We offer boarding to our daycare dogs only. Your dog gets to play with his friends all day at daycare and is only separated at night to sleep. Our boarding dogs have a few options on where to sleep and we always try to find out what they prefer.
Services
Maggie and Rick enjoy the warm weather of Florida in the winter but are back all summer long to help take care of the Ren Dogs facility. Renaissance Dogs was founded in September of 2006 after several years of searching for the perfect location. The owner, Rebecca Henderson, had been working the canine field for several years and started noticing a trend in kenneling and daycare: dogs were increasingly warehoused' in small enclosures and were not allowed to be together in social settings. She knew that Bangor needed an alternative to the "traditional" kennel environment.
Daycare is a whole new world for most dogs, so you may notice that your dog is acting differently when they first start. SORE PADS - Running around may be rough on your dog's feet, and they may get sore and abraded pads. This will fade as their pads get thicker and used to running on different surfaces.
We encourage you to drop your dog off earlier than later in the day for boarding stays. Dogs who have a chance to enjoy daycare and have fun before spending the night have an easier time settling in! At Renaissance Dogs our dogs thrive on consistency. For this reason, we only offer boarding to our daycare dogs.
No advanced sign up required. Come to RenDogs for a fun afternoon of playing agility with your dogs (indoors and heated!) and getting together with other agility enthusiasts. All levels of agility are welcome and you do not have to be a member of EMAC to participate. We recommend that you bring a crate for your dog to use in between runs; a crating area will be provided.

I wish I could leave 10 stars! These folks are the best! We were still in the interview process for daycare when COVID hit and everything closed down. On July 22nd we had a family emergency and desperately needed to board our dog. I called Renaissance Dogs. I fully expected to be told that they couldn't take her because we weren't officially a client, plus it was very short notice.
That is not what happened. They took G. They have been wonderful! I call every morning to check on her, and I get a detailed report. They even mentioned that she is very cuddly. How would they know that if they weren't spending quality time with her! We are so very grateful to Renaissance Dogs. Knowing our girl is such good hand is a HUGE stress relief, and one less thing we have to worry about during this stressful time. Now I'm worried she may not want to come home :! I have feeling she is getting pretty spoiled! Thank you Renaissance Dogs for everything!

After initially submitting an application at the beginning of December, it took until February to finally get an interview. This was after MANY times of me calling and emailing trying to just get a response. We were then informed our interview had to be cancelled because we interviewed for 30 minutes at another kennel. When I expressed my lack of enthusiasm with waiting another two weeks, considering how long we've already waited, the owner began using the global pandemic as an excuse for the lack of professionalism or response throughout this process.
She then informed me we wouldn't be a good fit because the conversation got heated about the lack of respect and being treated as a burden. After over two months of headaches with this company I wouldn't recommend even bothering. Just go elsewhere. You'll thank me later.

We love it at Renaissance Dogs! Friendly, skilled staff are always ready to help. They have convenient hours that accommodate our work schedule, and a nice facility. Our pup is always excited to go in the morning, and he's super tired when we pick him up - so we know he's has a busy day of fun with the other pups! :

Renaissance Dogs has been a vital part of our pets' lives ever since they opened. Being a kennel free environment we know that our pup is getting the playtime she needs, as well as the social interaction with other dogs to keep her well behaved. The staff and owner are amazing people who are great to interact with.
