Green Acres Kennel Shop is a full service pet care business offering pet-friendly boarding, daycare, grooming, training classes, and behavioral consultations for cats and dogs. Additionally we offer a full range of wholesome pet food and quality pet supplies. The business was established in 1965 by Judy and Bob Mooney, who also bred Yorkshire Terriers. In 1982 the business was purchased by Chuck and Mary Jones, who ran the business until it was purchased by Don and Paula Hanson in October of 1995.
Green Acres Kennel Shop offers a VIP and VIP Plus Client Loyalty program based on a client's pet food and supply purchases in our store. Eligibility for participation in the program is evaluated every spring. Benefits to VIP and VIP Plus clients are noted below. A current email on file with Green Acres is required for participating in our VIP programs.

Green Acres is more than just a pet boarding business, or a dog kennel or a cattery; we're your pet's home away from home. Our pet boarding facility offers heated rooms for dogs, heated and air conditioned rooms for cats, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff that will tend to your pet's every need.
Exercise and socialization opportunities. Daycare is a great place to burn off that excess energy while romping off-leash with a new canine buddy in a safe, supervised environment. During the day while you are gone your companion need not be alone. Our pet care technicians are here because they love spending time with dogs, and providing knowledgeable pet sitting services and pet care services. Green Acres offers a wide variety of room service options for our canine guests that are boarding or are in daycare.

The team at Green Acres were very good to our cater to our dogs needs. He is more independent and can have an attitude towards other dogs and some humans. They were able to work with him and he was able to board for a few days which helped us out tremendously. We appreciate everything they did for him and us. Thank you so much! We will be back to board with Green Acres in the future.

Don is amazing resource. He walked both of us through everything we needed to know about our new kitten and helped us figure out the best products to use with him. It's great knowing someone I can ask questions if something comes up and that I have resource for better understanding my pets behavior. I especially like his focus on non aversive training methods.
It's also great knowing he's watching out for our little guy even when I'm not. There was a pet food recall a while back and he called everyone who had purchased that food so they'd know not to use it. I won't go anywhere else.

The store has many useful and high-quality items. I have taken their level-one dog training class, and it was excellent. Kate was the instructor, I would highly recommend her. The private exercise yard is open to customers when it is not in use for training. Boarding services seemed good when we used them once, although you have to pay extra for services like group playtime.
