This evening the owner of this feed store showed up at my property unannounced, and then completely unprovoked proceeded to verbally assault and berate me, all in front of a minor. I have been a loyal customer for over TWENTY-FIVE YEARS, and feeding a barn of 12 horses for 25 years I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at this store and have sent them many, many customers over the years.
I have stuck with them while they dealt with bouts of moldy and sub standard hay, their consistent lack of continuity in their ability to Stock the store, and delivery drivers with bad attitudes. I have shown them 25 years of customer loyalty and have always been understanding that sometimes in business we can go through a rough patch. What happened this evening was a sheer violation of loyalty, trust, and the understanding that I have shown them in the past.
The issues that this man has with me, regarding my narrow driveway and the problems that it poses for his drivers, could have easily been rectified through a civil conversation where both parties could have come to a fruitful resolution, or if he no longer wanted my business, he could also have simply let me know in a civil manner, but, for some reason, unbeknownst to me, this man instead chose to violate my space without warning, attack me verbally, while throwing any professionalism, civility, and decency aside to unleash obscenities at me, in front of a minor, and to destroy a 25 year relationship with a customer who would have been happy to find a solution to his delivery issues.
I have never been treated so poorly or spoken to so rudely and disrespectfully by someone whose business I have supported so earnestly over the years. The most disheartening part of this is that my order, which was already paid for, and at the property, on the truck, could have easily been left on the street level, literally, they could have just tossed the order from the truck, and I would have been fine with it, but even after telling him, that I needed that hay for tonight's feeding, he let his rage get in the way of compassion for my horses and sent my delivery back to the store.
No matter what his concerns are or were, gave him absolutely no excuse for the way he spoke to me or treated me, and his erratic behaviour was actually frightening, and very unsettling for the minor who had to witness this very upsetting confrontation. I post this review in hopes that no one else will suffer the abuse that I suffered this evening nor the ramifications of trying to get hay for 12 horses at the last minute on a Friday evening.
If they had not just delivered to me the day before without issue or incident, then I might have been able to try to make some sense of this assault, but alas, i feel that this man lashed out at me for his own pleasure and that is the most disturbing part of all.

Love this place. This was my source for feed, tack, medicinal supply and chew-the-fat place for over 20 yrs, till I retired and moved my mares to the high desert. And they've been there for decades before me. I still visit E Valley when I'm in the SF Valley and need access to a wide array of horse stuff. Top quality goods and kind, knowledgeable service.

Ordered 70 bales of straw for our wedding venue. All of the ladies and gentlemen here were so helpful and professional. They helped make the order and delivery process easy peasy! We have gone to their facility for feed for horses and other items they sell, but this was our biggest purchase and they made it our easiest! I would recommend them. Their business is always clean and staff is always friendly.

My brother needed some wheat for his meal worms and found this place so we drove over and got some. It was lucky we found this place because he told me the prices are actually cheaper than what he was paying at another feed store (which is actually further from our house). Very friendly and helpful staff, they even let us get some hay for free for the chicken crates. Will definitely return for feed!
