We currently have two locations for training - Griggstown and East Amwell Township. The Princeton Dog Training Club was incorporated in the state of New Jersey as a non-profit in 1952. The club is an AKC licensed obedience and agility club. The club was formed by Dr. Armour Wood and Dr. Jacob Blumenthal of the Princeton Animal Hospital, Jack Whitwell, an Engineering Professor and Howie Knudson, a swimming coach, both from Princeton University. Promote the training of dogs and familiarize dog owners with proper training techniques by means including, but not restricted to, training classes.
We are so glad that you are enjoying our training program and are interested in becoming a member. To be eligible for membership you must first attend 3 full 8 week class sessions or 5 full 5 week sessions. These must be completed with PDTC and can be a combination of Agility, Obedience, Rally, Nosework, or Pet Dog classes.
PDTC offers Agility training classes for Beginners through Masters in a private indoor arena. As students gain experience and expertise, they are able to move up our class levels. We offer a variety of instructors and classes four nights a week and our program is structured to expose students to all of our instructors for a well-rounded learning experience.
These classes will work on some of the basic components of agility in a series of fun games, exercises, and play. Teams will build confidence and understanding of different obstacles used in agility, such as the table, tunnels, planks and A-Frame, all at very low heights. Teams can work at their own level while learning about the exciting sport of agility and whether it is something they want to train with their dog. These are not agility competition training classes but rather agility skills classes.

Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter has an amazing and caring group of professionals and volunteers take such good care of the animals in their shelter and make sure they are very engaged. Additionally, they test each animal to determine their personality to help make a better placement with the perfect family! All their animals are neutered and microchips. Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is a great place to find your next best friend!

We started taking Obedience classes with our Lab rescue because she had some character traits that we needed expert help addressing and changing. Fast forward three years and she has one several first place ribbons at trials and we constantly get comments when in public places on what a well -behaved dog she is.
