When we brought our then 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog we were at our wits end with him. he was a very jumpy mouthy and disobedient dog. We signed up for 12 weeks of training. Our last 2 weeks were cut off Due to COVID19 pandemic. Although Michael offered to give continued training via Virtual training we decided to not go that route. I know that we have 2 classes left if we feel the need for future work with our dog.
Now about the training we basically have a completely new dog. I worked with our dog every day 2-3 times a day. 1 session for 1 hour the other 2 for 20-30min each. As a result our dog does what we want pretty much when we want. Using either hand signals or voice commands. We use more hand signals than anything else. Our dog comes, sits, stays, stands, Emergency stop, lays down and backs up.
He will hold any of those calls until we tell him free. He also goes to his bed/crate, goes out either of the house or the room. He Jumps into our vehicle. gets a toy when asked. he will shake and speak via hand signals and sits and waits for his meals like a gentleman until we have him shake and is told free. We still continue to work with our dog on a regular basis. Me, my wife, adult son and 6 year old grandson can all control our dog.
That is a long way in 6 months from having a out of control dog. Our dog will be 1 year old in a few days, He still has some puppy moments but the difference is he knows when he does something wrong. I feel that with the continuing education that we give him on a regular basis he will further develop into an even better dog. Bottom line we got the desired results The cost is not for the faint of heart, but worth EVERY CENT.
You get what you pay for. in our case a intelligent fury family member that has integrated well into our household. He is a good protector, friend and playmate for our grandson. Who we can take anywhere at anytime. The trainer trained me to train my dog. Michael has a very precise way of doing this. He can be pretty abrupt at times. But as long as you know its for the greater good of your dogs training its worth it.
My review may be long but I want readers to know Kamer Canine College is results orientated. In the end WORTH your time and money. They will help you achieve a dog that gives you what you desire Thank you Michael, Corina and Fernando for EVERYTHING
