We purchased our mini Aussiedoodle puppy here in early April. We went in on a whim and did not do our research on this place beforehand which we should have. While we love our dog very much, we do believe this pet store to be negligent as our puppy came home sick and has been sick since we got her. Conveniently when we took her to the veterinarian the pet store recommended she had a clean bill of health even after we expressed our concern about the things we had noticed during the first few days after bringing her home.

We took her to our local vet after a few more days to get a second opinion and thank goodness we did because she in fact was unwell like we had suspected. She has been on medication for about a month now and we have racked up hundreds in vet bills already. Like I said, we love our dog and would never want to return her to the pet store, but they should be held responsible for their negligence in caring for these puppies.

Even when adopting a dog from a shelter the pups are well cared for and checked for all kinds of sickness before they are allowed to go home with a family. We paid over a grand for a sick dog and thankfully have a wonderful vet but I want to make sure that others know what they are in for when purchasing a pet from this pet store. ***Update*** Our vet suggested we get a DNA test done to see if our pup was at risk of any genetic disease causing mutation.

Glad we did it because she is at risk for several and we found out she isn't only poodle and Australian Shepard like we were told but she's also 25% cocker spaniel and 25% American Shepard.something to keep in mind if you're looking here for a particular breed.

Love this place. owner is super friendly! Wish they had a bigger variety of pups. Always the same breed it seems.

A mom and pop style store. Owner is very personable and helpful. Surprisingly great variety of items. Some fish items they have I've only seen with YouTube fish experts. Prices are also very reasonable.

They were ok, they didn't have the cat food brand i wanted (schesir) but they seemed like generally nice people! I would consider going here again in the future.

Super impressed with this pet store! The employees were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was clean and organized. There were many adorable puppies to choose from and we picked one out to be a part of our family.

Got my dog from here last October. They were very helpful and my dog is great. They did say she would be around 75 pounds, however, she's plateaued around 35-40 which is a lot less than 75. It's not a big deal, I know they can't predict everything.

I just bought a puppy from here a few days ago. the nicest people you will ever meet here. and their prices are very reasonable. they even helped my with supplies to take home for my puppy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to adopt an animal. Oh and did I mention they were extremely nice people?

Very please with my recent purchase from Pet City! We bought Dixie a month and a half ago and she is a great dog. Healthy & friendly! When we went in to look for a dog, the cages were clean, the dogs were fed and had water. I do believe they have upped their practices here after issues in the past. Absolutely recommend.

I just got my second puppy last Sunday. In 2012 I bought a border collie Aussie mix, she was a happy healthy puppy and is still a wonderful dog. My new puppy is a mixed breed small dog, also a happy, healthy puppy. I appreciate all the staff but special thanks to Stu and Steve for all their help and answering all my questions. The store is clean, the puppies all look healthy and are in spacious, clean areas. I knew what kind of puppy I wanted and knew exactly where to go! Thank you!

Great place friendly staff I get all my pet food from here even a great rose queen and you can get a ice cream right next door after getting your pet supplies

I went to Pet City Pets the end of February after a friend found them. I was looking for a puppy after my dog passed away. I ended up getting the first puppy I picked up - a Pekinese Shih Tzu/Terrier. She is amazing. She's very smart, she loves everyone and any other dogs she meets. I don't recall a smell to the store that the other reviews mention. All the puppies were active and excited and had clean pens and were cute but not as cute as my puppy.

My friend bought her puppy from here and the owner let her know that if her dog died within a year after the purchase, she could get a refund! Please adopt, don't shop. And if you shop, please make sure you're doing it from a genuine breeder and not someone as sick as the people running this place.

This place is dirty, smells gross, and sells sick animals. Please do not purchase pets from this place. I do not trust the judgement of the owners.

These people abuse puppies. "Stuart C." will tell you to ignore the bad reviews and gets angry and sarcastic with responses when people use the word abuse, but I don't care. I am shocked at the fact this place hasn't been shut down. When you walk in the door you are hit with an overwhelming smell of urine. The place is crowded and filthy.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a second time to check the place out. The two times I went there they had sick puppies and rude associates. On top of that, the sick puppies are outrageously overpriced! Glad I trusted my instincts and reported instead of purchasing! Do not purchase pets here!

