Delores is awesome! She was recommended to us by two friends who said she was amazing. I'm surprised she doesn't already have reviews on here. She first came out for a free 20 minute assessment (which actually was longer) of our pet situation, and I knew we wanted her to return. Today we had our actual training session with her and got SO much out of it.
She teaches you how to read dog body language, and essentially speak their language. It's not the basic obedience training like "sit, stay", etc.although I believe her website says she also offers this type of training. The things she taught my husband and me today were effective immediately! We have one dog who obsesses over things like balls and Frisbees.
She showed us how to correct that behavior and he stopped! Of course we will have to continually work with our dogs until it becomes natural to us- but it sure is amazing how once you understand dogs, they respond and learn very fast. She also provided us with a folder of printed materials about dogproofing our kids; digging; chewing; and signs that your dog may not be treating you as "leader of the pack".
It was very enjoyable training with Delores, and she has made herself available by phone/text/email for as many follow-up questions as we may have. Oh! And she herself trained with Cesar Millan! Can you get better than that? We are so happy to have found Delores and are excited to put in practice the many things she taught us.
