James Dickson, owner of Stradbrook Kennels has been taking care of dogs since the age of fourteen. His 1st job was in a boarding kennel. From there he worked in two top show kennels learning from the experts how to care for, condition, and present dogs for successful competition.

Various size accommodations are available both inside and outdoors depending upon your dogs' individual need. Indoor accommodations include central heat and air conditioning, background music, and Steri-lon bedding (non-toxic, non-allergenic fleece). Large individual shaded runs and grass paddocks are available for your dogs to enjoy the fresh air.

What can I say.it's a family run dog kennel. They are super friendly and when I board my dogs, I know they appreciate good care because they have their own pets. I use them for everything.boarding, grooming, and showing.

We brought our wire fox terrier to Dickson for hand stripping by recommendation from an AKC judge. When we picked him up, Dickson was unprofessional and nasty. We thought he was kidding initially, however he was not. Apparently, he claimed his hand hurt from grooming and he was fighting with his wife. I would strongly not recommend him as he is very disrespectful. Avoid.

I love Stradbrook Kennels. I have taken my two Norfolk terriers here for over 10 years, and this week I will bring my third. Alice and Jimmy are professionals who are experts in animal care, and I wouldn't trust any other kennel for boarding and grooming. I have peace of mind that my new pup, Rosie, is in good hands! We have been boarding our dogs for many years with Jim and Alice at Stradbrook (and will continue to do so). They are very accommodating, often taking our dog on very short notice, we have never had a single problem and are always happy with the quality of care they receive.

If you love your pet don't bring them to Stradbrook. We found Jim and Alice to be very unprofessional and our cat came back in terrible condition (dirty, upset, conjunctivitis). It took her several days to get back to normal at our house. I don't write reviews but given what they did to our cat we don't want other owners or pets to experience the same thing. Please find another option because our fur babies deserve better.

Terrible experience at this kennel. This kennel has clearly gone down hill recently. We brought our pet there a few weeks ago and he is still recovering from the experience.

We started taking our mixed breed spaniel here about two years ago and have been thrilled with his grooming. Jim and Alice are caring and clearly love dogs. We highly recommend Stradbrook Kennels.

Stradbrook Kennels top notch! I drive over an hour to board my pets at this excellent facility. My dogs know when we pull in the driveway and can't wait to get inside to greet Jim and Alice.