I just brought home a lovely little lady from Pet City Pets. She looks healthy, nourished, and well cared for. I don't know what they've been through, sounds like a lot. I met decent, hard working, kind people running the store. It was clear to me that they are doing what they can to improve. We're very happy with our Evie, and they made the sale process easy to understand and clear.

The reviews were already bad before they were being investigated, which is how you know they don't care about their animals at all. they get their puppies from amish puppy mills & don't get them proper vet care when they're sick because they don't want to dip into their budget. please avoid this place at all costs & go to your local shelter instead.

These folks get their puppies from Amish puppy mills. Amish are notoriously cruel to animals of all kinds. And owner recently published that if his puppies get parvo they are just separated and left to die because IT ISN'T WORTH taking them to the vet. Shame on anyone that buys anything from these disgusting people.

This place is disgusting. First of all, they get their dogs from local puppy mills. And they don't care about them at all! They had Aussie doodles in tiny display containers with NO room! They were miserable gnawing at the plastic window they are given. Even though the dogs were highly stressed and I mentioned something about getting them out for a break, they did nothing. He said he takes them out 2 hours a day. what!? On top of the inhumane treatment of their animals - it smells. Don't support this horrible place.

Great place! They have an awesome variety of animals and the staff was extremely helpful! Went in because I've been unsuccessful at switching my ball python from live to frozen. They recommended I buy live and thump them. Sure enough, within 5 minutes, my ball was swallowing his first animal in months! Thank you guys so much!

Pets are sickly beware. Staff friendly. Return policy not true. All pet have ear infections. My two puppies did and someone bought one 2 months later and their pup did too. I had told the own about this to check all the puppies ear. One puppy had heart murmur and othe nose too small and may need surgery later. However, I would buy from there again because it's easy to walk in and buy. What can I say for me I just like easy. The puppies are so cute.

This is the ONLY pet store in this area that I'm aware of (& I've been to them all); that sells Call of The Wild cat food. It is the ONLY BRAND that I'll feed my cat because it's ALL NATURAL, NO GRAINS, NO FILLERS, NO BY-PRODUCT OF FOOD OR ANIMALS, NO GMO, ETC.; & is extremely reasonably priced. While I realize that other stores such as Petco, Pet Smart, Target, Meijer, etc do sell other natural cat food; NONE of them sell this brand.

In addition to that, & equally as important to me, is that it is LOCALLY-OWNED & NOT a corporation. Given the option, I will ALWAYS SUPPORT LOCALLY OWNED 1ST. They know me, my children, & most importantly our cat!

I had a very pleasant experience with them. I had some issue with my first puppy and the owner came up with a very professional solution to resolve the issue. Now I am very happy with my healthy pup Strongly recommended.

I have to say that pet city is a very good pet store. I have had three pets from them and I have never been dis satisfied with them. I love to visit them and see the pets.they have friendly staff always there to help you find the perfect pet.my shi su mix is a very loveable dog I would recommend visiting them you just might go home with a very loveable dog or cat you won't be sorry

We just got our English Bulldog/ Australian Shepherd mix from here. The people working here are friendly and knowledgeable. They've got a decent selection of items for a variety of different pets and things are reasonably priced.

I went here in a recommendation of a friend. I have a fat black cat, very puffy who normally seems to dislike most other humans, besides me. I was nervous about this her first grooming experience to get a lion cut in order to remove a few matty balls and keep her cool. When I came to pick her up, I could just tell she felt at ease, and was not traumatized by the experience, she was not happy, but I could tell she trusted her. I will definitely take her back here!

I am appalled and disgusted that this place is in business! I can't believe the conditions inside. I recently went there to purchase cat food and walked not even a foot in the front door and was overcome with The most repulsive odor you could imagine! How does a business like this stay open? Go there to check it out and file a report. If you care about animals at all.help shut this place down!

I should preference this review by saying this is the first local store I've been to for crickets for my tarantula. I called them early in the morning to see if they had crickets stocked, they did! So I took the trip over. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and friendly. Even at about 10 oclock AM there were quite a few people in the store already.

Their stock is impeccable, you should find what you're looking for in this pet store. I'd recommend to anybody seeking a pet store, this place is absolutely fantastic and have me sold as a customer, I will continue to shop here. Highly recommended! Also, they have the cutest little bulldog walking around, he is EXTREMELY friendly! He likes his side and belly rubbed. :
