I really liked Pam; however this style of training was not for me. They use choke collars and focus on dominance. My dog, who I built trust with over the past 6 weeks, cried many times and even seemed scared of me after class. I was looking more for a "lucky dog" style training class. One that focuses on love/ positive reinforcement and not fear. This is my third dog and he is very stubborn and I thought professional training would be helpful. I found it more hurtful than helpful.

Top Dog is a GREAT place to train your dog at any level. A puppy or advanced. They are fantastic at sport trainning as well. I live 45 minuets away & it is worth the drive. They have top trainers & the price is also very good. Many options at Top Dog. Go check this out if you want the best for your pet. Jon & Jodi Sanders

Do not recommend for puppies choked mine till started bleeding from nose. Never have I ever experienced that kind of treatment on all my years showing and finishing dogs. That puppy could have been ruined. Only 7 months old. Make sure they have the background in showing and finishing dogs before you take a puppy.

The outside isn't glamorous but the outside isn't what matters! This dog school has been around for 20+ years. It is a good sized and clean facility. (I have taken 2 puppies to her and one to Hound House in Carrollton. Hound House is better if your in the area) They have puppy classes at 6:30 that run about 4-weeks for $105. Pam Martin has always been my instructor.
Even though their puppy class is very basic.: Name recall, sit, down, heel and come. she shows an enthusiasm for puppies some instructors lose a bit. She offers lots of advice while you are working. Thursday at 7:30 is the 6 months + beginners class and the advanced (usually dog show) dogs are there Tuesday nights.

We were supposed to teach our dogs not to bolt out the door, how to calm them, how not to jump on people, and more. Instead, all we did was walk around the big room, heeling, sit, lie down (which we already knew.) After three weeks of that and nothing more, we decided not to return. Also didn't like the heavy handed method used (yank that collar tight!)
