Established in 1995, Mallard Pointe has a proven track record of keeping pets happy while their owners are away! The kennel is located on a natural, country setting of 30 acres, with the owner's personal residence located on-site. Mallard Pointe is owned and operated by sisters, Julie Campagna and Blair Williams.
Mallard Pointe offers spacious indoor / outdoor dog runs to accommodate all sizes of dogs. The indoor portion of the kennel provides a secure, clean, and private setting complete with a Kuranda bed, plush bedding, and piped-in music. The individual outdoor portion of the kennel is a great place for your pet to exercise, sunbathe, or converse with the dog next door!
Reservations are required to guarantee a kennel for your pet. Boarding charges begin with the day of arrival and continue through the day of pick-up. If your pet is picked-up between 8:00am and 9:00am Monday through Saturday, there will be no charge for that day. Call 309-949-2563 to get boarding, grooming, and exercise rates, or to reserve a spot for your pet today!
Is there a veterinarian on staff? We do not have a veterinarian on staff. However, it is our policy to contact your pet's personal vet should the need arise. In a concerning situation, we will always try to contact you, first, and then take the pet to his / her personal vet. If it is an after-hours emergency situation, we also use the Animal Emergency Center for problems that can't wait for normal office hours. All veterinarian expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner. Can we come to visit Mallard Pointe Kennels prior to boarding our pet?

After my experience today, and my experience in the past, I felt I needed to express to the public just how great this place is. You can tell that each and every employee and the owners of this place genuinely care and take pride in the services they offer. If anyone is looking for a place to board or need doggy daycare or grooming, I truly believe you won't find a better place. Thanks for caring for all of our past, present, and future babies. It's nice knowing you can drop them off and go about your day without worry.

They were amazing! Sadly one of our dogs passed away during stay due to old age.but the staff stepped up to make sure we were notified and everything was handled while we were away. They even bought our other dog who was still there a few toys, gave her extra loves, and sent me pictures almost every day to reassure me she was coping ok with the loss of her mate. Thank you Mallard Pointe for being so caring towards the animals AND humans

I select a kennel based on 3 things - hours, facilities and price. The strong point to Mallard Point are their hours - Sunday hours are really key and MP is open from 4-6 on Sunday. Score 1 for Mallard Pointe. The facilities are nice and each dog has it's own dog run with a doggie door. This is another plus for me, although I did see some dogs in little cages inside.
I assume they were grooming clients waiting for pickup. The price here is quite reasonable - under $20 per night and for another $10 they trimmed my dogs nails. The place appears to fill up on the weekends so make sure you get a reservation in.
