Honestly, love coming here, they do great work and my dog is actually comfortable with the groomer. My issue is they don't pick up the phone when you call to schedule an appointment, and they're not always open when they should be. It's a random Saturday with no holidays, I'm outside the store, and they're closed with no sign saying why.

Our little chihuahua mutt can be aggressive around strangers and REALLY does not like getting his nails cut. Not only is Amy able to keep him calm and well behaved, but he walks out every time with the best looking nails I've ever seen. She's also incredibly affordable. It's hard to get a hold of her, but worth the walk in! Highly recommend!

I wish I could give this groomer better reviews because she does a good job grooming my dog, but I can't. My dog would be there for hours inside the crate and she absolutely NEVER answers her phone or responds on facebook. I would suggest maybe hiring another person if she's so busy that she can't take calls from the customers.

AMY is AMAZING! My dogs love her and she does a wonderful job! We have 2 Havanese and they always come out looking wonderful! Amy knows animals and what she is doing! She is super busy, but that should tell you she is trusted and well liked by her clientele! I have had several groomers to compare her to and she is the best! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!

There were two people working when I stopped by to get my dogs nails trimmed this morning. They were in the middle of a conversation when I walked in but the lady stopped to greet me. I don't know how many people it takes to trim a dogs nails but they both went to the back, and left a dog, strapped and unattended on the grooming table. That poor dog was shaking and whining the entire time (which was really only about 5 minutes but still not cool).
The lady brought my dog back out and I looked down and saw blood on my poor pups paw. Of course, I said "omg is she bleeding?!" And the lady said "oh is she?" Then after she took a look she said "oh yeah, I cut a little close on that nail but I put quick stop on it so it's fine" I'm sure it's difficult to cut a dog's nails but that's why I brought her somewhere to see someone experienced.
She did not have the appropriate or expected response to the fact that she hurt my dog. Also their manners left a lot to be desired. Overall, I am not satisfied with my experience at all. My dog was hurt and the other dog was clearly in distress. I would not return or recommend this place to anyone.

I've primarily excellent experiences here. The place is obviously growing as its shed from its old location inside the Ace Hardware down the street and opened this new location in the last several years. She's a master groomer with affordable prices. However, I think she's so busy she often can't reach the phone and leaving a voicemail doesn't seem to get any results or call-back so I'd highly recommend visiting in person--She's usually booked out at least a month or so.
I'd love to se an online appointment system--especially for how fast she seems to be growing--this would make sense to me and probably make the difference between a 4 and a 5 star for me. Or perhaps a dedicated front desk receptionist on the busiest of days.

This place is dangerous. The first time we took him there, he came out limping. I thought maybe he just jumped off the table and tweeked his leg. He was fine the next day so we didn't think much of it. The next time we took him in after I got him home my truck was filled with blood! She had cut his rear nail too short and it was bleeding everywhere.
It took us two hours to stop the bleeding! If that wasn't bad enough, he started limping on his front paw. We checked it and in between his foot pad it was cut up I assume from the clippers to cut the hair between his paws. We put Neosporin on it, then wrapped up for several days changing out the gauze twice a day for several days. He seems better today. We called and left a message with no return call. Do yourself and your pet a favor and go elsewhere.

While I have successfully gotten a nail trim once so far and Amy was very nice and efficient with my dog, the business skills are horribly lacking. I have tried calling a number of times and only get voicemail and the voicemail has been full so I couldn't leave a message. I found a contact option on her website but the submit button doesn't work.
I tested it on both my phone and computer. I just tried stopping by and she was already gone by 4:40 even though her hours list 5pm and drop ins for nail trims are welcome anytime. Her assistant was near the locked salon and said that even though the hours listed are 9-5, she usually arrives at 9:30. This is incredibly frustrating to customers who can't call to check availability and when they try to drop in, the salon hours are not accurate.
If she is so busy, she needs to at least fix her method to be able to let customers leave messages. Plus she needs to update her hours to reflect when nail trims are possible. How can you build a customer base if your customers can't reach you?

It's worth the drive to North Bend! Getting an appointment can be tricky, as they are booked out weeks in advance due to popular demand of return customers. Amy is so kind with our dogs and I never fret about their care here like I used to at Petco where I didn't know the groomers and they always changed. Our pups end up fluffy-fresh and gorgeous. Last month they were wearing cute Thanksgiving-themed bandanas when I picked them up! :

Mt Si Grooming is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! They stand behind what they say about a "pawsitive" experience. We have a older pup that came to us and is very tentative. They greeted her immediately to get her comfortable. They did an awesome job and is very affordable. i have never written a yelp review in my life, and literally came through the door to write one! Addison will be back! THANKS AMY!

This is my first experience with professional dog grooming, as I usually do it myself at home. However, I am a very picky dog mama. it took me four tries to find a vet I was happy with. By contrast, I was happy with Mt Si Pet Grooming from the start. The owner is very kind and obviously has a way with dogs. She's experienced and knowledgeable about dog behavior, the rates are quite reasonable, and the salon set-up is efficient and clean.
They gave my 3.5 month old Great Pyrenees puppy a wonderful first grooming experience. She came back to me incredibly soft, fluffy, and smelling wonderful, with a cute bandana to match her collar and nametag. Oh, and her razor sharp toenails are no longer so deadly! I think I am now a convert to pro grooming, at least from Mount Si Pet Grooming. It's so worth the money for what you get. We'll be back. : Just as a heads up, it was a little hard to get in touch with the salon through their online contact form, so it might be better to call to make an appointment. p.s.
The attached ACE has an exceptional selection of dog foods, treats, and toys, far better than you'd find in a standard hardware store and actually better than many pet stores, too.

Couldn't be happier with this place. I used to live near Issaquah and went to the Petsmart salon because it was convenient. Minimum $65 and you had to book at least 10 days in advance. Now I live in North Bend and I saw the ad in the local paper about the Mt Si Salon and it's new owner. I know nothing about the old owner, but the new one is fantastic.
I get my dog groomed as well as he ever has been and it's very affordable. Being in the ACE Hardware is convenient because I typically have something I need to buy there after I drop my dog off. However, what drove me to write this review is today I was with my dog walking around the river and he suddenly ran off and started thrashing around in what I discovered was a dead fish carcass.
The smell was unreal. So a couple minutes later I called the Mt Si Salon asking if they could squeeze my dog in late on a Friday. Yes, they could give him a scrub. When I picked him up they had washed him 4 TIMES! When I got home, where I'm typing this, I realized they also clipped his nails and trimmed the hair on his paws- nothing I asked for or was charged for.
Plus my dog came home wearing a Seahawks handkerchief around his neck, gratis! I don't get on this website easily, I could care less about reviewing most businesses except those that truly go above and beyond. Mt. Si Pet Salon is one of those businesses.
