Dogdayz Playhouse & Retreat

I have been involved in dog rescue for 15 years and fortunately live near this boarding facility. The owners were involved in rescue work and try to help out as they can. A year ago they allowed Tails and Trails to have a free training session with a dog that was considered dog aggressive and human selective. With a little advice after having spent 6 years in a shelter environment, Magic Mike was adopted and happily is living with another dog. They also gave us a couple days of boarding free when we had no fosters and were getting 5 adult dogs from Ky and 6 puppies. All would have been euthanized. Caring people

Awesome place! We picked up our dogs happy, healthy and tired out. We'll be using them again for our next board. Last place we boarded our dogs, we picked them up looking like they hadn't eaten the entire time, covered in dried feces and miserable. We were nervous to leave them again, even though this was a new place with good reviews. Thankfully the stay with DogDayz was wonderful and we will be bringing them back!

We had our first experience this past weekend, dropping off our pug puppy for a couple nights. Everyone we interacted with was so great and friendly and you could tell loved their jobs! The email updates we received were awesome and gave us peace of mind while we were out of town. Our pug Ernie had a fantastic time! I would 100% recommend Dog Dayz and we will definitely be using them to watch our dog again! :

Our dog, Gunner, had a great stay at DogDayz while our family was out of town. He enjoyed play time with the other dogs. We were able to get him groomed before pick up.

Bear & Lola absolutely LOVE going to doggy daycare here! They get so much love all the staff are friendly and helpful all the time! My babies go for daycare or boarding and I know they are safe and happy (and going to sleep good once they get home)! So glad we found this place and prices are excellent! My 7 month old puppy had such a great time at his first day of daycare. He came home tired and happy! I will be recommending to anyone looking for a place to take their dog!

I found the two women I interacted with to be genuinely caring. I believe it was Stephanie that helped me when I called and when I brought my puppy in for Day Camp. And the new manager, I think her name is Tiffany, was eager to assist me with my puppy Maisie. I really was impressed with how they try to match the puppy with another of similar temperament, and how they detailed Maisie's experience for the hours I left her.

If I were to have one suggestion, it would be to clean more frequently the door window where the dogs jump up and lick and the equipment in the puppy playroom (or replace the equipment) so that at first glance the contents appear to be in good condition. Thanks again for taking such good care of Maisie! I know she enjoyed sitting on your laps being petted!

Love taking my Roxy here. Everyone is very friendly and they take good care of Roxy, price is very reasonable.

We needed a place for our dog to stay during the day while we visited the area. The first day is free, and they will evaluate your dog to make sure they will play well with others. You also get a report on the first day. If they play well, you can bring them back almost any time without a reservation, which is nice. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, the lobby and play area was secure, and I felt comfortable dropping my dog off.

She came back nice and tired so I'm sure she played hard. My only complaint is that their website says they have webcams you can watch playtime on, however I could not find them anywhere. I did not board or groom so I can't comment on those areas. If we are back in the area and need daycare we will definitely choose DogDayz again!

This doggy daycare is amazing for any working pawrent! I have a 4 month old golden retriever & no other dogs at home so this place is amazing to give him quality of life & interact with other dogs so he's not bored & lonely at home all day. When we picked him up, we got a report about how he did with his photo (so cute) & he was one wore out pup! I will for sure be taking him back there 2-3x a week.

Amazing staff who really care about our pets and will send picture updates if asked. They went above and beyond and my dog that usually has anxiety issues had a great time. Great price too

After reading a few reviews on Yelp I was a little nervous about leaving my 2 dogs there for the weekend. I saw a lot of unflattering reviews, but we gave it a shot. I was extremely pleased with my experience. The employees were super attentive and I could tell they really cared about my dogs when I dropped them off. One of my dogs is very anxious in new places, but the staff made him and me feel really secure about leaving him. Pick up was super easy and both my dogs were happy as could be. I'll definitely be back.

I was anxious about boarding my dogs for the first time at a new place. One of my dogs doesn't like new places, but the staff was very attentive and accommodating and made me and my dog feel comfortable. I picked up my dogs after 4 days and they were happy and healthy. Great experience and you can tell the employees really care about your dog. That goes a long way

We boarded our dog over thanksgiving break. We received daily emails with updates on how he was doing. Every employee we interacted with was very friendly. When we picked our pup up he was happy to see us but I think also wanted to go back in to play with his new friends!

My dog always has so much fun at DogDayz! It's always a guilty feeling leaving for work knowing he will be home waiting for me to get home so it makes us both happy he gets to go play with other pups at doggy daycare. Staff is always very nice too which makes you feel comfortable knowing your dog is in great hands!

