We are new to this side of town and needed a vet closer to home. From the front desk staff, to the technicians, to Dr. Huskey, I was super impressed with their well oiled machine. Even though during these COVID times I can't go inside with my pet, Dr. Huskey spent a great deal of time on the phone with me to explain everything and our options for treatment.
The desk staff worked us in quickly when my dog was sick and we weren't established yet. My dog came out just as happy as she went inside, so I know she was treated well. I'm so happy to have found Hickory Grove Animal Hospital and plan to get my other dog established there!

I don't think there as anything you all could do better. We moved from Charlotte to Edgemoor, SC a year ago but keep driving up to you guys for Ava's vet appointments because you are that awesome! Fast, friendly, always willing to answer any random questions I have when I call. Most importantly, Ava absolutely loves going to the vet's office! Please don't change a thing!

A few months ago I was searching for a new Veterinarian for my baby (pomchi). I read reviews on Animal Hospitals in varies areas including Hickory Grove Hospitals. After extensive research I decided to schedule an appointment at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital and it has been one of the best decisions I made for him. My pooch visited a few times for a check up since his first visit and after each visit I was pleased!
The staff at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital is amazing! Thank you for being so pleasant, professional and resourceful! Dr. Huskey is so AMAZING with my pooch! THANK YOU HICKORY GROVE ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

There aren't enough words for the praise and gratitude we have for Dr. Sherry Huskey and her team, as well as Dr. Berley, who works when Dr. Huskey is unavailable. When our wonderful German Shepherd, Maddox, was taken in for a routine vaccination, we explained he had been a bit lethargic recently. Dr. Berley immediately suggested running a blood test.
The results came back and we found out he was anemic. The next day we brought Maddox back and Dr. Huskey performed x-rays and a radiograph which seemed to indicate fluid in his abdomen. Knowing the gravity of the situation, Dr. Huskey sent us to a nearby emergency clinic, CARE, where they performed emergency surgery to remove Maddox's spleen which had a tumor that was bleeding internally.
The biopsy confirmed our worst fears, Maddox had hemangiosarcoma, one of the most aggressive forms of canine cancers. Dr. Berley and Dr. Huskey's immediate attention saved his life and gave us two more quality months with our sweet boy, yet their attention and care didn't end there. Dr. Huskey continued to follow up with us so that we could keep her updated on Maddox's condition.
Near the end, she fit us into her schedule twice in one week to evaluate him. During our last impromptu visit, Dr. Huskey helped assuage our concerns by validating our decision that it was time to put him down. I have never experienced a veterinarian go above and beyond the way that Dr. Huskey and her team at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital did. Thank you just doesn't carry the gratitude we have for Dr. Huskey and her team.

My pets have never gone here. My 8 week old puppy stopped breathing. We jumped in the car, at nearly 6pm, called the closest vet and were told to come right away. We pulled in, and someone was immediately at the door to take him from my arms.no one can enter due to Covid. The vet rep ran as fast as she could to the back to work on him. It was too late; we were broken. However, the way they treated us; the empathy, the concern and care, is what sets them aside from most practices.
They explained everything in detail, offered & spoke with our breeder, and didn't talk about money or services until I brought it up. They really put the "human factor" back into customer service. They offered to send Rocko off for a private cremation. When I arrived a few days later to pick up his cremation, I found that the staff even took the extra thought to make a paw print for us.
We aren't a " valued customer". they've never seen us before, but the way they treated us in such a tragic, hysterical time is something I'll remember the rest of my life. Thank you Dr. Huskey and the team. We will certainly be back once we heal and decide on another pup. Sincerely, Rachel Ryan

We have been with Hickory Grove Animal Hospital for almost 15 yrs., our pets have always received excellent & loving care. The lobby is clean and it actually smells good. The staff are animal lovers, always greeting us and all clients with a smile. I see them loving on every pet that walks in. I've recommended them numerous times all with excellent results!
