in her communication to me throughout the process.
I think I could boil my previous issues down to really just one person, which is why the review is now 5-stars. Sue was the one (who below) failed to follow-up and schedule an appointment after the power/internet outage that caused them to cancel my first appointment. She also failed to convey pre surgery details to me, which would have been nice to know.
She also came out to the car to get information for the cats without a mask, and I had to remind her to go back and get a mask. So yea, really the only bad dog here is Sue, everyone else is beyond amazing. So if you call here, and do get the pleasure of working with Sue, just ask for someone else. Previous review left below for context. Lack of follow-up on multiple occasions, reception seems rushed an non empathetic. Was able to go to veterinary school and finish training by the time they called back. Would not recommend, bad dogs here.

So apparently dr Sutton retired. Good for her! Unfortunately I do not think it is good for us. She (Dr. Sutton) was wonderful! It has now been taken over by some other company. The email I got from them was from "synergy animal hospital and chiropractic" regarding my pets medical records when I requested them. You will notice that the vast majority, if not all, of the positive reviews are from prior to her retirement a few months ago.
My main complaint was after the examination their refusal to provide me a copy of my pets prescription so I could order medications online at a substantially lower cost than what they are now charging. Previously the medication cost about $150 for a 100 pill supply. Enough for over 3 months. This time they charged me almost $100 for 24 pills. When asked about the cost they said. "It is the same medication and price as before".
I thought maybe I misremembered however when I got home I checked my records and found I was correct and while the active ingredient may have been the same and the dosage the same, the pills were a totally different shape and size. Not a big deal but I felt as if I had been misled which I find rather disheartening. They also tried to up sell and guilt me into some tests that I didn't feel were necessary.
Specifically a Lyme disease test. We live in the suburbs. Our yard is sprayed and treated for pests regularly and my pet has been on anti flea and tick medication continuously for over 8 years.seems VERY unlikely he suffers from Lyme disease. He also exhibited no symptoms that would lead one to conclude a test was necessary. It just kind of felt like a money grab.
So now I have to go to another vet and have a visit to obtain the prescription they refused to provide to me in order to get my pets medication. Very disappointed in the new ownership and sad to say I will no longer be trusting them with the medical care of my pets.

We really love the folks at Parkway Animal Clinic. They show so much care and love for our pet every time we bring her in. They often go above and beyond as well. For example, we recently refilled our pet's pain medication and transitioned to an online pharmacy. Knowing that we were at the end of the current supply, Parkway stayed open a few minutes after hours and waited for us to pick up a small batch to get us through until the online meds arrived.

I really liked Dr Sutton. I was recommended this place upon moving to Ann Arbor and when my dog had bad allergies, she offered me lots of advice and gave me fair prices on his medicine. She answered my many questions and seemed really knowledge and honest about the things we talked about. Then when my dog got fleas and I wasn't able to bring him in due to my work schedule, she was willing to email me and explain all my options and what I should do. I'm really grateful I found this place, I totally trust the doctor and the staff is really nice. The office is clean and immaculate.

We've been taking animals to Dr. Sutton and her wonderful staff for over 20 years. I simply cannot say enough good things about their compassion, knowledge, professionalism, and care. They always put the pet's wellbeing first, from routine visits to helping you through decisions at the end of life. Their love of animals comes through in all they do. And, while it's not the primary consideration, their prices are more than fair, and Dr. Sutton will always work to find an economical solution when possible.

I am involved in animal rescue and vet bills can be extremely expensive. Even the local humane society vet had a 3 week wait! I called this place randomly, and the quoted price was less than half the other 5 I called. There was an appointment available the next day, I was seen quickly and there were no surprise fees. My favorite vet so far and they have certainly earned me as a client! Its not flashy, big, or decorative - but who cares about that? The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the prices were affordable.

