Grooming By Dori

I drove by Dori's and gave her a call. I've been trying to get my dog groomed for the summer but most places are charging outrageously. She answered, gave me a very reasonable quote, and I took him in 20 minutes later. It's a small "mom and pop" store, and she had a few dogs happily getting groomed. Note: my dog is well brushed and didn't have mats.

She gave me a call to pick him up 2.5 hours later and I paid what she quoted. My dog had a great summer cut and he was super happy. I don't think I would have gone here if I read the reviews and that's a shame. I agree that Dori isn't a gregarious salesperson. She's unpretentious and practical which I totally *get*. When I picked up my dog she seemed very happy that my dog was so happy. Always give a local place a chance.

Doris is really patient with my pup who has a lot of anxiety at the groomers. She talks to him during grooming to help him calm down and is really good about feedback to help make him more comfortable for future visits. He always comes back so well groomed and looking happy and adorable. Thank you Doris!

I don't know if I'll go back. I like her, she's reasonably priced, dogs look good. But my one dog eyes look bloodshot. It's broken blood vessels, she's not in any distress. I didn't notice it until I was home. I would think Dori would have noticed. I know she's a handful, point it out and let me know if I should bring her harness. It was cause by the choke chain.

Dori is a liar and a bullsh*t con artist. She responded to my post with inaccuracies and blatant lies. I NEVER requested my dog and cat be shaved down to their skin causing my cat to bleed from his ear and hind leg. I NEVER received a phone call during the 6 hours my pets were there advising me that my cat would not be bathed or nails clipped. I took my dog and cat to the vet and my dogs anal glands were never expressed ( although included in her outrageous fees).

Yes I paid yes I didn't complain. When someone is holding your babies hostage the smart thing is to deescalate the situation not add fuel to the fire. Once again. I beg you to boycott this maniac who should have retired years ago and stop calling herself a groomer. She is more of a grim reaper! If you cherish your pets and I do, then heed my warnings.

She is a butcher. Say what you will Dori.you know the truth and I know you! For the record your comment 'I didn't complain' says it all! You had the expectation of a complaint -which I'm sure you're used to hearing. You're the worst groomer I have ever encountered.

She is amazing! She's been cutting both my dogs for years and I'm so grateful because my dog is so bad and she still takes care of him. She is truly the best!

I called this lady so I can make an appointment and she was straight up rude! Who answers the phone like that that owns a business? Glad I dodged a bullet at this place.

Very very rude owner. Kept dogs for 9 hours, and charged us an extra $160! for two dogs, with no warning or consent, due to more brushing needed. Dropped dogs off in the morning, was told a few hours until pickup, had to wait until 6pm. They sat in cages all day long, not being let out. Was quoted $130, ended up being charged $290 for bad haircuts and for traumatising the pups. Won't be back

I love it. They did great. No appointment, and I needed them to put a rush on it, dori DID THAT FOR ME. Picked up 2 hours after. I'm coming back.

I'm rarely go out of my way to write a review but I just had to after visiting Dori with my pup. She didn't take us in because she felt like it was too early for her age but still made sure to trim her nails and cut her hair around eyes. Thank you Dori. As soon as my little pup is older I'll make sure to bring her back

Very nice lady, I never really like other grooming places because of the cut they do on my dog, but she did a really excellent job on Loki. 10/10 recommend

Used their services many times from getting food for the whole office or dining in with family always reliable. Healthy fresh food and decent prices, service is not good because always are busy and not enough servers.

I never wrote reviews but this groomers was great! I have an American Akita she is a bug dog with a lot of hair, Dori was so good with her! & she was done super quick as well which was a plus! If you're someone with a big dog breed and who is really skeptical about where you take your dog, this is the place for you

I took my Pomeranian to Doris and he looks so cute! I get really scared taking him to just anyone because Pomeranians need to be cut in a certain way otherwise it can ruin their coat or cause balding. I expressed this to Doris and she knew immediately what to do. He looks so cute. She was very specific as to what I wanted and is really sweet. The whole processes took about 3.5 hours but so worth it.

Wow. super happy with all the services. taking care of my little its not that easy, but mrs Dori took care of it till done. Will be always bring my little boy here, Kodi finally get favorites spot for groom and spa. Thank u bery much.

They did an excellent grooming on my AUSSIE! I would highly recommend. My dog, Arlie, looks and smells good.

She groomed our dog and cleaned her ears and a day later she developed an ear infection. My dog is in significant pain and we needed to go to urgent care. When we called Doris about it, she claimed she didn't remember the dog. Subsequently she calls back and says our dog had an ear infection before the appointment (which she absolutely did not; and if by chance she did, she should have mentioned it after the grooming appointment).

At a minimum, acknowledging that she caused an ear infection would have been sufficient, instead of denials and lies. Regarding pricing, she initially quoted $70 and then at payment time, tried to squeeze in an additional $5. I would keep away from this place. Looking forward to her diligently replying to this post, with some lame lies and denials.

My dog looked amazing! If I didn't know that it was my dog I would not have believed she could look so healthy and young and ready to walk the runway.

We purchased our Standard Poodle January of this year. We live in Woodland Hills and needed a groomer to help tackle his coat at least once a month. We located Doris on Yelp and our puppy Rex has been going there ever since. It has been 5 months and he is beyond happy with her! The haircuts, shampoos and everything else she does is magnificent!

