Dr. Burkett and the staff here are amazing. They really care about your birds as if they were their own. Attentive and friendly and answer all of your questions. They also make getting supplies for your bird easy, and they also board our birds when we can't take them with us. We know that our birds are always well cared for in the hands of Birdie Boutique.

Had been thinking about switching due to the very long drive and my proximity to other exotic vets but the service Dr. Burkett provides is simply unmatched. The cost of the yearly exams is fully worth the thoroughness and expertise he provides and dr burketts willingness to discuss any concerns you have over the phone before even scheduling an appointment is a life saver when you have multiple birds.

I am so grateful to have an incredible avian vet so close to where we live. Dr. Burkett is an expert and a calming presence when you suspect something might be ailing your feathered friend. The Boutique's selection of Harrison's Bird Food helps ensure you don't hurt your bird by keeping them on a mainly seed diet.

Love coming here, even under worst circumstances (very sick bird). Dr. Burkett is absolutely marvelous with birds. He and his staff are very caring and highly skilled, putting both bird and human at ease in short order. Also a marvelous assortment of bird toys, food and supplies. I love the Birdie Boutique and so does my bird!

I buy my parakeet's food here. The price is very reasonable, and the staff is super nice. My only complaint is that sometimes they are closed when I go there, so check the hours before you go. I plan to take Skye here when she needs vet care. I live in the neighborhood, and I appreciate how they took a historic house on the corner and restored it. Good parking. Great selection of parakeets in the big, open-air area in the back of the house. My kids really love to watch them.

My Louie was in birdie ICU and subsequent observation for days; I was able to sit with her daily undisturbed with the ever pleasant staff. The Boutique is operated by a top Avian Doc who updated me at the end of every day. She's been home and happy for some time and I wouldn't entrust her care to anyone else.

Dr. Burkett and staff quite literally saved our bird's life. We brought her in grievously injured and she stayed over a week in what amounted to birdy ICU. Several times I thought for sure she would pass but the Doc and the staff never gave up on her. Thanks to them we have our sweet birdy back at home with us when none of us thought that would be possible. We cannot possibly thank them enough.

Dr. Burkett has saved the life of my companion bird, an 18 year old Blue and Gold. Beaufort devolved a localized but nasty infection that did not respond well to topical antibiotics. Surgery was necessary to remove the abcess. Dr. Burkett provided compassionate and professional care that led to complete recovery and good health. I was welcomed in to observe the surgery and all my questions were answered during the proceedure.

We have had to deal with a squamous cell carcinoma since then. Dr. Burkett again took care of my bird in an exceptional manner. It is well worth the over two hour drive to get this kind of care.

I love this place! Everyone is so polite. They are very knowledgeable. They don't oversell. They have very reasonable prices on toys. They have premium brands of foods I switched my bird to. They have everything you need for all size birds. On top of that I love their store birds who will sometimes greet you with a "Hello" when you walk in! If you are looking for boarding this is the place! I boarded my Elon for a week here. When I got back he didn't seem like he wanted to leave. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends.

Dr. Burkett has and obvious affinity for birds. There's a reason why he is deemed as one of the best avian veterinarians in the country. His knowledge and passion for all avian kind are presented within a patient, gracious and kind demeanor. I highly recommend bringing your bird(s) to him, even if it's a bit of a drive. You won't be sorry.

I have been ordering food and supplies for a long time and no problems until recently. Last two orders they sent the wrong food. They did send me a shipping label to return it free, but for me returning it is a major deal. Last order I placed didnt even go through. I called and their employee didnt seem upset, I had to drag an apology out of her. Too bad I guess they dont want my business.

They dont care that orders are not being received. If you dont want my business just say so so I dont waste my time. I thought I was helping Dr Burkett because he is an educator and I was a former science person myself.

As a place to get cages, food, toys or supplies for a companion bird, the Birdie Boutique is right at the top - but to put it over the top, there is Dr. Greg Burkett. our Bird Whisperer. We got our little Mango (a Senegal parrot) there ten years ago when they still sold birds. They have since gotten out of retailing birds - Dr. B felt there was a glut in the market, and he didn't want companion birds to lack a proper home.) We formed a lifelong friendship with Dr. B then, and continue to be in awe of his level of care and commitment to birds of all feathers (sorry, I couldn't help that).

They now handle "rescue" birds, waiting to be adopted by the right family. They also board birds for families on vacation. This Saturday was The Birdie Boutique's 20th 'hatch day, ' and I want to send warmest congratulations and wishes for many decades to come!