I called stressed & exhausted as we just adopted an 8 week old puppy. she would scream bloody murder in her crate.when i say she screamed she would scream so loud I could hear her outside. i was at my wits end. i called looking for training and boarding and the owner.i forget his name picked up the phone. he gave me some advice & honestly it was the best advice i have received. my puppy used to cry and scream day & night if I wasnt around to hold her. with consistent crate training.she is literally a different dog. she cuddles on her bed by herself, does not cry anymore & will sleep perfectly fine while I am out working. cannot thank him enough for his advice. i can now sleep in peace knowing my little one is getting the hang of being a puppy.

We have used DogDayz for 10 years and our dog bounds in so excited to see the human friends who work there. She is well cared for, , gets to play and we love her progress reports! The owner really loves the dogs and cares that the place is well run.

No response from DogDayz. Bella- I usually board Bella at Beverly's Precious Pet Campus - Fishers, Indiana. I chose DogDayz this time because I didn't want to pay an extra day for a late pickup. I had an issue with Bella's treatment when I first boarded her at DogDayz. Her paws were a mess and she could barely walk. The owner apologized profusely and credited my account.

He said he hired new staff who forgot to check her paws. I gave DogDayz another chance and Bella's stay was fine. After that I heard great things about Beverly's and decided to board Bella there for a week. The staff are so friendly and are always excited to see Bella! Wonderful customer service! Because I was already having an expensive weekend.

I boarded Bella at DogDaze. Big mistake that I won't ever make again! Firstly, I did not receive a friendly greeting. She grabbed Bella's leash and took her away. If you know me and know what I do for a living. customer service is HUGE with me! After the lady came back I told her to please pay attention to her paws and even sent a reminder via email.

They sent me pictures and said that Bella is doing great! I went to pick her up and again they said that she did great. Once out the door she didn't want to put her paws on the concrete. I had to wrap her paws so she could go outside to potty. Bella is still walking like a cripple today. DogDayz let her down AGAIN! NEVER will I ever board her with DogDayz again!

We love dogdayz! i can't say enough about the staff and the level of comfort i have leaving my dog here all day. i am a vet tech and previous manager at another daycare/boarding/grooming facility and i never hesitate to give dogdayz a recommendation. being in this field you learn to not care as much about a fancy, clean, perfect atmosphere; it's for DOGS and dogs get dirty when they're having fun! our pets are certainly not as judgey as we humans can be. by no means am i saying this isn't a well kept facility- it is! but i appreciate that, compared to other places, they care more about making your dog happy and providing good customer service. i love dogdayz for the caring staff and the tired happy dog i get back at the end of the day!

When you need an good quality and available dog groomer. dog dayz is my go to! Wow was it easy and quick to get my pup taken care of with great quality. I love how they have handled COVID, they stayed professional the whole process. Not only does this place do groomer for your pup but training, and boarding! The location was VERY easy to get to in addition to all of this! Win win for me and will so be coming back for more services.

My dogs love going to dog dayz. Sky wish he can go everyday. I always feel safe leaving my fur babies Sky and Milo at Dog Dayz. They take good care of my dogs. They are professional and provide the best service ever. I used their grooming service, daycamp and boarding. My babies are always happy going to do Dog Dayz

The Dog Dayz team does a great job of taking care of our golden doodle when aren't available to do it. Lexi gets excited when we turn on to the street where Dog Dayz is located. She can't wait to go in and play with all of the pups. She recently spent a week with the Dog Dayz team while we were on vacation. She needed some extra TLC because she had 3 tumors removed right before we went away. They were wonderful with Lexi and kept me updated on how she was doing. I would highly recommend their boarding, day care and grooming services!

Brian, the owner is an incredibly kind person. Dog Dayz is new and improved. Our puppy is exhausted when I get her home and I know she's had fun. Brian has kept his business open throughout this "chinese virus". Brian is looking out for his customers and employees. He has been safe, just closing the lobby, and is even selling hand sanitizer and cleaning solution. I love the heart of the small business and I choose to support them now more than ever. At first we were at little wary but they have taken care of our GSD and sent up updates and pics regularly. The groomer does a great job ( grooming, not on the front desk-lol) My dog has always come back healthy and happy.and really sleepy. I have no issues or worries with my baby there.

Beware! Worked here two weeks. This place was absolutely antiquated and filthy and the owner had a foul mouth and was very unprofessional and a total hot-head. Someone needs to absolutely shut this place down because this owner will squeeze 40 large dogs in one room and not even think about the individual care that they will get. Most kennels will put two employees for a 40 dog ratio, but this owner is such a tightwad he will do anything to save money EVEN at the expense of the dogs experience.

The forwarned is forearmed. I would never leave my dog at this filthy place. There were even ants in the kitchen where the dog food was actually stored. Huge thumbs down I'm so glad I left.

