July of 2021, we took ownership of Boise Kennels. We feel very blessed to have come into such an amazing community and loving staff. We have been working with animals most of our lives, and training dogs for the last 4 years in basic obedience. We are hoping to bring that knowledge to Boise Kennels in addition to updating the kennel and exercise areas. We appreciate everyone's patience during our time of transition and renovation.

Services
At Boise Kennels we offer a safe and nurturing environment. We strive to create a positive and fun experience, so your pets feel at home during their stay with us. Our facility consists of climate-controlled sleeping quarters and covered outdoor runs. The dogs are taken to individual outruns while the indoor kennels are cleaned and sanitized twice daily.
A. Please call the office as soon as you know you will be unable to pick up your pet and we will reschedule you for the following day. It is best that you schedule your pickup date with a delay in mind to ensure we will indeed have accommodations. I have two (or more) dogs and want them to share a kennel, but they cannot be together when they eat.

Absolutely amazing and loving place my dog was very well taken care of. They sent me pics via email the whole time I was gone. They exercised her and trimmed her nails they fed her only the dog food I provided. When she came home to us she was so happy. These people are dedicated and trusting and loving to animals

One of the biggest issues I have with this business is that two dogs (Jet and Bull) have lived there for around 5 years since they were young puppies. Never going home and only being visited by the "owners" a couple of times. I don't believe you can say you care about the wellbeing of dogs and see two of them waste their lives in a kennel only going outdoors to stretch their legs for a half hour a couple times a day. It's heart breaking, and they are seen purely as a source of money because their "owner" still pays their bill. I'm heart broken for them, they deserve so much better.

Great kennel stay for my Border Collie. My puppy did exercise twice a day and get a bath during her stay. I was traveling from Oklahoma to Washington state. This was a good kennel for my dog to stay out while we took a couple days to rest before we started traveling again. The new owner was very friendly.

I can't brag on these kennels enough! My three large dogs are so very well taken care of when they are guests; they get plenty of exercise and yard time, and they come home just utterly exhausted. The staff are super friendly and I truly appreciate the owners for the hard work they do. My dogs and I truly appreciate you all.

We use them on a regular basis. Our dachshund went there many years ago, our current two dogs have gone there, and now my mother in law's dog goes there regularly. The owner is an incredibly nice person and all the staff we have encountered have been friendly and caring. We won't use any other place!

Fantastic place to board your dogs, when we need to leave town without the pups we take them here and they always have a great time. Fairly priced, good options (bath, exercise, swimming in the summer), and very accommodating, even on short notice. They've consistently gone above and beyond and have thoroughly earned our business and a great review.

My dog stayed for a day here a couple of weeks ago for the first and last time. Upon arriving, the young folks working the front were very pleasant - which is why they get one star. However, upon bringing my dog into the facility they didn't want to let me walk back to see where he would be staying (now I know why). I asked and they allowed me to stand at the door and look but I followed them back anyways.
The kennels were horrendous, and not because of the age, because of the lack of care of them. It smelled SO strongly of ammonia and feces and wet dog. The kennel they wanted to keep him in was dirty and had another dog that usually was in there - my guess is it wasn't cleaned before he was put in there due to how he was when I picked him up. My worries were somewhat settled when they said once the doors were opened the smell would subside and his kennel would be cleaned prior to him going in.
There is absolutely no way this was the case. When I picked him up, he smelled SO strongly of urine, it was as if he bathed in it. Keep in mind, the dog is 100% potty training and sleeps inside and is kenneled at home frequently when we do errands without any accidents. His blanket also smelled of urine. When I picked him up, he was very mopey and not very happy.
I had to bathe him twice to get the urine smell off him. Fast forward to a week later - he has kennel cough and he had his bordetella shot weeks before his stay. He hasn't been in contact with any other dogs since I picked him up so this was the only way he contracted it. I warn folks not to leave their dogs here as the way they care for the facility is a direct reflection on how they care for their doggy guests.

I forgot to leave my review the last time I took my dog in. She's a senior now and I paid the little bit extra to have her boarded inside. I want to say that she came back in great condition and even maybe had a little training not to beg in the kitchen as much. Hopefully if my old lady doggie is still here the next time we have to go on vacation, this option is still available for her.

Boise Kennels is a no-frills, get what you pay for boarding kennel. We boarded our dog here for a long weekend on short notice. They were able to accommodate us very quickly and that was much appreciated. Being new to town, we decided to give them a try. Our dog needed an update on a vaccine and they were able to handle it right there when he checked in. Our dog seemed happy upon pick up and this made for a good experience.

I have been taking my 3 dogs here for years. My 2 Springer's and boxer are always very excited to see the staff and them to see my dogs. I recently left them in their care for 3 weeks while on a trip to Spain. And everything went well. I trust them with my dogs and I really love my dogs. I know they will take care of yours also. Their prices are very reasonable also.

We've taken our lab pup to stay here twice. The people who work at this kennel are always very friendly and helpful. They seem very knowledgeable about dogs and their needs. They even gave my puppy extra exercise time, free of charge, because she had so much energy. She did come away with a cold once, but you expect that with kennels on occasion.
I gave it four stars because it always seemed kind of hectic when I picked her up and they didn't know a lot about how my dog in particular fared during her stay. All in all, I would use them again.
