Eclipse Dog Grooming

Went in to ask a question about my 1yo who hasn't been groomed before, as I was just curious to even the process/standard. Upon hearing that I didn't have an appointment, the receptionist immediately cut me off and said "we aren't accepting any new clients, sorry". I just was walking in for an inquiry, not an appointment. I guess it's good for them to be busy, but to not even be able to have a conversation with me left a bad taste in my mouth. Apologies to whoever is looking for a groomer, but apparently they're not taking any new business.

We have been clients since Deb opened her doors. She, and her staff, are kind, caring and absolute pros at what they do. Wouldn't take our furbabies anywhere else!

Dee, is my dog groomer. I have been her client for more than 10 years. I would highly recommend her. She has been very respectful to my dogs. Great groomer! The other groomers seem very pleasant and attentive. I have taken my dog for a quick nail trim in the past, the girls (groomers) were gentle and kind to my Yorkie.

I brought my dog Gizmo in without an appointment only 15min before they closed. They were happy to accept us even after I warned them that Gizmo is a total spazz about his paws and we've been turned away by other groomers in the past. They trimmed his nails AND did the butt glands and I was in/out in less than 10min. Added bonus.they're more affordable than any other groomer I've found in the Villa Park/Lombard area. I highly recommend Eclipse, especially if you have dogs with anxiety like Gizmo! Finding this place is a life saver for me!

This is it 4th time I have taken my bichon poodle here. Her very first visit was great. She looked beautiful. She developed mites shortly after (not the groomers fault) so she started biting patches out of her legs. Her next 2 visits, my husband authorized them to shave her down. Now that her fur is growing back and it's getting colder, I specifically told them today NOT to shave her bald.

I told them to trim her low so she could keep her fur. I also told them to cut the fur on her face down. No where in these statements did I say SHAVE MY DOG BALD! my dog doesn't even look like herself. Furthermore, my dog is a 7lb dog but it took 4 hours to groom her with an appointment? When I take my dog to them she is always trembling and trying to run, when I pick her up it's as if she hadn't calmed down at all which makes me believe they are either scarring her or hurting her. I loved this place because of where it's located in relation to my house and the prices were nice but I will never go back here again!

I've taken my dog here for years. Always excellent and professional grooming in a friendly dog loving environment. Now that I'm in Naperville, I still drive every month for their grooming services of my Lhasa Apso. When I pick her up, she is absolutely immaculate and happy!

Use to bring my other baby here and now we have a new baby so trying them out. Friendly prices awesome will try again and see. We have some horror stories with grooming so our fingers are crossed bit so far so good

For once my dog doesn't hate going to the groomer. He walks in to the place freely. This place has been awesome and they do a great job with his cut.

Critical: Professionalism Not friendly at all. Out of the 10 or so people working here, not a single person greeted me or my dog even when someone was up at the front counter right in front of me. Did not feel comfortable taking my dog here. Their prices seem reasonable but I would rather pay a bit more somewhere else.

We LOVE Eclipse. They always do a great job with our Golden Retriever pup, Luna.

The best around! Great staff, very knowledgeable and honest about the way the service went and pay very close attention to your dog and any changes they notice in your pet.

They take such good care of our dogs. They've been grooming our dogs for over 10 years. My dogs are always happy to go to get groomed.

We have been bringing our dogs to Eclipse for over 25 years. The people at Eclipse do a great job both bathing and doggie day care. We would not bring our dog anywhere else.

Outstanding work, loving care, and exceptional grooming resulting in a very clean, coiffed dog kept to breed standards. Always friendly and knowedgeable, a breeder herself, she and her staff such as Drew and Lindsay turn a floppy, long haired long nailed dog into a pristine pet.

Love their work and generous nature's. They don't overcharge yet you get the best grooming you can find. Another perfect job on my Lhasa Apso. Go there; trust your valuable loved pet into their skilled hands. You'll be glad you did!

I've been going here for my 2 pugs for years - they are great - they have a natural knack with dogs and are just incredible with my furbabies. Great pricing, great service - a 100% rating!

FYI - one reviewer mentioned their entrance is cluttered. That was their old location. The new location is not cluttered.

So rude. I was late for my appointment as I thought my husband cancelled it. I went in anyway as they said I could come in before 10. When I walked in I was ignored and received dirty looks. Then they said I had to reschedule. No thanks. I'll take by business elsewhere.

I've been taking my chihuahuas here for nail trimming. It's walk in, they do a good job, and can't beat the price. I've recently started fostering a long haired dog who needed a trim, so I took her here. This is the first time I've gotten a dog groomed, so it was all new to me. I dropped her off in the morning and picked her up after a few hours. She looks like a whole new dog! Fluffy and with a pretty new color and bows in her ears. Highly recommended for both the nail trimming and the grooming.

Such a great experience! My dog was skunked early one morning and we could just not get out the smell. I called Eclipse around 7 and they were able to fit him in that morning. He came home with the smell gone, soft fur and a cute Halloween collar for a very affordable price! Thanks eclipse, we'll definitely be back!

This is my first time using Eclipse for my dog. They did a wonderful job and were less expensive than our previous groomer. Probably the best grooming my Wheaten has had. I Would give them 5 stars but the place is unorganized and they are not the most friendly in the world. I'll definitely use them again though.

I've been taking my bichon to Eclipse for about 6 years now. Prices are great and she always looks perfect. Every once in a while I forget the appointment and they are always accommodating and still get her in. I've never had a problem with the hours.

I go here just for walk-in nail clippings and here's why: My biggest problem with this place is their hours: open Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday-Saturday and close at a different time every day? I have to go look up on their website just to make sure I come at the right time! And yesterday I showed up (after double-checking their store hours) to find a dark shop with a sign that says "closed till Saturday".

How do you run a business like this? For grooming I go to Head-to-Tail in Elmhurst since their are open 6 days a week at consistent times like a regular business. But they charge $7 for just nail clippings and its convenient for me to just walk to Eclipse for nails ($5) so that why I have been still going here. But if I can't even rely on them to be open during the random hours that they say they are, I am beginning to rethink coming here at all.

The people who run this business are rude and unprofessional. I called for an appointment and the person answering the phone kept having to "ask the groomer" and would talk to the groomer with the phone within earshot. The groomer made several ignorant remarks about customers and sounded like she had a fourth grade education with a third grade attitude. No amount of talent is going to make up for poor customer service. I will never consider using them. They really deserve NO stars.

Not gonna lie, I was very weary about bringing my dog here. It just didn't seem like it was ever open or like anyone ever went in, and yea it did kind of look like a dump. I had my doubts, but then Angela went and convinced me to give them a try. So I called to make an appointment. Make sure you take note of the hours when doing so. When I brought my dog, I noticed the entrance was cluttered.

That kind of bothered me since I'd like uncluttered spaces. The workstations are within view and you can see other dogs getting groomed. Now, this isn't a negative review, I'm just trying to show that looks can be deceiving because they were really great with me and my pups. They took the time to get to know him and for his size, the price was more than right. The ladies are friendly and knowledgeable not only about grooming but also on other issues. Can't wait to take him back. P.S. NO credit cards.

This is the place to bring your dog or cat if they are in need of a bath or nail trim. The staff is friendly and professional and in some cases, know more about pet care than my Vet! They also carry a great line of pet food and treats, so it's one stop shopping. I highly recommend this grooming salon and have referred several long-term customers that are as pleased with the services as I am.