I can't recommend this place because my dog was injured here. Up until his last visit, everything had been going fine. Though the entire building smells very strongly of urine, my dog didn't seem to mind it there. He came home pretty tired once and once with diarrhea, but my dog is maybe a little sensitive, so I thought nothing of it. But now his back is injured and he's miserable and I'm sad about it, and I've lost PTO, money and some sanity caring for him.

My vet questioned what happened at the kennel so I told her about all of my experiences and what I saw at my initial walk through visit. In the playroom there were maybe 5-10 big dogs and one employee with what my vet told me is called a rabies pole. She said that was definitely not alright. Of course I had no idea what was normal. In the lobby, the folks always treated me and my dog well, and it was genuine.

So I can't believe that anyone intentionally hurt him. Maybe another dog hurt him or maybe he even hurt himself. Regardless, this injury has made me unwilling to bring him back. It's pretty sad really.

DO NOT take your dog here. The front staff is rude (except for the groomer and Jeremy), owner included. Reservations get lost. Expect your pet to return smelling of cigarettes from the employees smoking while taking your dog out. If your dog chokes out while excited on the lead, they want a ridiculous clearance from the vet at your expense. Today was the final straw when I witnessed an employee strike my dog twice on the head. HIGHLY DO NOT recommend! UPDATE: Shared my concerns with DogDayz and got BLOCKED from their site. Very professional.

Every time I bring Lucy to Dog Dayz she gets kennel cough. After 5 separate times of this, I will not be bringing her back. I spoke with the owner and he blew me off. His response was maybe my dog has a week immune system. She has been to other places with no problems. I find that rude and unprofessional to say the least. I would avoid the place until they get rid of the issue.

I thought I was happy with our former boarding and grooming location and then on a whim tried Dog Dayz. I had no idea what we were missing! They are a small business and know and like our dogs. Boarding is slightly more expensive than other places, but it actually includes everything and we are not nickel and dimed here for our dog to be taken out. Grooming always turns out great and our younger dog who hasn't always loved grooming handles it perfectly here! We (dogs included) LOVE Dog Dayz! The knowledgeable staff went above and beyond showing us around and this was days BEFORE our pups did the FREE first time day care! Answered all of our questions and even some we hadn't thought of! Sooo.2 days later we dropped off our Aussie and Corgi! It was beyond awesome to watch the puppy play cam! I loved the report picture we got and the heads up on how they would be pretty worn out! I'll fill you in when we get back from vacation! It's so wonderful to feel so comfortable BEFORE we leave!

Let's just start with saying! Hands down some Of the best customer service I have received. My dog has been resistant to day care and boarding from a bad previous experience but this one was absolutely amazing. He played well with dogs he had a great time! And the staff even answered questions I had about his day! To top it off they had an amazing groomer for the groom and play package that did great on Sosas Cocker cut. I will be bringing him back and I've found my boarding and daycare home!

NEVER AGAIN! This place has lost all of its home, enjoyed, comfortable feeling. Starting at the top with Bryan (owner); the customer service skills have gone out the window. Besides three different threats; he lacks 100%of being able to communicate without emotions. A person who cannot control themselves should definitely not take care of any dog. Don't ever be late or the front office staff will also have terrible body language and communication. (Things happen in life. I.e. Traffic, work, etc.) Makes you think if they have a bad day or are not able to control their emotions. Is this going to be good for your furry friend?

At first yes (ty shells, only bright light there). Now not a chance in hell. I would like to personally thank Brian for supporting my earlier statements and continuing to show his INABILITIES to listen, read, and understand anything; as a professional business owner or adult. As he continues with personal Attacks and not even being able to the acknowledge the concerns he should be addressing. I.e. Improving his business, customer privacy, etc.

As a fully paid customer. I stand behind the concerns of this place. The lack of any customer service, the inconvenience of time. And DOG Suites is overall a better place. Ty, For complexly backing my reasons for writing and not the better of dog days. Last thing. Any more further of my personal information gets put out and I will without hesitation be contacting the city.

Thank you to Brian Cottrell and staff of Dog Dayz who took amazing care of Lilly and Stella. We had some hiccups in their health and he went above and beyond to keep us updated and get them the care they needed. If you need a great place to board or just a doggy daycare and training, he's the guy! Thank you!

Not sure why this place got such bad reviews? When I told the lady I found this on Yelp and she paused for a minute saying really? (She told me most of these reviews were from upset ex employees). Truthfully, I didn't have any other options because everyone was full for thanksgiving but we had a family emergency and had to get him boarded. But I am so glad we boarded him there! It's a little pricey (37ish a day) but maybe that's normal for boarding but they have him premium food and let the dogs play all day with each other and the staff!

I loved watching this on webcam and you can also see staff cleaning at end of day and they are pretty thorough. Our bulldog Loved it! The place was very quiet and clean and you can tell the staff care about animals, which is very important to me. I highly recommend, especially since you can watch your fur baby on webcam.