Critical: Professionalism I called this place to ask a question but does rude and condescending lady was on helpful and disrespectful. I definitely don't recommend this place, I wonder how they're gonna treat pets

Dori is great! We took our 4 month old golden retriever to her and you can immediately tell her love for dogs and that made us feel very comfortable leaving our new puppy with her. She is very transparent such as not cutting the dogs hair until at least 6 months. Gave us a call right away since she is a puppy and didn't want the puppy to have to stay there for many hours. Overall, just a very friendly lady and a place we felt very comfortable with along with a great price! Hopefully this review helps others feel comfortable in picking a groomer they can trust!

I've been bringing my dog to Dori now for around 2 years. I have a very anxious and sometimes troublesome terrier mix who is absolutely terrified of groomers. Dori is extremely patient with him and I don't trust anyone else with him. Though I moved out of the area, I go out of my way to use her service. Dori is great!

I love Doris Grooming. She always does an amazing job with my two small dogs. And she even grooms our Persian cat. They always come back clean and refreshed. And she has a flexible schedule for drop offs.

I have 4 dogs and use Dori's grooming service for all of them five years and very happy!

This is not my usual grooming spot but I had previously taken 3 of our family dogs here and had no problem with the employees. You would think the owner would have the same if not better professionalism but this wasn't the case. I walked in to have my dog bathed and without having met my dog Doris rudely assumed she was a kicker and told me I would have to help her. What's the point of paying a supposed professional to wash your dog when they can't even do it themself?

Not only did she assume my dog was difficult but she looked up the last time I was there and had the audacity to tell me I hadn't bathed my dog in a year. My dog is well taken care of and it's safe to say I will not be returning and if it's your first time visiting, don't even try it. Golden Shears is just down the street.

It's been six years I am taking my baby, Rigby to Dori for grooming, she is great because not only that she is very professional and does a superb job on making my boy so very handsome, she is also a caring person and loves all human's furry friends. So very lucky to find her

I love taking my bobo to dori! Not only because she does an immaculate job at grooming him and he always leaves looking so fresh and handsome. But also because I sense her genuine love, care, and compassion for our fury babies! Bobo is always happy to see Dori and she's always happy to see him, i definitely recommend going to dori. I went to her for the first time two years ago and since then she's been my go to pet groomer:

The lady was super rude on the phone! She said it's 1:30, we don't take dogs at this time! Then said, just come then, and we brought our dog in 10 minutes. She kept raising the price and yelling, $70 bucks for a lab mix, I usually pay $35-40 down the street at paws n claws and she came back happier and a better job! Also she probably treated my dog bad because she's a rescue and when she's fearful expels her anal glands, and I got her back smelling like them :.

Oh and on top of overcharging also added another $5 without consent to the card! Unreal! And super rude and ungrateful! She closes at 5pm and called yelling to get her immediately when it was 4:15 stating " we close at 4!" Wow! I will never bring my dogs or recommend this place again! She had scratch marks on her belly As pictured, Oh and to top it off, not even a bow!

We've gone here for years with our 13 year old dog. She treats the dog very well and takes great care of him. She is friendly and very accommodating even taking appointments on short notice. My dog always comes back well trimmed and looking great.

2nd time around; must admit Doris is always so on point with what my doggy needs. My husky always comes out looking happy, smelling good, and at least 10pounds lighter! He sheds so much, so whenever he does get groomed Doris makes sure she uses the right tools and get all that unwanted hair. Pleasantly surprised that my boy actually is calm and chill with her, so definitely will return. One small disclaimer, prices did go up, first time $75 and this time $85-still worth it!

I never had my dog grooming before. My five year old dog looks great! I thought it was my roommate's dog that was doing all the shedding, nope it was Sadie. No shedding. I do hair out of my house and even my clients saw a difference in how good she looked and she smells great!

Great treatment, just the place for grooming A to Z and reasonable prices. I recommend this grooming place with my heart. JUST LOVE IT!

I was shocked on how she treated her employee like trash I watched the poor guy getting push back to get out of the way from a sign she was showing us

Actual grooming Is okay. Here's the catch, her base rate is comparable to the market rate, but then she leaves a disclaimer based on matting an extra $20 for every 30 min of work and refused to quote a fixed cost saying i have no idea how long it takes. So upon pickup, I got up-charged for 1:45 of brushing time. This is small dog that could easily be brushed out in a reasonable amount of time. Absolute rip off.

Dori does a great job on our 2 dogs, one big and one small. She is so nice as well!

Dori is the most passionate person when it comes to dogs and taking care of them. If you want your doggie to stay groomed and beautiful for a long time after your visit, I'd recommend to try out Dori's Grooming. Definitely worth the money. Thank you for everything, Dori! We've been to many groomers over the past 10 years and actually found Dori by accident. Besides doing a fantastic job, you can actually tell that she loves animals and takes pride in her work. She did a beautiful job of cutting and styling our little Penelope. We will never use any other groomer.

Dori can be rude, most of the time actually. Shes does a good job on my dog, I tried to find other groomers in the area but Dori did a better job. My dog is tired when he gets out of Dori's. Hummm.
