Connecting animals in need with people who care. We rely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, volunteers, and adoption events to support our services, programs, and mission, "to rescue and re-home adoptable animals who would otherwise be euthanized." Surrenders may be scheduled during the week. Please consider donating.
Services
All potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application prior to us setting up an appointment for you to meet the dog you're interested in. Adoption applications are available on their respective pet pages and can be completed online. Once you complete the adoption application, we will review the document and let you know if you are approved for adoption. After approval, the next step is completion of an adoption agreement. The agreement is a legally binding document sealing the adoption.
It is never easy to part with a beloved pet. Jennifer's Pet Rescue understands this and supports you in your time of need. Responsible pet owners surrender animals for a variety of reasons including relocation, medical issues, and financial hardship. Sometimes, things just do not work out. No matter the reason, Jennifer's Pet Rescue is here to help.
Our mission is to rescue and re-home adoptable dogs and cats who would otherwise be euthanized. Most of our animals come from local animal shelters. Others are surrendered by loving owners who can no longer care for their pets. Due to local laws we are not permitted to accept stray animals. For the safety of our guests, volunteers, and employees we cannot accept feral cats, dog-aggressive dogs, or Pit Bull dogs. Proof of ownership is required. Surrenders may be scheduled during the week. Please consider donating.

Beware of this place so we can stop this lady from doing dirty business. If I could give negative stars I would. The worst I've ever experienced. I reached out to Jennifer about a dog of hers that I found on pet finder that I was really interested in. We set up a day and time to meet the dog, but in the meantime before the appointment I emailed her questions about the dog because it stated on her website that the dog was heart worm positive.
That didn't bother me, but I had other questions that I wanted to know about the dog just so I have an idea of what he's like, his behavior, any medical conditions, if he's good with other dogs, etc. She didn't give me any feed back at all as if the dog was perfect and had no issues and replied "no nothing at all". That same day she changed on the website that the dog had been treated for heart-worm. okay thats sketchy.
I had a bad vibe emailing her from the very beginning, but overall my best interest was in the dog and not Jennifer. I also asked for a few pictures of the dog. I asked her for 3 days in a row. Every day she kept saying she was "too busy", but made sure to tell me several times to bring $250 in cash when I came. The final day before almost meeting the dog I told her that I needed a picture of this dog or I wasn't going to come because the way she was communicating and relating information to me seemed very dishonest and unprofessional, nor did she follow through with my requests.
I also confronted her about her lack of transparency with information about the dog and lack of follow though and she immediately canceled the appointment the day of and told me "good luck finding another dog". WOW. This woman is a liar & unprofessional. If you want a good experience adopting a dog I encourage you to go elsewhere. Adopting an animal is supposed to be a fun experience and bring joy to our lives as we welcome a new pet for the first time, but that's unfortunately not what I encountered at all with trying to adopt from Jennifer. She's a red flag. Just stay away.

We adopted a sweet healthy puppy from Jennifer. She is responsive and very professional. Puppies were picked up outside and families were kept at a significant distance from each other. She did ask that we not wear masks when picking up the puppy so as not to scare the dogs, but as we were outside and more than "social distance" apart, it was completely safe. She truly has the animals best interest at heart.

1. Jennifer responded the same day via email and was on time to our appointment the next day. 2. She refused to tell us where she got the dog spayed, saying "that's information I just don't give out." 3. Would not tell us what she had been feeding the dog, and didn't bring any food with her. It is a 10 pound dog, so I wish she could have brought a couple cups at least. 4.
Most concerning-dog is extremely skinny; you can see her spine and ribcage. Jennifer said she was measuring her food trying to prevent her from gaining weight. 5. There were not any vet records for her, just a rabies tag and a form of her own saying her shots were up to date. 6. Jennifer said the dog had been treated a week ago for fleas, but that "you don't really have to worry about fleas in GA right now, " when it's actually the height of flea season. We were in the car for 1 minute before we noticed the dog was eaten up with fleas. 7. Dog is in good spirits and seems well adjusted.

The dog we chose from Jennifer was exactly as she described. Jennifer replied to my application quickly. I applied online for other dogs and got no response. Our dog, Sophie, is the perfect match for our other dog, and we couldn't be happier! Jennifer was very polite and professional, and I would recommend her to others who are looking for a rescue.

From start to finish the entire process with Jennifer's Pet Rescue was nothing short of flawless. They love what they do and it shows. I was blown away with the amount of services performed beforehand to ensure you welcome a happy and healthy pet into your home. We are in love with our new puppy! *** Adoption took place during Covid and the amount of steps taken to protect their staff, their customers and the pets were above and beyond.
