New Jersey Dog Trainer Gail Kulur is the owner of "Make Sit Happen, LLC.", based in Hillsborough. She apprenticed with successful dog trainers in the early 1980's, and gained hands-on experience by teaching group classes for nearly 10 years, before opening her own training business. She also volunteered for Labrador Retriever Rescue for eight years, which prompted her to pursue dog obedience training as her career.
Think about this: Dogs without a 'complete' education do not understand what is expected of them. They don't know what their options are, so we can't keep it a secret! We need to teach them! Many owners 'manage' their dogs' issues, but seldom know how to fix them. We can fix this by teaching your dog coping skills, social skills and teach you a way to communicate your desires to them.
Paula McCollum is a professional dog trainer and experienced search and rescue dog handler. Having supervised the training of over 100,000 dogs and their owners in group class settings and over 5,000 owners and their dogs in a private setting since 1975, Margot Woods really believes that most problem dogs are simply bright dogs with no job.
Izzy has done 100% better on her walks. They have been pleasurable for both her and me, thanks to you showing me how to walk her properly without pulling. It was also so helpful to us first time dog owners to attend the Puppy Social. It's like learning a whole new language, but I feel so much calmer and more competent, and we all benefit from the joy of having a sweet puppy! After our class with Gail, I took our dog Max out yesterday in our backyard, where he did his 'business'. Unfortunately, I forgot a poop bag.

I am taking a puppy class at Make Sit Happen. Gail, the owner, is very experienced and runs a tight operation. Safety comes first and following that she shares knowledge and experience to get the best out of the pups and their owners through demonstrations and direct instruction. After two sessions of seven, I am already seeing positive results with my pup and my confidence to train him to be a well-behaved family member at home. Gail follows up with emails and handouts to help follow through with practice at home. Well-done. I am so grateful this facility and training is in my area. I highly recommend this training.

Attending this basic obedience class with Gale was great. My dog Max and I we had a wonderful experience. As a first time dog owner I have learned a lot. Gale is an experienced and knowledgeable trainer that will answer all of your questions. Thank you Gale for the great experience and knowledge that we have gained!

I've attended Gail's classes since my OEB was a pup. she is now 3. Every one of her classes (puppy socialization, beginner training, intermediate training) is fun, educational, interactive and just flat out awesome. Because of those classes I've learned how to create a loving bond with my dog, cultivate trust between both of us, learn about boundaries and had fun with the whole process.
Can't wait to get back to more classes soon! I highly recommend Gail to anyone looking for a knowledgeable trainer to facilitate something amazing with their dog. Thanks Gail! Lauren and Skye!

This is the best training ever! Puppy social is so important - please think about this as soon as you get a dog. My dog doesn't fight for food treats or toys. She was taught early on that they don't matter. We took the basic obedience class and my dog did amazing! We then did a rally obedience class and that was fun! If you go anywhere else - this is the best for the money - out there!
