North Paw Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.

Annual wellness exams evaluate your pets overall health, detect problems before they become serious, and keep them on track to live a long, healthy life. We're equipped to perform routine radiography services to identify many types of illness or injury when pets are sick or suffer a trauma.

I've been bringing my pets to Northpaw AH for 23 years now and have had only good experiences. I now have 2 cats with hyperthyroidism and one close to having kidney disease. The vets have been great at giving me all options for treatment of these two cats. One is exceptionally hard to medicate with pills so they gave the option of compounding it into a paste for her ear that absorbs into the skin there.
That was a life saver for both of us! They explain everything well so I understand. They are helping me find a new diet for the kidney issue cat and so far having positive results on her blood work! I highly recommend these vets and clinic!

Everyone is so nice from the front desk staff to the Vet techs and the Vets themselves. Shout out to Dr Heffernan and Graham (and everyone else that interacted with us yesterday) for making Josie's first visit a positive one.

North Paw has been great for my two doggos so far! Pricing is very reasonable with their paw plan which includes wellness exams, vaccines, and spay/neuter. My sweet husky just got spayed last week and I have to say they did an exceptional job! She's acting as if she didn't just have major surgery which is a relief because I took my other dog somewhere else years ago and they did a horrendous job on her, so I am very thankful I trusted North Paw with my new baby.
They also took the time to give me a call a couple days later to check on her! I'm very sad I'll be leaving NC at the end of the year. I have no idea what I'm going to do without them!

I've been taking my dogs to North Paw since 2008. They are easy to work with. From the front desk to the vet techs to the veterinarians. Everyone is friendly and compassionate. They truly love animals and want to provide the best level of care for your pet. I've used other vets in the Chapel Hill/Durham area and North Paw has my loyalty (and my dog's loyalty)!
