K9U's owner Susan Giordano is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and a professional member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). We do the training for you, then show you how it works. Why? It's faster, more effective, and gets results where you need them—in your home and local area. You save time and effort, and your dog is trained by a professional. Must-have dog manners: Loose-leash walking, anti-jump, polite greetings of guests and strangers, wait at the door, off-leash training, impulse control, and basic dog commands like sit, stay, and come when called.
Why do I need to socialize my puppy? She already loves the world. A. Don't be fooled. Puppies are happy-go-lucky for the first 3–6 months of their lives, but they can become fearful of and growly around everything from the mail carrier to toddlers if you don't actively prevent it. Q. What happens if I don't socialize my puppy?
Also called positive reinforcement dog training (R+). Reward-based training is the use of motivational, force-free techniques to change or modify dog behavior. Rooted in canine behavioral science, these humane training methods get you the polite behaviors you want while preserving trust between you and your dog.