Don't let the strip mall detour you from this amazing vet office! We have now taken our past two rescue dogs to Dr. Sutton and couldn't be more impressed with her knowledge and passion for animals. We also really like her staff which is a bonus - they always explain the charges for services BEFORE they are done or administered. They even walked us through the difficult process of putting one of our dogs to rest. I would recommend Dr Sutton's office hands down to anyone looking for great care for their dogs.

I'm still taking animals to Parkway - my third generation of pets to see Dr. Sutton and her wonderful staff. Since my earlier review, we've had to help two kitties find their way to the Rainbow Bridge, and I could not have hoped for better support and advice than we had from Dr. Sutton and all the techs there. Towards the end of our elderly, diabetic cat's life, Dr. Sutton gave so much of her time and energy to simply listening to me, answering questions, and guiding me through a hard but correct choice.
She was very clear about what made sense and what didn't and is always entirely focused on the well-being of the animal in every circumstance. I'm thrilled to be able to entrust our two new cats to Parkway's fantastic care and continue to recommend the practice to anyone looking for a vet!

Dr. Sutton and her team are amazing! My dog has hip dysplacia, dangling dewclaws, and straight hocks so he is clearly a hot mess. We had a bad experience at a vet previously in the area, and was recommended to visit Parkway Animal Clinic instead. That was the best decision I made for my pup's care! Dr. Sutton is honest, compassionate, and experienced.
She takes excellent care of her patients and their humans. Coming from a vet that told me I may have to put my dog down before Christmas 2017 (he's loving life and thriving and it's September 2018) and to not feel obligated to cover the costs of surgery, Dr. Sutton swooped right in to comfort me and let me know all of my options. She is so knowledgeable and supportive in my effort to help treat my pup medically instead of surgically. I'm very grateful we found Parkway Animal Clinic, where not only the pets are looked out for but the humans are too.

Dr. Sutton and her staff are all wonderful people and treat your pets with such tenderness and care. You can truly see that they do this for the love of animals and aren't out to take advantage of you. I will be forever grateful to everyone at Parkway, particularly Dr. Sutton, for being so accommodating to us these past few weeks as our beloved pug suffered through a severe bout of pancreatitis.
While our hearts broke when we ended up having to put him to sleep, everyone at Parkway rallied around him and did what they could to help our suffering dog, including what turned out to be multiple phone calls per week to them for almost a month.

I highly recommend Parkway Animal Clinic. I usually see Dr. Linda Sell on Thursday mornings at this clinic, but she was unavailable and I saw Dr. Sutton for my two Golden Retrievers. She is very experienced and caring - and put both myself and the dogs at ease. I also appreciate that she works to make pet care affordable and in the last year or so, she added Care Credit to the payment options.
Her staff are very helpful and kind and and it doesn't seem like they change over frequently, which makes me think that Dr. Sutton is good to them and creates a nice work environment, too.

Dr. Sutton is an amazing vet and an amazing human being. She cares deeply for her four-legged clients, and has such empathy for her human clients. Our beloved golden retriever had to be euthanized while I was out of town. Dr. Sutton knew how hard it was going to be for me, not having had the chance to say goodbye. As I wrote in an essay about Bailey, a few days after I returned, a package came in the mail.
I opened it to find a pawprint set in clay, a long braided lock of fur I immediately recognized as being from Bailey's tail, and a note from Dr. Sutton. That afternoon near closing, I went to the clinic. She recounted for me their efforts to figure out what was wrong -- the theory was cancer in the heart -- and described exactly what happened during his final moments. She held me while I sobbed, and she cried too. It's hard to imagine a better vet, or one who cares more.

Dr. Sutton is amazing! She is a great vet who really cares about your pet as well as your wallet! Her prices are extremely reasonable, especially given the amount of attention her staff and she gives. She will also try to save you money by only recommending tests/vaccines your pet needs. Her hours and availability are great too. The staff is very accommodating.
She has taken care of my little 12 lb dog for approximately 3 years. I have moved so unfortunately cannot see her anymore. Whenever my dog needs to have shots the staff are very attentive to my normally scared pooch and she walks away with no trouble at all! Most of the times my dog can't even tell she received a vaccination!
