Just picked my dog up from Airport Pet Lodge after 3 days away. Our chihuahua is 10 years old and is needy (just like his mom lol). This place was so incredibly accommodating for us! Our dog was very happy when we picked him up and the price was so reasonable! We now have a dog lodge close to home we will be bringing him here every time we go on vacation.

We've been taking our dog to Airport Pet Lodge for nearly ten years now, even though it's on the other side of Rockford from where we live. This is because our dog seems happy to go there and she's always just fine when we pick her up. We've never had a single issue with her being there. The staff is always very professional, courteous, and caring, and their pricing is reasonable and fair. I highly recommend Airport Pet Lodge.

Our four legged companion are our world. We want the best for them when we have to go out of town. This is a very friendly place and our loyal companions have always been treated with the best care. There grooming facility always takes tHe best care for them also. We have been coming here for four years with these two but we have used this facility with our other four legged companion as well probably for at least thirty years.

Although their website states that your dog will have plenty of exercise, photos indicating pet socialization, and that "Your pet will receive plenty of exercise and loving attention, develop the self-confidence that comes with being exposed to new social situations, and come home ready for a quiet, relaxing evening with you" - this is inaccurate and untrue.
After dropping my dog off for a day at doggy day"care", I decided to call on my lunch hour to check in on how she was doing. They stated that our dog was doing GREAT "when" she is out of the kennel but when she is in, she is anxious, crying and whining. I inquired as to how often she's actually OUT of the kennel, to which they replied "um, not much".
When I picked up my dog, they had removed her collar and replaced with polypropylene rope as a leash lead (possibly for safety reasons, and we can assume that for now). However, when I called the next morning to inquire further about their services, I was told that they in fact DO NOT allow them free time to exercise or socialize with other dogs, in fact they "never do that". Instead, per their rep, they leave them in the kennel and are only let out every hour and a half to two hours for a potty break.
This is quite the contradiction from what their website indicates their services are. This was a horrible experience and I'm sad that I wasted my time taking my newly rescued 2 year old to this facility. I would NEVER recommend them and I hope that in the future, they are more transparent for their online advertisements.

My wife and I where going to the Jimmy Buffett concert and staying overnight in Byron, IL. Our daughter had heard about this place from one of her friends and we could not have been happier. They took care of our two dogs and the place is very clean and the staff was very accommodating. We will use them again when we are out that way

I have been using a a kennel on Irene Road in Belvidere for quite some time for my two dogs. It's never gone well! Thank heavens I found this gem. I recently went on an overseas trip and left my dogs for 10 days. While I was away I worried because the other kennel I had previously used taught me to dread my time away, based upon how my dogs acted for 2 days after I picked them up.
They acted like they had PTSD. Not this time. I picked up my dogs and they were happy, fed and NOT thirsty. I could not believe the difference. I would not hesitate to use these folks. We even called and they checked on our dogs for us before coming back to the phone with a positive response as to how they were doing. Next time I go away, I will feel much more at ease with using this place. Drop your dogs off here and go in peace, wherever it is your traveling to. Your animals are in good, friendly hands.

I can tell that after I kept my dog and cats here for a 5 night extended weekend, they really were well taken care of. My dog did lack the play with fellow dogs as he does in the dog park, but I did pay for the additional doggy play times during the days. It would help if they had webcams to be able to view the dogs and the cats in the facility! The cost is reasonable, the only thing I wish they had were webcams to view the pets 24/7, even if they're kept individually in their cages.
