What a cold and gusty wind day - these winds developed behind a cold front and everyone felt them! Winds were projected up to 40 mph. Current temp for the trial was 36, felt like 23. Congratulations to all that trialed and for those getting their title! Thank you to the Tracking Committee for all their hard work, especially to Jane Wiedel for her expertise and direction to make our 1st tracking test a success!

They have been wonderful in helping us training our puppy! We have been to several instructors and each one has a little different style so you definitely have to find out which one is best for you. Some are more relaxed and some are more strict that really want you to learn by challenging you and I really appreciated the latter.

I have been a huge supporter of forest city (about 10 years) and have always trained my dogs there. I have also sent many people to them to train their dogs. In the past they have always been very nice and accommodating but apparently not anymore. I was a couple days late on missing registration (which they also do not advertise at all) and have been asking to register for the upcoming session and it hasn't even started yet.
They refused telling me it was impossible to register for the class now and that I'd have to wait 2 more months for the next session. It's 2 days past enrollment and classes haven't even started. Bulls**t. I'm extremely disappointed especially since I have been such a huge supporter and have sent so many people to them over the years. I'm not sure what changed but this place is not what it used to be.
The last person I sent to them told me they had a horrible training experience as well, so I now believe that this place has just kinda fallen apart. Don't bother going, it's not what it used to be. Give your money to a more respectful, caring training club. Super sad, I miss the old forest city

This is a great place to take your dog for begins training. There are lots of dogs in the classes which provides a great opportunity for socialization. The instructors are all super experienced dog owners and trainers and it's an all volunteer club. I've taken different dogs there both very recently and about 10 years ago and it's been a consistently good experience

We took our wild doodle puppy to this place. He pulled while walking and jumped on everyone that came in the door. Paul was our trainer and he taught us how to be strong leaders. After 6 Weeks of classes, our dog learned how to heal. Now, he almost never pulls while walking and is not as crazy around strangers. I want him to take more classes here so that he can be a therapy dog.
