Let me start off by saying that I do not have enough words to show my gratitude and appreciation for Chantal Cartier. A friend had recommended her name when I was struggling as a first time dog owner with a rescued adult dog who was showing human aggression and severe case of separation anxiety. When the shelter/rescue group/foster was giving me no support, Chantal was like a guardian angel.
She spent endless amount of time with me on phone sharing her experience, knowledge and insight. Her calming and soothing voice was a blessing when I was feeling at my wit's end. She was available via texts even on weekends and late evenings, no matter how serious or silly my question was. She had given me vets and therapists names to consult and books to read all of which helped me moving from one day to another deciding on my next step. Unfortunately I had to end up surrendering the dog. But I wholeheartedly recommend Chantal to anyone. Her kindness and professionalism amazed me.

Today, I could not believe my eyes when my precious little dog came running back to me at a lightning speed. CC Cartier 's, from Maverick Pet Partners, training had saved my dog's life. Once you work with CC she teaches you what our family refers to as "the CC way" - a special tonality and way to use your dog's name that means nothing but good things are about to happen.
For the last two years when we played ball or I spoke to him or gave him a treat I would use that special fun voice. "Let's go Grammy, time for our walk"! So today, when I saw him outside of the backyard fence (he is a clever little dog and somehow breached the system), I figured no problem. I will just go get him. But suddenly he took off. Something had caught his eye and he started chasing it so fast it was only a matter of moments before he was out of sight. Now, Grammy is the type of dog that is mission driven and I knew he would continue his chase until.
He could have gone in any direction and who knows how far (he is micro-chipped and has his ID but I was more worried about the roads or other dangers). I quickly got my keys and while on my way to the car I was calling "Grammy" in the special Grammy voice he had heard throughout his life. All of a sudden, from far away, I see this racing white fluffy ball of fur coming back to me. Grammy!
He ran straight for me and jumped into my arms. I gave him love, hugs and kisses and lots of 'good boy Grammy!'s. CC had always said that when it comes down to that "moment" (the moment when you need to keep your dog out of harm's way) you have to have a relationship with your dog so they know that when you call their name it means fun, love, kisses and hugs.
And it worked! I thought of CC's training right away, although it had been over two years since we worked with her. With CC you and your dog learn lots of skills - all of the basics but more too. She helps you bond with your dog while in the training. A bond that continues to build long after the training sessions end and could not be broken when it really counted.
Like today. This one event was worth every penny I spent for the training. Words cannot really express the benefits of working with CC. You just have to experience "the CC way" for yourself!

I have been a client for over 4 years now and couldn't be happier! One of the things that I love most about CC is that she doesn't only exercise my dog, but also provides a training session with every visit. CC is a certified dog trainer and behavior consultant who practices positive reinforcement (i.e. using treats or other rewards to train your dog vs negative methods such as shock collars).
Her daily training sessions with my dog were extremely beneficial during his first year of life when he was still a rambunctious young dog. Thanks to CC he learned to walk perfectly on leash, pass dogs or other distractions effortlessly, and politely greet any people he encounters. CC also provides other services such as taking my dog to vet appointments.
This has been very helpful since I often have a hectic work schedule. And last but not least, CC provides in-home petsitting whenever I'm away. I always rest easy knowing that both dog and house are in fabulous hands!

Chantal, of Maverick Pet Partners, is simply amazing! We have an anxious dog, who is often slow to warm up to strangers, but from the minute he met Chantal, he has been completely in love with her. She understood our dog's body language and needs so completely that she was able to put him at ease right away. She has also helped us to understand our dog, and has taught us how to work with him much more effectively. Chantal is positive, encouraging, and insightful with both humans and dogs, and is incredibly smart and knowledgable.
She has offered us so much support and such invaluable guidance that we've come to think of her as part of our family. We trust her judgment completely and turn to her for all kinds of behavioral issues and questions, and even vet visits, that come up with our beloved pup. Perhaps the best part is that we know she loves our dog as much as we do. If you are looking for someone to be your partner in raising a puppy or helping a dog with serious challenges, Chantal is the person to call. You and your dog will always be grateful that you did.

CC Cartier has been an invaluable resource for our foster dog whom we now adopted! He came from a hoarding situation and in addition, he has a cardiac condition. Dogs from hoarding situations display timid and fearful behavioral that is unique to that environment and need a different approach. CCs knowledge of both the medical and the behavioral issues was so important for us in best helping Jeffrey.
Her positive behavioral approach is in line with how we want to treat our dogs and it's been so refreshing to be validated in that way. She is a compassionate animal lover and human being with such a thoughtful heart! Thank you CC from the bottom of our hearts! You have made such a difference for our sweet guy!

We adopted a 5 pound shelter dog which ended up being terrified at everything and had a difficult time eating and interacting. We already have a small dog who also needed to acclimate to the new living conditions. We contacted CC for immediate help. Not only did she help us tremendously over the phone, she came over the very next day and had both dogs responding to new commands and interacting peacefully.
She literally worked magic with them in a caring and loving manor and with positive reinforcement. She had both of them loving her and learning from her within minutes. You can tell CC cares, is very knowledgeable, and works from the heart. Most of all, you cant fool our furry ones and they loved her! We also received help when going to the vet. CC helped us order the right blood work which saved the life of our new family member and diagnosed a condition we would have never done on our own. CC is the best in her field and we cannot thank her enough!
