I've been grooming and breeding pets for over twenty five years. As a New Hampshire native, I came to Holland, MI via Montana and New Mexico. I have worked for myself and have groomed for others. I have groomed in big shops and tiny shops, big cities and tiny towns. I've groomed for pet shops as well as veterinarians and owned & operated a boarding and grooming kennel for many years in Montana.
Services
I have been raising the rare and beautiful Chinese Crested dog for over 15years now. They are so very sweet, endearing and live to be with their people and their pack. I health test, heavily socialize and raise all puppies with the proven "super dog" program. I also use Puppy Culture protocol tactics to ensure an enrichment seeking, happy puppy.

After years of grooming at the Dog House we tried this place. Our Bichon / poodle dog was accused of biting the groomer then his head was trimmed with a muzzle on, which left the hair long under the muzzle. Ridiculous looking. She cut the hair all uneven all over our dog. Our pup had cuts in both ears and razor burn all over his belly. The under tail area was shaved so close it was a 3 inch raw open area.

She admitted this wasn't her best work to my husband when he picked our dog up. We unfortunately paid for this service. Our sweet dog had to endure this bad hairdo for months as it grew out. We will never go back or recommend this groomer.

Martha is super great and she does good work! For the level of bad that my dogs hair gets Martha never complains! She is super nice and knowledgeable.

There is no way to add to the owner's response, so here is another 1 star review. In response to the groomer's comments that our dog was not groomed regularly - Moe has been groomed at least four times a year throughout his life, so at least 16 times prior to going to Cranberry. He has never been on a six week grooming schedule, and we have always brushed him with the same freuquency as we did prior to arriving at Cranberry.

He was no more (and no less) matted this time than in the past. He has never come out of a grooming in pain, or shaved down to the skin including the inside of his ears. He even had raw skin between his eyes (which was bleeding - again, due to very close shaving). The groomer stated in her response to our original posting that she contacted the owner to inform them that Moe was shaking his ears due to the mats in his ear.

This is a blatant untruth. The groomer NEVER contacted anyone by phone during the day - until the owned called about picking up her dog. Only when the owner arrived and discovered her dog's condition did the groomer mention a concern about the ears. And yes - by that time (and for the following week) Moe continued to shake his head in pain. As stated earlier - we were unable to keep any type of stretchy sleeve on his head. he simply shook it off, and we had to wrap his entire head in an ace wrap to keep him from making the bleeding worse.

It's unfortunate that this groomer is unwilling to take any responsibility or learn from reviews - This was noted in reading other unhappy customer reviews. Clearly it is never her grooming that is at issue - it is always someone else's problem. My recommendation to anyone with a doodle is to find another groomer since it is clear this groomer will not change her approach. Please learn from our dog's miserable experience here.

My dog got kennel cough here and stung by a bee. We won't be back. In reply to your answer. this was 2 years ago. We haven't been back, he got stung as you were bringing him to me to pick him up. My dog doesn't interact with other dogs, I had to bring him to the vet for his kennel cough. My dog is blind so he doesn't go anywhere without me. You didn't require any proof of vaccines.

He regularly goes to grooming so maybe he tried to bite the groomer because he didn't like them. I have never received a complaint about him, not even that day from your shop. I no longer live in Holland so I won't be back. I used the dog house resort after my experience with you. You can see that I wrote a review about them a year ago. I am just writing about my experience with this shop. Maybe you do things differently now. This happened at least 2 years ago because that is when I wrote the original review.

I have always been pleased with Cranberry Dog. Once I asked for the certain type of cut for my dog. As it turned out I had made a bad choice. Cranberry still refunded my money and I learned a valuable lesson on dog grooming.

Cranberry Dog provides fantastic grooming services. Martha just loves dogs, and provides thorough, gentle, consistent care. Her AKC purebred Chinese Cresteds are exceptional as well, and she is an amazing and knowledgeable breeder. We just love her!

I took my 3 year old long haired sheltie to cranberry grooming after 3 years and countless bad experiences. I can't express my happiness with her work! She was so knowledgeable about my dog and seemed to have a genuine interest in her. After 3 years and about 5-6 different groomers I have found our lifetime groomer! She is a little bit on the higher cost end but it was worth it for the attention and quality she did.

I brought my very timid 12 year old dog here for the first time today and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. He looks like a whole new dog! Sparking clean from head to tail. Martha was so professional and caring. Highly recommend her grooming services.

What a fabulous grooming shop! Martha is warm and knowledgeable and has been such a great help in providing insights into my dogs. Ive been going to this shop 15 years and she has done a great job on my 4 dogs over the years. I cannot speak highly enough of her and her business. On numerous occasions she has dropped everthing to help me in a dog crisis too!

Martha is an exceptional groomer, and treats all my animals with the utmost care, respect, and safety when they visit her for their grooming. Her practice is detailed oriented, and encompasses the dog leaving the grooming shop in a better condition than what they came in. Martha is extremely attentive to her client & their pets. She is a compassionate and trustworthy dog owner herself, and I am 100% confident in her abilities to make any dog look fabulous!

The groomer did an awful job on my dog. After discussing specifications that we wanted, it was as if she did the complete opposite. She needs to learn proper business techniques by taking notes on what the paying customer prefers, not what she thinks is best. He is a 6 y.o. white haired West Highland Terrier and Shih Tzu mix, and I picked him up shocked with the results.

We had been to her previously but were still experimenting with groomers. At the time, she was our favorite because she did such a great job giving our dog a westie face. The second time around, his ears had been half shaved, his long beautiful tail butchered and just had the worst body cut I have ever seen on a dog. I would save your money, time and dog's shame by NOT going to this groomer!
